Very Pleasant Place close to Porvoo

Finding this place is hard. Either use the navigator and drive strictly according to the coordinates, or use the Internet on the spot. Check in advance that your navigator has a road to this place. We spent the night here on the way to Helsinki. A great option to relax if you arrived in Finland late and if you want to spend the night cheap.

Really tasty waffles in the cafe with Hommanäs' own wonderful raspberry jam. There could be signs to the cafe on the road, so as a tourist it took me a while to realize that it is in the main building :D

A beautiful manor house from the 18th century. Warm and welcoming family. They produce excellent jams and juices. Very peaceful setting and nice athmosphere.

Breakfast was great! The hotel is situated in nature so very peaceful and perfect when travelling with a dog. The room was comfy and I slept really well.

Rooms for dogs are not modern, which was ok for us, but those rooms have usual door locks, so out big 30kg young dog opened it by herself and was running in the hall alone. My room was booked by the company and when I paid they said they couldn't give me a receipt with company details. Early in the morning they started changing the TVs in the rooms, so there was drilling and other noise. The safety of the elevator is under question...

The hotel room was nice and quiet but too small for that price. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was exceptional and the serving staff was very kind. The restaurant is overpriced but the food was great even though very tiny portions and it was scandalous that they made us pay for tape water, especially here in Finland where it happened for the first time in a restaurant! Close to Helsinki, there is a lot of forest, near the sea, and a park. Everything you need for successful meetings and days overall, including a morning pool, sauna, and tasteful breakfast. We love the spa and also the spa restaurant is surprisingly good. The hotel is at the seaside on the way from Helsinki to Porvoo. It’s very nice option if you want to relax and away from crowds and cities. But the hotel room doesn’t really worth the value much. There is no coffee machine or tea set in the room. We had a company trip here for one night. Most of the buildings are rough 80's styled concrete things, but the manor itself was beautiful. Location was nice and quiet, with green nature all around. A big let down was the food and the wine we had for a late dinner. The food was quite low tear and the vegetarian option was horrible canned mushrooms thing. Nice cozy place away from city hustle bustle.... ideal for hosting conferences and events. Bit far away from any happenings and having your own car to drive around would be ideal. Also dinner lunch and dinner options are limited and better to include in to package.

great place to visit for a conference or other social training etc. Great restaurant with ambience that will impress. Bar also extremely cosy with local beers that will make your social get-together reach new heights.

A nice farm next to a river owned by hospitable hosts holding horses and donkeys. We enjoyed having a tasty breakfast with warm homemade buns and other local products, staying in a traditional summer house (good sleep as no sunlight, sounds and heat getting inside). There are also sauna, bicycles, boats and hiking options.

Best day of my life!! The owners were super super nice, walking with the donkeys was amazing and the savusauna with dock on the river was too notch!

Because. Clean apartment and no unnecessary crunches like this during Korona. I didn't miss anything. I was overnight and the friendly host brought breakfast and payment was easy to complete. I recommend it to people who want to spend their nights sleeping well. Decent beds and bed.

Lovely hotel with new fresh look and great Finnish design. The room was simple and peaceful. The reservation included relaxing sauna and one of the best breakfast with many vegetarian and vegan options! Location is right there in the heart of Porvoo. You could also rent city-bikes from the hotel to explore the city more freely. The staff were very helpful and gave us info where to go in old-town....

Low budget, old skool. Clean and tidy with nice staff. But rooms adjacent to road are noisy, and the blinds / curtains are poorly maintained so room never dark. Tired and needs refurbishment - looks like 1990 European style. Easy parking and access, breakfast relaxed and okay. Room service is limited only to replacing towels, so toilet not flushed not beds made up. There are better choices.

Peaceful place to stay overnight in the old city center, simple yet very good breakfast, small garden where you can eat breakfast and enjoy blossoming plants.

We (two adults) stayed at Ida-Maria in Jan/2021 for two nights in ”Pieni huoneisto, puutarhanäkymä”. The room was lovely, cozy and clean. Delicious breakfast and very good service! All of this in the heart of Porvoo Old Town. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Everything is pretty good here! Only the pillow is a bit uncomfortable. But the location is great. My favorite is breakfast and sauna. Definitely recommended.

Cozy restaurant/hotel in an old manor in middle of Old Porvoo-city. Basic rooms that served us perfectly - massaging showerhead was a big plus :) Finedining restaurant conveniently in floor below. Exellent breakfast. Will visit again 👍

It is a charming hotel located on top of Porvoo just next to the church. It is a beautiful old merchant house renovated to fit a small hotel. Ideally located in Porvoo, this basic, no frills, self-service hotel room was quiet, spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is true that the pillows were children size, but we brought our own. The breakfast was very basic and would have been much better if the bread selection had been more varied and exotic.

If you are looking for a flash modern hotel with stamp size rooms this is not for you. It is an older hotel with spacious clean rooms, a superb breakfast and friendly service. I was there for 10 days. The room was very big. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and warm. They were cleaning my room every day. The brekfast was served from 5:30! - that is really good and there was so many things to choose. The hotel is not modern but it is very cosy, people very helpful. And it is in centre of town. For sure I will come back!

How can people rate this cozy and well-equipped hotel (my room had tea/coffee making amenities and a fridge!) less than 4 stars? For the money, given the country we are in it’s just fantastic! Hotel’s Achilles’ heel is the distance from the old center in case you are on foot and it’s a cold Winter outside (it’s around 20 minute walk, so doable in any case). Other than that everything is just brilliant...

This place is about 25 minutes walking from old town Porvoo, and like many hotels in Finland, there’s no air conditioning only fans. But if the weather is nice it’s a lovely walk and the rooms will feel very comfortable. There’s plenty of space (by European standards) with your own private bathroom!
