Where to stay in Porvoo

A very strong recommendation for a weekend getaway! It has it all - a great location, design, food, drinks, service. A special thanks to fantastic cocktails, a delicious breakfast and stylish sauna with pleasant atmosphere and good "löylyt". The stay was worth every penny!

A full five star hotel! Close to everything and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. It felt like they knew each other. Nice little boutique hotel in complimenting the spirit of Porvoo Old Town in a splendid location right in the heart of the city. The room was neat and cosy and had a little sauna as well( thank you for the upgrade). Breakfast was lovely and served in a nice and intimate space. Every time again. Gorgeous little sweet place. I had room number 1 with a sauna in my bathroom. The owner was just lovely and gave us a really warm welcome. I dont know why this hotel should not deserve 5 stars... its location, cleanliness, amenities.. all were perfect.. the only downside is the distance of the hotel from the public transport.. but everything else greatly matched expectations...

How can people rate this cozy and well-equipped hotel (my room had tea/coffee making amenities and a fridge!) less than 4 stars? For the money, given the country we are in it’s just fantastic! Hotel’s Achilles’ heel is the distance from the old center in case you are on foot and it’s a cold Winter outside (it’s around 20 minute walk, so doable in any case). This place is about 25 minutes walking from old town Porvoo, and like many hotels in Finland, there’s no air conditioning only fans. But if the weather is nice it’s a lovely walk and the rooms will feel very comfortable. There’s plenty of space (by European standards) with your own private bathroom! The hotels rooms are not so modern equipped, but are clean. The bed is comfortable. Only one minus price for this standard should be less.

This is a fantastic hotel to have retained its character, national personality hotels, a small Finnish cities. Special room 103, a Deluxe Suite, three bedroom because of the layout and balcony-loggia. Views from all Windows - pastoral landscapes. Bathroom with Jacuzzi. And very friendly and attentive to all the guests the staff. Rivers.!

I stayed here in February 2020 for 4 days Hotel is clean and nice ambiance. Loved it 😀

Reception service was great, room was spacious and the beds bigger than standard. It was also really nice to be able to book the sauna just for us - we managed to get the last timeslot. Breakfast was lovely and actually the fact that it was in a separate building across the courtyard was nice because then you had a nice walk across there in the fresh morning air.

Beautiful hotel just enough at the side of all noisy and busy town centers that it's nice and quiet. Room was clean well designed and spacious. Toilet/shower was clean and spacious as well. Only downside was the noise from the a/c but it wasn't noisy enough to stop from getting a good night of sleep. Breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of warm and cold items to choose from and everything was fresh.

A really lovely experience, we stayed at a traditional Finnish cottage close to the lake. Comfortable bed, beautiful tranquil scenery. Friendly staff and very helpful. Mini kitchen could be better equipped and more variety for people with allergies provided at breakfast (bread was dry), but otherwise we were happy with our stay.

We stayed at Krapi Hotel during our bike tour in Finland. Krapi Hotel is situated near the Lake Tuusula and the hotel is very beautiful. We had a lovely room and the dinner at the restaurant was absolutely great.

A hotel built into an old farm building. The room was in very good almost new condition. Good bed with large fairly firm pillow. Very good shower and very good condition bathroom. Room was clean. Building is locked and you get in with your key. Building is in good shape both from the inside and outside. The reception is in another building. We were four people and we had an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room and balcony, very comfortable and cosy. We shared a bathroom which was OK. Being from Canada my friends did not know where to hang their towels in the shower so as not to get them wet while showering. There was no protection from the splashes. What really was nice of the staff that they had bought 4 NEW BIKES just to accommodate...

I spent the midsummer evening at Gustavelund with friends. Bands were great, service not. When I went to buy food and some drinks alone from the grill, the male bartender first tried to charge me 1250e. When I pointed out him that he had made a mistake, he did not even apologize, just stared at plankly and changed the sum. Decent hotel option for conferences and meetings. Nice location next to the lake ... I was there in November but should be really good in the summer. Rooms and bed are relatively small given the out of town location. Walls between rooms are thin.

The flat is in the best location. Train station just in the corner and the shopping area as well. The minus one is the bed is small. No tea and coffee in the room as well but if you in budget trip I will recommended this. Train to airport is also easy bc Tekkurila is the hub.

The vàntaa Tikkurila was very near to the train station which had a good location and good amenities with groceries nearby

before you book you have to understand this is a self service hotel but it it very easy to travel with train. airport is within 30 mins shops are around some choice of restaurant only is toilet don't have enough soup for washing otherwise nothing special

Personnel was not un kind. The rooms were not dirty. It is 40min away from the city centre by bus. For the price (I paid 20€ during a weekend on high season) I would come. Only thing could be better for me is more ventilation in the rooms.

I can't in good faith give this place 4 stars, but I would give it it's a solid 3: it's what you expect for the price, yet it could be better. I would call this a motel rather than a hotel. A decent enough place considering the price point. We stayed at 3person room with shared bathroom. There were six working bathrooms with questionable locks but we managed as we were able to stand guard so to say. (If I were to go alone I’d take a room with bathroom). A lovely service apartment that is close to a train station - connecting between the airport and the city centre. It's a modern style apartment with all the amenities equipped - sauna, gym, shared kitchen, and shared living spaces. The apartment room is clean and modern, and contains everything you need even kitchen equipment and laundry. I highly recommend this place if you visit Helsinki.

Just 1 walking minute from the Malmi station, which is served by the airport line (only 15 minutes to the airport), so very conveniently located. Our late check-in (1am in the morning) was working fine, just had to type many details into the tablet computer (maybe this could be pre-filled before arrival). Contactless, Self Service Hotel. An overall fantastic stay. 2 drawbacks. 1. I was sent instructions by the hotel while l was on the airplane. Then l didn't know anything was sent. Overall property was nice, hotel room was spacious and enough for a week stay. However, the pillows had a distinct smell to them of body odor and when receiving more towels/pillows those had a odor. The fridge was also leaving off a bad scent where I couldn’t even open it. Nothing was even in the fridge and smelled as such upon arrival. Metro & buses 200m walk. 24 hr supermarket 100 m away. Rooms, small but all you need & clean. Access via pin number's, all very straightforward.
