Sadly the hotel reviews are bringing down the rating for the restaurant. I'm not here to comment on the hotel, only the exceptional food served at Restaurant Marine. I rate it five stars because the taste and quality of the food were at peak performance.
I started with ox tataki, which is seared ox tenderloin. Think of ahi tuna with a quick sear on the outside and raw on the inside. The flavor was...
Little apartment. inside the motel grounds with a lovely sea view,2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom and only a few euro more than a hotel room,it's without air conditioning but at 105.00 a night it's still a bargain and all the e
Restaurant: Comfy, laid back athmosphere, attentive and professional staff. Even on a busy friday evening the food was served timely and warm from the kitchen. Delicious hamburgers and fish & chips. Popular among locals. Will come back again..

A pleasant place with friendly flair. May be called "old-fashioned" but in most positive way 👍 No doubt, I would stay there again 😊
Great place, friendly service and excellent breakfast (with great coffee!) that can be enjoyed on the terrace with a nice view over the bay. Family friendly! 💕😊👍
I got told to vacate the restaurant area when I was having a look around as above the entrance read " restaurant " but as I was leaving I was told I wasn't allowed in that part of the hotel as it's only for personal after saying I was just checking out the restaurant I was told " it's not anymore open" and as the hotel is a good one or two kilometers away from any eating place means that unless your...
Great place, friendly service and excellent breakfast (with great coffee!) that can be enjoyed on the terrace with a nice view over the bay. Extra points that one can buy and enjoy the breakfast on it's own, even if you haven't stayed the night. Family friendly! 💕😊👍
Okey hotel I would say. We stayed here for 1night. We rented bikes from the hotel (10€/bike), that was easy and nice way to see Tammisaari. Hotel is located maybe 10-15 minutes walk from the centrum of Tammisaari. Hotel was clean, and the room was fine. Breakfast could have been a little better, it was just basic few things. And room was pretty hot during the night, but there was a fan in the room...
The view is very nice depending on the room (some of them have a parking view), the food at their restaurant is great and there's also a sauna. However, the rooms don't have a safe or a freezer (although there is one at the lounge which the guests can share) and maybe they could be a bit cleaner. The staff is very polite. Also, it is pet friendly.

Somewhat crowded caravan campground with showers, bathrooms and a communal kitchen. Rented one of the 4-person cottages, which are very "bare essentials".
Very nice camping site with large sandy beach. Everything works simple and fine. At midsummer eve it is a bit too crowded. Nice forest path to small islands leaves from the corner of the site.
Super nice. Often live music, nice terrace by the ocean. A lot of nice people. Service slow and a bad bartender eye, people do not follow queue. Waited 30 min to order. Good drinks. Quite expencieve.

Rooms were ok, doors difficult to open and close and noise from the hallways will disturb even the most tolerant guest. If you enjoy coffee in the morning, the brown water they call "coffee" will disappoint for sure. Location along the marina is the best thing to point out.

Great alternative to a hotel. This is managed by a retired couple. The two little appartements are very functional and private, well located. One of them has a traditional sauna. The ower speaks English and is very reactive. Strongly recommend.
This accommodation had a soul and everything needed for a relaxed holiday. For a morning swim we walked in a few minutes, and the old, lovely wooden house blocks on Ekenäs were right outside the door. Everything worked flawlessly and the hostess was immediate and friendly.
For an art lover, this accommodation is just great!
I have stayed I Ajuri house. Small but nice place. Inside are everything, what is needed for living. It was a little bit cold at night (oktober).

A lovely, cute and yet fully functional room. A very clean, bright and peaceful place, from which it is a short distance to everywhere. I recommend it to everyone😊👍
I missed the air conditioning. Water gutters blocked, water came to the stairs. There were no coffee cups and tea cups and sandwich plates. There was no kettle. You have to prepare breakfast yourself. Breakfast in Hanko is not allowed until nine o'clock. Otherwise, everything was fine. Price according to the holiday period
Villa Janne has an atmospheric location and a great location. I understand that it is not the owner's fault that there is a heat wave in Finland. Yes, I would have liked to know in advance that the room temperature is + 32 degrees. Helletta had already been going on for a month, so it was definitely clear. I could have moved accommodation all the way to late summer
Absolutely awesome accommodation. Lovely courtyard in a good location. Houst was really nice and ensured the smooth flow of our stay with messages.

We had a very pleasant and peaceful stay at Villa Janne. The room included a bathroom with toiletries, a fridge, wine glasses and hand sanitiser. The breakfast was great: fried eggs, meatballs, little sausages, pancake, baguette, various cheeses and jams etc. However, the breakfast room was small and got easily crowded, which was not comfortable during these pandemic times. There should be a sign limiting...
We stayed at Villa Maija during our one night stop at Hangö. The villa is nicely located close to the main beaches and within walking distance from several restaurants. Breakfast was good, reception friendly and our room was spacious with a private “porch”. Room was decorated in a cosy way with fresh flowers. For a longer stay in Hangö / Hanko, I would recommend planning some daytime excursions like...
Lovely Lovely Lovely. Something different for some one who's fed up with modern settings. Beautiful Villa, and beautiful room with a cute balcony. Good and happy service. Breakfast was very good with different kinds of cheeses and so on. Nothing too much, less is more. I will defenetely come back.
Very cute traditional Finnish hotel. Spacious rooms, bathrooms are a bit basic. WiFi is poor but who needs it in such a lovely relaxing location

An old police station turned hotel. The place is very clean and charming, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent.
Breakfast is included in the room price, and there's a sauna you can use if you want to (also included in the room price).

Location is very good and easy to find a parking spot. Breakfast is also very nice. Rooms are quite small and the view is not the best Hanko had to offer.
I expected to see an overpriced, shabby hotel, but the clean and cozy rooms, sympathetic service and great breakfast were a positive surprise. Better value for money than some of the villas nearby. If only they extended the breakfast serving time by one hour, it wouldn’t be so crowded at 9 am.
Bedroom ok but cramped shower room/ toilet, very basic breakfast. Bright room at night with only window blinds to block outside light and thin curtain.
Delightfully friendly staff and a modest, modern chic decor make this an excellent lodging option in Hanko. We rode the train in to Hanko and walked to the hotel - this took about 10 mins. The location is superb and there are shops and attractions nearby. The layout utilizes space well and the history of the building is interesting. The breakfast had many delicious and healthy options and was included...
Great location, within 5 or at most 10 minutes walking distance from all of the most interesting places. Nice and comfortable room. Clean with good service.

There's two pools, one 25m long one for swimming and one smaller, warmer one with some special stuff to chill in. Then there's normal saunas in each dressing rooms and a fog sauna beside the pools too. It's very expensive with not much in exchange, 25€ for a person over the age of 18, 15€ for a child and 15€ for senior citizens. The view isn't even that good! I would recommend rather going to the swimming...
Overall experience was good and relaxing. We got there early so we got to enjoy the quietness of the spa. Incredible views and a relaxing atmosphere. After a few hours almost exclusively families arrived which meant more noise, but we didn't mind it that much. The only thing that bothered was the lack of space in the "therapy pool". Saunas were excellent.
We also booked a couples spa treatment. It...

The spa is really nice and has many saunas, steam room, jacuzzis and swimming pool. Really nice spa.
We had some food in the restaurant and it was tasty. Service was good as well.
I found the rooms a bit of a let down, they were old and in need of a renovation.
Rooms are quaint, basic but clean and warm. Restaurant was of average quality, nothing to write home about. Spa was quite nice, swimming pool, two jacuzzis, a hot and cold pool, kids pool, a few themed (and small) saunas, and a steam room. Note that adult sessions start at 7.30pm on weekends so you can avoid the kids and have a beer if that's your thing. Without prior notice they told us the spa was...

The advertising was a bit misleading, because the cottage did not have a sea view or its own beach, but the cottage village had a shared beach within walking distance. The cabin was clean, a basic cabin. You could walk to the nearby Ruukki area, which was great.
Beautiful cottages on the outside. Pretty calm. However, during our visit there was a lot of commotion in one of the cabins until late at night. The cleaning was done poorly in the cottage. There were empty bottles in the corners, the toilet was untidy, etc.
Cosy clean cottages. Nice beach nearby. The service lady was quite nice, she offered us a change of cottage on the top of the hill because our car couldn't go downhill due to heavy snow.
Ok cottages. Good pots, but the frying pan was way too small. All the knives were dull, a sharpener would do wonders.
Location is good, a short walk from the restaurant Terho.

Lots of good. The cabins are well equipped. We were in intense heat. I would have liked more opening windows and nets. Likewise, driving to the cottage's yard is extremely standard by car. A very steep slope and surface rocks that you have to be careful of. Lower parks good.
Big two floor cottages for 6-8 residents with all amenities. Full kitchen with owen, dish washer, fridge/freezer, micro, coffee maker. Own sauna and fire place. Tv, radio. Two toilettes and one shower. One bedroom downstairs (and sofa) and beds for six upstairs. House wide terrace outside. Some hudred meters to seaside sauna and small beach. Cozy cottages with good cooking facilities and hot water. One cottage has enough room for 6-8 people and has two bathrooms.

Hotel located in cool area! Clean and good service. The bed could have been bigger for 2 people. Breakfast was good, but would have been nice if it was not set on a plate for you and one could choose what one wants to eat. Could maybe expect a bit more value for one’s money.
Very cosy. Tea and coffee available for guests as well as a fridge and microwave in the common area. You can easily borrow a bike to ride around the area.
A fine tiny hotel with super friendly staff located in a beautiful area. Your body and soul will rest here, highly recommended :)

This year visited twice, the price quality in place. The beach cottage was just what I was expecting, my own sauna is a nice bonus although the big sauna is also next door.
In barbecue shelters, ready-to-burn dry birch sap.
The rooms in the main building are modest in terms of equipment but also in line with expectations at their price level, there is not much to stay inside.
I recommend!
