Visited with our grandson, and we all loved it. Horse sleigh was relaxing and peaceful. Great snowmobiling. Best for us was Dog Sledding. Absolutely loved it. One or two problems over at the restaurant. They ran out of egg and other warm dishes our last morning. A couple of older ladies could have done with something warm. The rooms were a bit tired. But we are planning another visit, with more dog sledding. Staff in the Safari building and Bubo cafe were great and so helpful. Grandson has bad nut allergy and nuts were put above and next to crisps etc in open bowls. So take epi pens if used.

This was the most magical holiday I've experienced in my life, the place and the people will live long in my memory.
The log cabin style apartments are huge, beautiful and warm - and we especially enjoyed the authentic Finnish sauna. Important note for people arriving from Rovaniemi airport: contact the resort and they'll arrange a shuttle bus to and from the resort at a very reasonable price!
This really is a winter wonderland; the zoo is amazing, we loved Venus the polar bear, and there are so many incredible activities to participate in - I especially loved the Finnhorse expedition to see the northern lights, and the husky safari. Everyone is so friendly. My partner and I loved it so much, and we got engaged there - it was a perfect, magical backdrop for that. Thanks to all at Ranua, we will be back!

What an amazing 4 night stay!! The accommodation is lovely, and warm, even at -26c.🥶 Its well equipped and the sauna is a must!! The snowsuit etc provided were very warm, only thermal base layers needed! All the activities we did were well organised and fun. All the staff are so friendly. The evening finnhorse trip was just magical, into the forest. We also did husky safari and snowmobiling to the reindeer farm. Both were great fun and the scenery breathtaking. We ate at the restaurant twice, both times good. Breakfast had a good choice too. Managed to see the northern lights on our last night/early morning thanks to an alert on the app provided 🙏Just an amazing and magical end to my 50th birthday trip

Had a wonderful 3 nights stay in this magical place. A nice peaceful location, with plenty of activities for any age. Deserves more than 1 star rating.

Loved our time in the snow and extreme cold with all the clothes provided to keep us warm. Never once did I feel the cold even in -30 temperature

We stayed here for 3 nights. The cabins are really nice and very well equipped, very warm too. We had 2 bathrooms, a sauna and room to sleep 6 people although were only 4. We booked the husky safari, snow mobile safari and Santa experience. All were very enjoyable. We booked full board. The food is average, there is a pizza restaurant that is open day times and a main restaurant for evenings. If I was to suggest an improvement for future guests stay, the F&B staff are very friendly however they come across as very unexperienced in the service industry. The food could do with an uplift also.
The artic zoo is really big and although we had a nice time, we didn’t see a lot of the animals that were there, they were not visible. Impressive facility though and the animals seem very well cared for as well as having lots of space.

Immersive cabin experience. You're right in the middle of nowhere of a big winter wonderland (if you go during the winter), cabin is BIG even for its price, we went just the 2 of us and our cabin had rooms fit for 6 people. Two floor's, 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms and a private sauna (which is one of the best parts) Kitchen (stove, microwave, utensils, fridge) and fireplace also included. Overall great rooms, though our WiFi and TV didn't quite work so well but generally very immersive and a one in lifetime experience. You share half the cabin house with another guest and sometimes you could end up hearing them but generally it's quite friendly and civil.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you plan on staying here, please understand that the resort is quite literally in the middle of nature and basically nowhere. There won't be a structured direct bus that takes you in and out between places (and you will need to be travelling a lot). Only option is to take a cab, which can cost up to 300euros to get from airport to resort, or if you're lucky, catch a shuttle bus for around 18 euros but these often come and go at very specific, rare timings. So be prepared for this (or you can rent a car, thats another option)

Everything outside is amazing. Beautiful scenery, quiet and the snow feels and looks straight out of a fairytale.

The community is small and you can easily get to know people around you. Staff are generally very polite, nice and welcoming. Especially the activity staff! A big shoutout to the lady who takes care of the Finnhorse activity, and took us sightseeing. They are very sweet and the horse is beautiful.

Overall, love it. Definitely a new experience for me and worth its price!

Stayed for 2 nights in a lodge and 1 night in the Arctic Fox Igloos- owned by the same people. The lodge was fantastically equipped and very clean. Breakfast buffet was included and consisted of a hot and cold selection 8am-10am. We enjoyed the ski mobile trip, visiting the zoo and a ride with the huskys during our stay. All experiences were well organised and you could borrow extra pieces of warm kit if needed. We had a hire car which was very useful given the remote location.

Dinner needed some improvements. The menu is repetitive and not always so delicious. The cabins are excellent. But the shower on the top floor is very small and crowded.

First time visiting Lapland with our 2 children, the cabins are amazing, this hotel was quite far away from the airport but we didn’t mind as we was happy to be there for Christmas time, majority of staff were very helpful and welcoming aside from one person who was completely rude, very ignorant and unhelpful, a young man which we seemed to avoid for the the rest of our stay there, as he made us feel quite uncomfortable with his behaviour and filthy looks he gave to us all throughout, lots of fun activities to do and the zoo is also a lovely addition, I would like to say we would return here but we will be going to a different location on our next visit to Finland.
