Where to stay in Savonlinna

Starts to be old and tired do time for renovation is coming up. But excellent staff and location made it !

Very good. Rooms are large and suitable for larger groups with a common kitchen between individualismi groups of rooms. Works well enough. I will go there always in savonlinna if I have a chance

This is our go to go place in Savonlinna. The (Disco) swimming pool is definitely a plus. Comfortable bed and pillows. Slept well. Breakfast could be better.

The room was old. The tiles was messy paid so the concrete between the tiles was over the tiles. The shower sink was the same as the sink. So it ran thru a whole in the shower under the sink. With a name like Spahotel I would expect higher finished and quality. The room itself was good. Good bed, nice view (I had in the direction of the city senter). The service was ok/good

Good hotel with mice view from balcony. The price is good, the hotel is old. The parking space was easy to find and the hotel is a quick walk to the center / attractions. Access to the spa is included in the rooms and the breakfast is quite good. The customer service was excellent. The breakfast was basic but I you could ask and get more options from the kitchen by asking.

Don’t expect any luxury if you stay at this hotel; the arquitecture, furniture and food are quite simple. Service is a bit skimpy sometimes, too. But generally speaking everything works well, even with the hotel is 100% full, and the location is extraordinary, with beautiful walks in the surrounding islands. The price was quite high, because we stayed during the opera season, when all hotels around...

The staff were super friendly. They even let us check in hours ahead our of time. We got the room with the lake view. It was reslly beautiful. The free breakfast was super delicious. Not to mention that our dog got the best treatment ever. Free treats, also with bed and food bowl for hotel use. Definitely recommend this place when going to savonlinna

Absolutely the best hotel to stay at when traveling in Savonlinna. Had a very nice stay in a room with a bath and a sauna! Breakfast slightly boring bothe otherwise than that a superb stay

Love the deals. I also love to Savonlinna (Save-online) whenever I can. Its so easy you can do it from your phone.

”Apartments” on the Tott side. Nice, clean, all good. Breakfast not quite so. As a detail: Wondering how is that so called scrambled eggs tasteless stuff made? How to make the taste of egg disappear?

We stayed at Seurahuone in March 2023 with the whole family. We felt super welcome. Hotel lobby is beautifully refurbished our room was sensational (also newly renovated). All team members we have met were super friendly. Can only recommend this hotel to any visitor of Savonlinna.

Definitely a well spent Easter this year in Seurahuone Savonlinna! We were able to get a room with a balcony with a very beautiful view. The location is a walking distance to restaurants, shops and historical monuments you wish to check during your stay. The hotel has accomodating ambience and the staff are friendly.

Nicely located, small hotel with friendly staff and great breakfast. It's got all a traveler needs.

Very basic. The room was a bit messy when we arrived. The aircon doesn't seem to have an off-switch, only a temperature knob. Other than that, nothing to complain about. Very basic, you get what you pay for. I can recommend this.

Rooms quite small and malodorous, then we asked (we were 3 couples) for double rooms but the beds were divided...the door of the room was a little bit broken (there was an hairline crack so it wasn't well closed). Breakfast in the norm.

Clean and cozy. Easy to find. Bar on the ground floor. It would be perfect if there is a water-cooker.

Very nice bed and breakfast. Location just outside of Savonlinna is easy to find. Property is beautiful, and there's enough chances for activities from private beach and tennis to cycling. Breakfast was plentiful and had pastries made at the spot. Room was clean and cool despite weather being hot while the time of visit. Would heartily recommend to anyone.

Very nice farm B&B located about 12km from Savonlinna. It's easy to reach there by car and there are plenty of road signs pointing to the correct path. The rooms were very clean and there was also a possibility to keep our things in the common use kitchen fridge. There were also plenty of games and activities available for both kids and adults.

Perfect place to stay. Adorable and helpful hosts, lots of outdoor activities, great sauna and really striking barbeque facilities (an old Finnish kitchen and a cozy place near the lake), very tasty homemade food for breakfast and dinner. Recommended!

Wonderful, family run b&b. Clean, comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast with lots of home baked goodies (a shame we missed the lettubaari!). The yards and nearby facilities (swimming beach and sauna) make it fun for the whole family. Also, very convenient location if driving to/from Linnansaari National Park.

Friendly family who runs this Lomamokkila. Most of the breakfast is own and fresh made. I only say: Delicious! Also possibility to swim and to lean a rowing-boat for free. We can only recommend this place.

A boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Very nice atmosphere. Just next to the beach with really nice terrace.

Good offer for it’s price. Old historical buildings brings romantic atmosphere. Also it’s located on the first line next to lake beach, and 3 minutes walk to the castle. The only disadvantages were spider webs and cockroaches in the room. Also quite a poor choice in the hotel’s restaurant. Anyway, a good variant for 3 stars.

Had a great stay at this property. The hotel has a rich history. The staff is helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is really good. There is hotel parking as well as free street parking in front. Rooms are cozy in general, but I found the bathroom a bit compact. It is very close to all major attractions. Definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again.

One of those places. Historical building and the theme is kept alive but without much TLC for it. The rooms are ok ... expect a 3 star standard. Obviously, we came in the low season and the hotel adjusts to the whole city, which goes straight from the 3 months of summertime into full hibernation. Except for sandwiches - toasted or not - don't expect much unless you have ordered in advance. And don...

Hospitz Hotel is one of the best we visited. Caring hospitality, very comfortable room and the location is fantastic. The hotel has over 100 year history, it feels like a museum. The breakfast with waffles was very tasty! Thanks Hospitz for hosting us!

We stayed 1 night in this city and I was a bit scared for the price of approx. 100€ if this will be a good hotel. Let me tell you my experience it might help you. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean. Everything about this room was just okay and clean. The hairdryer was working, the tv was working, the fridge worked. Good service, has a breakfast buffet & public sauna. Room was spacious with beds for 2, an additional torture device is available should one need it, called a sofa bed.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and ok breakfast. No air-conditioning in the rooms, just a table fan. Just to let you know if you go during the sweaty days like we did.

Clean and good sized room, big bathroom. Calm and silent atmosphere near Olavinlinna(walk 10 minites) and tori(walk 5 minutes). Excellent breakfast with lovely cheeses(cause Opera).

we got a very special room with a loft bed and a small stove with an oven which we used for the evening meal. The breakfast was plentiful with a very good croissant in a nearby restaurant.

Location, location, location. This place has it! The hotel building is an old hospital and is situated next to a restaurant called Huvila. It is situated also a walk distance from the town center and from Olavinlinna castle.small cozy rooms with high ceiling and an extra bed "upstairs". Showers and small kitchen included but no AC.

Very nice summer hotel, originally an old hospital. No air conditioning, but thick walls helped. Good location, short scenic walk to Savonlinna market square, and to Olavinlinna.

Charming hotel in a former hospital (in the 1800's) turned i to student's apartments. Hotel only in the summer.

If you need just a place to sleep for a night or two it's ok. It's in a residential area, has a front garden like area where the kids can jump on the teampoline. There's a beach nearby which is great.

Simple family apart hotel. Our apartment looked not fresh but all equipment were in place and worked well. Lown was nice, we spent some time playing football and throwing freesbe. Neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We took a walk to the lake shore and enjoyed country live.

Russian-speaking hospitable hosts. Cheaper to book directly. Bed linen and towels for a fee - 5 euro set. The house has 4 bedrooms, each with 2-3 beds. Internet 5G is brought by the hostess upon check-in. You can walk to the lake in 5-7 minutes. Very quiet and peaceful place.

Clean, comfortable. For breakfast, there was an omelette, but there were only boiled eggs. In general, you can eat normally without frills.

Asunto oli kaunis, tilava ja jokaiselle majoittujalle oli omaa rauhaa tarjolla. Kaksi vessaa helpotti huomattavasti. Arvostin myös kaunista sisustusta, kauniita esineitä ja astioita. Perhe viihtyi myös oikein hyvin. Sijainti oli loistava. Majoittaja oli avulias ja ystävällinen.

We spent one night here, my girlfriend and I. Accommodation is apartment-style: our apartment had a central large kitchen with dining table, shared bathrooms and shower, and 4 bedrooms. We actually had the whole apartment to ourselves as the other bedrooms were empty. The room and facilities are simple, but clean and pleasantly furnished. There is a large front yard with all sorts of sports equipment...
