Hotel «Kruunupuisto»

The setting was beautiful. From my balcony I looked over lawns and the lake. The grounds are large and have lake access, a pond, a sensory garden and a great little cafe serving waffles. They lead onto a trail which takes you to the lovely art centre and forest museum at Lusto. The layout of the interior shows clearly it was a former hospital, but it's given charm by the old photos, tiny lounges, art deco staircases and nooks and crannies. My room was furnished with quality period furniture.

A hotel for a stay in an iconic party of Finland. The place is also used for rehabilitation services too, however the staff seem to be exhausted when I visited there. The usual low service quality that makes Finns independent was worsened by a lack of managerial expertise of room booking, provision for food and accessibility. For example, the hotel had invested in putting maps of the hotel around the buildings. In a complex structure, the maps are needed for new visitors. How've, nobody is told about them, and they can be hard to find. This made the initial experience poor, and is difficult to relax after that.
It is generally clean, except the smoking chamber is in the middle of the bright bridge. Quite disappointed that a more thought out place could have and should have been designed. Equipment was poorly available in the rooms, given the price for the rooms, and I cannot imagine what it'll be like to be there for a week long camp, especially for rehabilitation.
The gym equipment is basic and could be improved. The pool is nice though.
