Hotel Cezanne Boutique-Hotel

Overall, our stay here was disappointing. What really stung was the bitter taste left in our mouths after we realized that on three separate occasions with three staff members handling various issues, we were not notified at any point that we had been given a worse room than what we booked, for our entire stay. I think there is a standard of ethics that is required of an establishment, and this hotel failed to meet it.

We had booked and paid for a Junior Suite, and instead the whole time we were given a Deluxe room (a downgrade), without any notice. Only after consecutive nights of a dripping, leaking AC and intermittent loud buzzing that made sleep impossible, were we finally offered an upgrade...which was the room we had booked all along. It happened to be vacant, and we were never told about it. I managed to snap two photos of both rooms during our move.

Our new room also happened to have a loud buzz and a leaking AC unit that dripped onto the musty carpet. Staff was aware but basically told us to deal.

Fair enough I guess, after all we had already paid and they even refused to refund us so we could gracefully bow out of the living conditions with a mutual understanding. And here we are.

Of course, there are pros to mention. The breakfast is quite solid and selection is good. The location is a walking distance from the city center. Staff tried their best to help, but I think management is the root issue here, limiting their effectiveness to resolve issues outside of their control.

We will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
