Rooms refurbished (nice), breakfast medium quality, slow internet
Good breakfast option (15 euro buffet). Nice rooms. Brush and shaving kit is not available for free. Basic needs.
Rooms are nicely renovated, but the common areas still need some attention. Only real issue is that it's not in the town centre - not great if you don't have a car. It's a 20 minute walk or 7eur taxi into town.
Everything is good but just a little bit far away from the center.

The outdoor part of the property is still very beautiful and peaceful, having not visited for many years. The rooms are clean and nice but could definitely use at least some nice art. They are very simple. The smaller room (51) stayed in for the first 4 nights was not luxury. The larger room (30) was roomy and modern but, very simple. Sophie at the main pool is incredibly helpful, kind and professional...
Beautiful hotel with magnificent gardens, multiple pools and a fantastic restaurant. Only downside is it’s under construction right now so it’s not at its full potential currently. We were informed by 2025 it would be done. Regardless, I’d happily stay there again.
This is the most beautiful hotel, with gardens reminiscent of La Mamounia in Marrakesh, but more beautiful, I think. We stayed in one of the villas, and it was just perfect, from the large salt water pool that we had virtually to ourselves, to the super comfortable and huge beds, brilliant showers, and private terraces to have a drink on in the evening. The staff were all lovely - those at lunch...
The best things about this hotel is the beautiful gardens and the helpful staff. The hotel is under renovation, so there was quite a bit of construction and unfinished areas. It is obvious though that when complete the hotel will be stunning. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The staff were very accommodating when we asked to move rooms due to the noise from construction. The only downside for...
We stayed at Hotel Le Pigonnet April 5th-12th, 2024. It was an amazing experience. The staff was unbelievable, Margo, Oliver, Mekki, Eve, and many more whose names escape me. My wife, four month old baby, and I loved chatting with everyone. They were so good to our baby and accommodating with a crib and little toys. The hotel was under construction while we stayed, so we stayed in a villa garden...
The next time I return to Aix this is where I’ll stay again. The rooms are big and well appointed. The staff is friendly and you can charge your electric car on property. Plus it’s in a quiet area that’s still close enough to the city center. The restaurant and grounds are also beautiful

While exploring Provence stayed for 2 nights. Friendly guy at the front desk, offered a piece of local candy. Close to the center. Parking was a plus. Room was small and weary, great shower flow. Haven’t used the pool or restaurant. Merci
Pros: We were upgraded from a classic room which was nice of reception (room 327). Room quiet as faces pool but there is some noise from adjoining rooms. Location on main road so easy car access. Breakfast offerings good except no toaster which is pretty standard in Western hotels. Had some lovely cakes and good range of fruits. Location right near old town so can walk to all restaurants, shops, cafes...
The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the hotel was situated in a good position. We would have preferred a walk in shower but overall the room was small and functional. The pool area was lovely but getting in and out was made difficult with only handrail steps. Breakfasts were plentiful but coffee not up to standard. The restaurant for dinner was exceptional
The room was spacious, beds comfortable with dark out curtains. Nice bathtub and separate water closet. Our coffee machine was hinky tho Great, delicious room service. Recommend the wonderful appetizer that has goat cheese. Arugula, heirloom tomatoes, avocados and black olives So yum!!.
Very conveniently located with excellent breakfast buffet. Clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I’m the area. One minor complaint is the bedside electrical outlet is below the night stand top so you have to plug in and out. No USB access. Bring your own converters.
Wonderful hotel with pool in the amazing city of Aix-en-Provence. Our stay was perfect in every way. Friendly reception, very nice room with pool view, comfortable beds and a rich and very healthy breakfast buffet. We love to come back.

Beautiful property (interior and exterior), super helpful staff, would love to go back.
Beautiful property with excellent well appointed rooms in a lovely setting outside of Aix en Provence. The staff is quite helpful, and the concierge staff is there to help you with every possible need. The food served in the hotel is quite nice and very good quality. We had a junior suite which allowed us to close the bedroom from the sitting area and the bathroom is quite large and beautiful. Highly...
A quiet and secluded hotel resort which is off the beaten track. Check-in was simple and quick - no hassle. But unfortunately the AC in the villa kept resetting and/or kept shutting down. The technician seems unable to fix it. The buffet spread is not bad and we had a good fill! French ingredients and good food. An expensive place to stay but at least we did it once in Marseille
Very nice hotel, but avoid the restaurant

Message to travelers : in France, a 3 stars hotel is definitely not 3 stars. Actually downgrade 1 to 2 stars from the official number. So this appart'hotel is definitely not a 3 stars but a good 1 star or a poor 2 stars. Many parts of the building need to be fixed. Can't say clean but can't say disgusting either. 3 stars to this review : - 1 star for the location (very good) - 1 star for a nice team...
Lights in the corridor are automatic and don't work too well. The location is alright, the breakfast too. Nice room with kitchenette.
Very nice rooms equipped with anything you much need for a short stay. A little concerned because I have been smelling gas in my room tonight; we called the desk and they said there was nothing to worry about... Praying I don't pass out in my sleep.
Very nice experience.... staff was very polite and helping.... loved the stay...

We tried the spa and it was splendid! Luxurious facility hotel, elegant and century old at the same time, with nice sauna, jacuzzi, Cryon room, top quality projects. Our massage therapist was very professional, knowledgeable and performed beyond expectations. Many choices from warm oils to fragrances enhancing the experience. We were allowed to use the beautiful pool surrounded by the spectacular landscaping...
We tried the restaurant but did not stay on the hotel. First of all, the setting is splendid . You are sitting outdoor, shadowed by a couple of century old trees, facing the pool and listening to the rhythm of the fountain nearby. Menu for lunch is short but delicious. We took the foie gras and stuffed zucchini, followed by the veal. Portions are the right size and exquisite. Service is very attentive...
The hotel was totally fantastic; it is more like a luxury home than a hotel. Every aspect of the hotel - rooms, restaurant, public areas, gardens, pool - were fabulously maintained. The staff were all very friendly and dealt with any issues very well. I loved the hotel and it's location was superb; just a ten minute walk to the centre of town. A wonderful and fantastic holiday
A dream. I stayed here with my fiance and we were truly treated like a king and a queen. Kind staff, magical place and in just 15 min by walk you arrive in the center of aix. Beautiful vacation.

Beautiful villa in the Provence countryside. Impeccable detail, service and staff. Maximum relaxation with amazing amenities and stunning gardens. Thank you!
Most beautiful setting I’ve ever been to. Classy and elegant chateau with modern art twist inside and out. Art was spectacular. It was my birthday, beautiful flowers were waiting in the room and absolutely amazing cake with champagne. We stayed in deluxe room with gorgeous views which is worth an upgrade. We went to have a wine tasting and it was so great! Elliot was very friendly and explained everything in detail while making the experience fun. We would recommend to everyone! The grounds are exceptionally beautiful.
The hotel is one of a kind, charming well designed extremely decorated with lots of beautiful works of art… Room is lovely but small bathroom is big and extremely beautiful. The problem was that we couldn’t sleep because of the noise, 05:30 the noise of people walking above us ,annoying The best experience we had was the wine tasting, with Andrea Dias, he has a lot of knowledge about wine, he is very...
This is a fantastic hotel. I did a lot of research into Provence-area hotels and, when we drove up the driveway and then took a quick tour of this property, we know that we had found a special place. Aix en Provence is a 10 minute drive from the hotel but the two places feel worlds apart. This is the kind of property where we were eager to return to after a day of exploring the region. The grounds...

Really nice and quiet location with larger rooms and plenty of amenities. A bit of a snafu at check-in when the receptionist said ‘if I am giving you your keys, your bags are already in your room.’ They were not and they refused to hand them to us when we went back to the desk to collect; ‘we will bring them to you.’ A weird hill to make a stand from- just give us our bags please. They arrived a few...
A fantastic stay at a great property in the “new” part of town. Clean, spacious rooms, and a terrific pool area. A bit of a walk to the old town so not ideal for those with mobility issues.
Very unimpressive capability when managing guests. I requested an extra bed then extra bedding. First I was offered an extra rollaway bed for a fee and was asked to see if I wanted one after seeing the room. When I returned and asked for one I was told they were out of beds due to high demand and occupancy. I then asked for extra bedding. I was told it would be sent up and when after an hour...

This place was simply stunning. Amazing pool, beautiful room. The staff upgraded us as it was my birthday. The terrace in the apartment was out of this world. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful city and local area. 5/5
Villa Saint Ange was one of the better hotels we stayed at on our Honeymoon trip this summer. In most ways, it was a perfect hotel, but it missed the mark in a couple small ways. The good: I believe this is the most beautiful hotel we've stayed at in France (and we've stayed at quite a few). The attention to detail in the rooms was unparalleled. You truly feel as though you're staying in an old, regal...
One of the best restaurant in town. In just a couple of years Villa Saint Ange has positioned itself at the top of the best places to eat in Aix. It is a beautifully renovated bastide located 5 min away (walking) from the historic center. Both the inside and the outside provide a great experience. The Gagnaire supervised “cuisine” is at par with a starred restaurant : leveraging local specialties and...

A truly memorable experience! The setting and ambience of the room had a truly royal atmosphere, and apparently is, in fact, a former residence of a King's wife from 3-400 years ago. Gold Leaf and plaster abound. The food is exquisite and inventive as well as fabulous. Each dish was potent in flavor and well-executed and thought out with sublime intention. We did the 3 course, but i feel as if we...
I'm really struggling the understand why this only has 1 Michelin star... For me, it was right on par with certain of my favorite 3 star restaurants. It is quite amazing how they are able to bring such flavor to each dish, each bite. The combinations of ingredients / flavors are so unique and surprising and work so, so well. What a treat! Such an incredible experience, so much more than just a meal
An outstanding culinary experience. The chef has a flair for the extraordinary and the setting is absolutely beautiful. Even in the middle of a heat wave the outdoor setting was relatively comfortable for the evening. We only ate the three course meal and were completely overwhelmed by each presentation. I am rating at three stars only because as we were leaving and asked for a taxi it became evident...
Pierre Reboul lives up to the expectations. 6 course menu was excellent, so were the wine pairings, and the service.
Only regret is that we didn't stay longer! After a terrible 2 night stay at a 5 star hotel in Cannes, we arrived here exhausted, the final night of our long weekend, and with a low bar for quality service at a hotel. On arrival, our expectations turned for the better. First, they helped us along with our poor French skills and didn't balk at us when we at least tried our best, and were more than kind...

The location of the hotel was perfect very close to restaurants and the market. The choice for restaurants was endless. Erwan at the hotel was amazing and saved the day for retrieving my passport. I can not say enough about how much he made our stay perfect.
Chosen to celebrate the 91st birthday of my mother, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. From the wonderful reception service to the SPA services to the delicious restaurant, I can only recommend it . We hardly had enough hours in the day to use all the beautiful facilities and wished the pool would stay open (even without supervision) until 20pm... Highly recommended.
It's a beautiful looking hotel in the northern part of town. It's surrounded by nice alleyways that are filled with cute shops - a treat for Americans. Rooms: Room was nice and had a very boutique-feeling, and I had a patio that overlooks the orange-roofed buildings, and the mountains far away. The bathroom could use a bit better cleaning / maintenance, as I saw some poor caulking and the shower water...

Well situated, good facilities, friendly and helpful staff,
Perfectly adequate hotel, decent enough rooms but nothing special.
Good in general, rooms are a bit badly designed for offering a compact kitchen, great location. The only issue I would say is that we needed a cab to the station and the person at the reception kept trying to explain that it was too close, we already knew that, but we wanted anyways since it was in a hill, he kept insisting on explaining what we already knew! We got an uber instead.
