Have you ever stayed in a hotel where everything *seems* like it should be perfect, but isn’t quite? This is one of those.

The reception staff are welcoming, the hotel is modern and clean, and the bed is comfy. However some very simple things let the hotel down:

1. I had lunch in their restaurant where the staff were mostly very junior and overwhelmed. They seemed to spend their time arguing amongst themselves, and then started to hoover around my feet as I was still eating.

2. In the lobby, there is a nice bar, but which is rarely staffed.

3. On the first night, a key to my room was given to another guest, who entered the room at around 11pm. The guest services staff were apologetic and offered me a free breakfast as compensation. Sadly on arriving at breakfast the next morning, nobody was aware and so I was told breakfast wasn’t available (after some discussion, I was allowed in).

With some small improvements and staff training this could be a great hotel.

Too expensive, and especially the breakfast is clearly overpriced. Very warm room (air con not enabled below 23 degrees Celsius). Good WiFi, clean room and very friendly staff.
