I found this a luxury stay in a quiet and convenient location. Valet parking was a nice touch! The property is beautiful with a retreat-like outdoor pool area complete with loungers, bar, and cabanas. Cafes, stores, and restaurants are all in walking distance.

They charged us for an upgrade (family room) even though that was the room we had already paid for with our points.
Mistakes happen but they would not reverse the extra charge at the front desk. Will be filing a complaint with Mariott and a chargeback.

Really nice and quiet location with larger rooms and plenty of amenities. A bit of a snafu at check-in when the receptionist said ‘if I am giving you your keys, your bags are already in your room.’ They were not and they refused to hand them to us when we went back to the desk to collect; ‘we will bring them to you.’ A weird hill to make a stand from- just give us our bags please. They arrived a few minutes after.

A fantastic stay at a great property in the “new” part of town. Clean, spacious rooms, and a terrific pool area. A bit of a walk to the old town so not ideal for those with mobility issues.

Very unimpressive capability when managing guests. I requested an extra bed then extra bedding.
First I was offered an extra rollaway bed for a fee and was asked to see if I wanted one after seeing the room. When I returned and asked for one I was told they were out of beds due to high demand and occupancy. I then asked for extra bedding. I was told it would be sent up and when after an hour and a half, we went back to Reception because no one was answering the phone, we were told that the staff in housekeeping had left and they could not offer us anything.
Unacceptable for a five star hotel. And I happen to be a platinum elite member!

Lovely experience, the staff was remarkable! The rooms were quite spacious and immaculately clean.

• Last month I stayed at this 5 star Marriott hotel for 8 nights as a platinum elite member. Got upgraded to higher floor with panoramic view and balcony. We had a wonderful, memoriable time.
1. Staff were all very helpful, friendly, polite, always had a smiling face. They knew my name.
2. Great location: about 10 min walk to bus terminal, to city center.
3. Best concierge services: the manager, Sophie with her team (Saif, Melvin etc) planned our daily itinerary; provided maps , bus schedules; recommended and booked the tours for us; booked train tickets etc.
4. Excellent Front desk services: the manager, Pierre answered my questions with patience and fulfilled my requests as soon as they could.
5. Service at the restaurant were excellent too. The breakfast buffet was very yummy.
6. Our room was spacious, bright and clean.
7. Beautiful paintings thru out the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel. Will go back again for sure.

The location and the hotel amenities and the room size were excellent. But:
1. On my last night, I discovered the mattress cover had a blood stain that seemed pretty fresh, which means the cover was not washed from the previous guest-disgusting!
2. I told them I needed a blanket because I was too warm with the duvet, and they brought a dirty brown polyester blanket with hair on that they laid on the bed without a duvet cover- disgusting!
3. The king size duvet that was not used was left in plain sight on the arm chair during my entire stay.
4. Housekeeping was not done before very late in the afternoon, like 3:30-4pm in my case. Which meant no naps.

Lost VALUE.
Price was 2x the normal rate because of the world cup which Im fine but it doesn’t feel valuable anymore.
Breakfast blackout date so If I wanted to get breakfast that would be an additional 26pp pn.
They should have offered something considering price per night was 400 euros.
As a Bonvoy gold member I was not able to get an upgrade which I can understand but I’m not feeling valuable nor the hotel felt that way. Very sad.
Also, parking was restricted! So even less of what you can normally get for half the price.
Ideally, they should also try to have power outletd on both sides of the bed.

I booked this hotel paying extra only cause it’s a MARRIOTT BRAND! I could have book any other cheaper hotel which is closer to the square.
We got the bed with hair on it, the water box was open. After calling front desk, the guy switch our room but the new room was smaller than the first one and also had horrible mattress.
I will suggest try and look for different option in the same amount.
