We stayed here three nights. Absolutely wonderful. Close to the city center with a nice view of the castle from our rooms.

Nicely decorated, quiet, spacious room with large comfortable bed and bonus of a small balcony overlooking the gardens. Well equipped bathroom with complementary toiletries.

Great rooms, great breakfast options, close proximity to nearby Ambroise, and a pool. What more could you ask?

It's a small European hotel with cramped stairway, cramped shower, no lift and the locks are old fashion keys that s difficult to lock or open. It's clean, there is AC and internet so definitely worth a try for budget minded. Ask for a lower floor if you have heavy luggage, the stairs are narrow and steep. It was fine place for a budget hotel.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for visiting Amboise. The price is fair for the accomodation on offer which was very clean and tidy. Great views from the room also.

Stayed 5 nights at the Novatel hotel on a coach tour visiting attractions in the area our party had our own area for all our meals this was separate from the hotels main restaurant that would have given our tour operator a good deal helping keep the cost of the tour down. Hotel is out of town, up on a hill overlooking the town but you would need a car. Safe didn't work. Had to wait a long time for restaurant service and the meal was not the best. Breakfast served up rock hard potatoes left over from dinner and the rest was cold. Again service bad as was breakfast. Nice pool if you had time to use it.

Hotel was selected by Trafalgar as part of a northern France tour. Room satisfactory and was able to sleep well. There is not enough lifts so had to go down with stairs or wait a while but used lift to go up. Very nice hotel at the top of a rolling hill looking down onto the Amboise chateau, out of town a bit in the middle of a corn field. You would need vehicle. This was a very nice modern, roomy hotel with an elevator. We even got a welcome drink on arrival. Pool, playground and tennis courts. Beds were comfy and the breakfast very nice the next morning. Lovely place. Would recommend.

We stayed here while in Amboise, very nice hotel with a great pool. It's about a fifteen minute walk to town but it's uphill on the way back. Our room was good and the staff was friendly. We stayed by the pool with drinks one afternoon...very nice!

Room looked fantastic and really new as we understand they've recently refurbished. The hotel is near the town center where Chateau d'Amboise is - about a 3-5 mins walk. Reception was really friendly. We managed to borrow an umbrella for the walk to the town center since it was raining.

My 3-night stay at the Manoir des Minimes was wonderful! The staff were all very kind and helpful, and attention was paid to every detail. My room was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Le Manoir Les Minimes! The hotel and grounds are simply beautiful, parking made it very easy, and the town is within walking distance. We loved this gorgeous property, and especially appreciated the pool in the afternoons. The family room in the chateau was perfect for 2 adults and 2 tweens, who felt like princesses in their own little room. But. My husband hit his head multiple times in the little door to the kids room!

We stayed at Chateau De Pray the first 4 nights of our trip to France. The staff were very welcoming, the room comfortable, and the atmosphere what we had hoped for to start our trip. Breakfasts were ample and very good and the restaurant was excellent.

Neat historical property on the banks of the river, super close to the old town, a few minutes walk. It has all the charm of a former chateau. No elevators. Great views of the Amboise castle at night nearby and also of the main bridge over the river. Spacious rooms. Huge beds. Staff is great.

The rooms are quite old but fitting for the place. However the shower could have worked better and it would have been nice to stand while showering. Service was good and very attentive. The location is great.

Wonderful Weekend in Amboise - a charming Hotel situated alongside the Loire River and just below the Chateau Royal d’Amboise. A short walk to restaurants and bars in village center. Friendly hotel staff and nice breakfast on the outdoor terrace. Convenient parking on-site and a short drive to several chateaus in the area.

If you like staying at your grandmother's house, this is the place for you. The decor is old - wallpaper, paintings, tables, chairs, lamps. It feels like you're staying in a place in need of some renovations. Nice pool, good location, the breakfast is okay but not amazing. Make sure you get a room in the main building not the old guest house building - the latter is even more of the above.

As with many places in the area very quaint but a bit of a stand out. 2 old manors joined together, and renovated I to a hotel. Friendly staff, great restaurant and nice upper end rooms. My only issue. Would be the rooms on the top floor have a sloping and low ceilings, so not great if your remotely tall.

Stayed for five days in May 2017 in the top floor room overlooking the Chateau as can be seen in the photo. Room is small and you need to duck the roof timbers but what a great view. The bathroom is newly updated and nice.

This is a great old Manor with large rooms, luxurious bathrooms. And a very helpful and gracious Madam. The grounds make a great place to picnic. Finally all the sites in Amboise are with in walking distance.

WOW! I'm not sure where to start. The amazing staff, the phenomenal ambiance, the utter elegance. This is one of those "must stop here" excursions. The comfort of the bed and the exquisite bathroom was the icing on the cake. Of course, the divine breakfast is pure French and, well, there is just no comparison with anywhere else in the world. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Charming hotel within walking distance of everything you need to see in Amboise. Very kind and helpful staff. Our room didn’t have a shower, but did have a bath with a shower head - you just can’t use it and stand up. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a little big / firm.

Lovely suite in the Center of Amboise. We do recommend this hotel which has spacious and beautiful rooms. Affordable middle class price with beds like clouds.

Ibis Budgets always provide clean basic accommodation for a short stay. Breakfast are great value too.

Although the interior of the room was made from simple materials it was really appealing, colourful and comfortable. Good design! The restaurant made us stay longer than planned (we liked it) and the staff we met was very friendly. Next time again!

A small but beautiful three-star hotel with good value for money, clean and comfortable. The room is relatively large, which is surprising, and the bed is comfortable. The decoration of the small reception hall is very artistic.

The hotel has decent size rooms and is quiet. It is located in a residential neighbourhood about a 15 minute walk to the historical center of town. Only stay here if you have a car. There are only a couple cabs in town and they are hard to get if you need to get to the train station which is about an hour walk away. Trust me... I know!

Great value town centre location. Not enough hanging space for vlothes if staying more than a couple of nights. Fair selection at breakfast, all good quality. Strange that their front dedk/entrance closes at 20.30, but access available at the rear if staying out later.

Enjoyed my stay at Chaptal. It has a great location and there is lots of free parking nearby. I was pleased to see there was a little library and Rick Steves France was available which was great and the support staff where helpful too. The beautiful white dog was very lovely and is one of those things that helps you remember the experience!

Great location. Be ready to pay for road side parking. Amboise is a town from a fair tale and the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci was an unexpected find for us. Very easy access for some road traveling to see Chateau's. We will be coming back this hotel. Great staff.

Stayed two nights as part of a bike tour. Rooms were clean and comfortable, concierge was very friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to Amboise centre to see sights and restaurants. The restaurant was very good, bit higher end cuisine. Presentation, service and quality all above average. Breakfast was very good as well. We have just stayed overnight at La Breche and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a dog and baby with us but nothing was too much trouble. Welcome was warm and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The food in the evening was fabulous and the breakfast had plenty of choice. A perfect stop on our long journey. A huge thank you to the staff who have a wonderful hotel and friendly service. They were far friendlier and more accommodating than the pricier Au Charme Rabelaisien. Basic room, nothing fancy, but outstanding location, clean, comfortable.

Comfortable, close enough to town, air conditioning and loads of unusual choices for breakfast (extra charge). Perfect for a stop off or weekend visit. We wondered what the rooms would look like after seeing the lime green and brown colour scheme in the hall but luckily the rooms were really nicely done!

The room was clean and the staff friendly. It is a small hotel, I saw 7 rooms. The restaurant is attached and was popular. The walk to town is about 30 minutes. Half the walk is along the street with no sidewalk. At night after 11 during the entire walk cars only passed by 3 times.
