Stayed 5 nights at the Novatel hotel on a coach tour visiting attractions in the area our party had our own area for all our meals this was separate from the hotels main restaurant that would have given our tour operator a good deal helping keep the cost of the tour down. Hotel is out of town, up on a hill overlooking the town but you would need a car. Safe didn't work. Had to wait a long time for restaurant service and the meal was not the best. Breakfast served up rock hard potatoes left over from dinner and the rest was cold. Again service bad as was breakfast. Nice pool if you had time to use it.

Hotel was selected by Trafalgar as part of a northern France tour. Room satisfactory and was able to sleep well. There is not enough lifts so had to go down with stairs or wait a while but used lift to go up. Very nice hotel at the top of a rolling hill looking down onto the Amboise chateau, out of town a bit in the middle of a corn field. You would need vehicle. This was a very nice modern, roomy hotel with an elevator. We even got a welcome drink on arrival. Pool, playground and tennis courts. Beds were comfy and the breakfast very nice the next morning. We stayed here while in Amboise, very nice hotel with a great pool. It's about a fifteen minute walk to town but it's uphill on the way back. Our room was good and the staff was friendly. We stayed by the pool with drinks one afternoon...very nice!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful and attentive. We arrived early by private driver and were greeted with a very warm, welcoming reception. My husband and I stayed here for two nights in October and couldn't have been happier. Our accomodation was a two room spacious suite with beautiful views of the surrounding area including the Castle d'Amboise. Great place to stay! Wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and had one of the suites. Large room with large bathroom and the staff is outstanding! They went out of their way to make us feel at home and help us with anything, like reservations at local restaurants, called drivers for us that were booked by our travel agent. Great hotel to stay for a night to visit the chateaux in the area

I had a 3 night stay at Ibis Amboise with my wife for our honeymoon. The positives were that the location is a 5 min drive from the city center, and there were some shops and an amazing Boulanger around for breakfast. Check in was fast, room was clean, and there was a bathtub. The negatives were that the mattress were very thin, not the most comfortable, room space was pretty small, no mini fridge...

Friendly welcome, comfortable stay, lovely buffet breakfast. Plenty of parking and just a short drive to the centre of Amboise. Very welcoming to our dog too.

Decent place to stay in a primarily commercial area.

Well located and comfortable, with a bath too. No lift might be a problem, though staff friendly and I’m sure would help with the luggage. Short distance to Amboise - recommend Leonardo da Vinci’s final home , the chateau Clos Lucé.

Neat historical property on the banks of the river, super close to the old town, a few minutes walk. It has all the charm of a former chateau. No elevators. Great views of the Amboise castle at night nearby and also of the main bridge over the river. Spacious rooms. Huge beds. Staff is great.

The rooms are quite old but fitting for the place. However the shower could have worked better and it would have been nice to stand while showering. Service was good and very attentive. The location is great.

Wonderful Weekend in Amboise - a charming Hotel situated alongside the Loire River and just below the Chateau Royal d’Amboise. A short walk to restaurants and bars in village center. Friendly hotel staff and nice breakfast on the outdoor terrace. Convenient parking on-site and a short drive to several chateaus in the area.

If you like staying at your grandmother's house, this is the place for you. The decor is old - wallpaper, paintings, tables, chairs, lamps. It feels like you're staying in a place in need of some renovations. Nice pool, good location, the breakfast is okay but not amazing. Make sure you get a room in the main building not the old guest house building - the latter is even more of the above.

We loved this gorgeous property, and especially appreciated the pool in the afternoons. The family room in the chateau was perfect for 2 adults and 2 tweens, who felt like princesses in their own little room. But. My husband hit his head multiple times in the little door to the kids room!

We stayed at Chateau De Pray the first 4 nights of our trip to France. The staff were very welcoming, the room comfortable, and the atmosphere what we had hoped for to start our trip. Breakfasts were ample and very good and the restaurant was excellent.

Unusually place to stay. Lovely gardens and pool. We were in the converted stable. It was hot and the air conditioner could not cool it. Sleeping the first night was miserable. The 2nd day we got a fan from the manager and it was much better, The breakfast area was delightful and the buffet was fine.

Very old room. Booked a superior room. Almost 1,000 more expensive than the day before. Wanted to change but couldn't. Service was good. They even sent two luggages to the room. This is rare in Europe. Dinner was a bit expensive. Ctrip said breakfast was 18 euros. Hotel said 20 euros. Didn't eat. Over 2,500 without breakfast. Not worth staying. Old house is very inconvenient.

It's rare to have your own parking lot, although the entrance is a bit of a sharp turn. The small lawn is nice and the restaurant is said to be one of the better ones in the area. The hotel is only a 10-minute walk from the castle.

Overall it's pretty good~ It's quite European, and you can walk to the nearby town in ten minutes, where you can eat and shop. The air is good and the scenery is nice~ The decoration is not bad, the hotel's breakfast is delicious and the plates are beautiful😋 Suitable for couples to stay~

Location wise, it’s close to the main attractions in town (Amboise) on foot and it’s calm. If you can’t walk well, take a room close to the entrance/parking. Ask for the little cart to move your luggage from the car to your room. Rooms are ok, some spacier than others, #306 for example. We had meals around 2 tables -inside - for 10 people… so you have space in that room. You get a dishwasher, microwave...

Comfortable, fully equipped chalet. Close to all amenities. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful.

Very historic city and lovely place to visit

The family suite at La Manoir St. Thomas was absolutely lovely and had all the amenities we needed (we were traveling with two teenagers). The room was spacious and the staff at the hotel were warm and hospitable. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat and things to do in town. The parking was easy to use and centrally located. Everything about our stay was perfect!

Charming hotel within walking distance of everything you need to see in Amboise. Very kind and helpful staff. Our room didn’t have a shower, but did have a bath with a shower head - you just can’t use it and stand up. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a little big / firm.

Lovely suite in the Center of Amboise. We do recommend this hotel which has spacious and beautiful rooms. Affordable middle class price with beds like clouds.

Nickle and dime you everywhere...12$ to park, 5$ for an additional nespresso(they only give you 2), and the biggest disappointment is they charge you 15$/bottle if you want to drink your own wine in their yard. Where to begin? We loved our stay for it’s charming sunlit residence and for the generosity of their service . Our hosts provided us with an exceptional breakfast each morning and an evening dinner cocktail in their garden , as well as guidance for restaurants . I felt lucky to be staying right here. Ibis Budgets always provide clean basic accommodation for a short stay. Breakfast are great value too.

Hotel Bellevue was ideally located in the town of Amboise. Our room was large, the bathroom was well appointed with robes and plush towels, and the air conditioning in the room was excellent, even in 90° F weather. The desk staff were friendly and took care of all our needs, including providing excellent restaurant recommendations.

The location and staff was amazing. Close to everything within walking distance. Our room had the indoor and outdoor terraces which had a spectacular view ! Can’t beat that view ! You can’t eat in the rooms but this suite does allow for ur breakfast to be delivered as room service so u can enjoy the amazing view of the Loire River as you eat the yummy breakfast.

Very friendly staff, great location! Rooms are small which is fine as it was just me. But the walls are thin. Could hear the man in the room next to me yelling at someone on the telephone. Then my last morning there, he banged his fist on our shared wall a few times and was screaming something in French at me. Incredibly unnerving and very strange to say the least!

3 days in Amboise We had 3 days in Amboise checking out the town and chateaus. Lots of restaurants and they’re open! unlike some other places in France. The town is lovely and the hotel very confortable.

The hotel has decent size rooms and is quiet. It is located in a residential neighbourhood about a 15 minute walk to the historical center of town. Only stay here if you have a car. There are only a couple cabs in town and they are hard to get if you need to get to the train station which is about an hour walk away. Trust me... I know!

We have just stayed overnight at La Breche and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a dog and baby with us but nothing was too much trouble. Welcome was warm and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The food in the evening was fabulous and the breakfast had plenty of choice. A perfect stop on our long journey. A huge thank you to the staff who have a wonderful hotel and friendly service. This is a gem of a find in France and this beautiful little town. First of all it was only 99 euros a gift in and of itself. We stayed on the first floor although the rooms are small the bed was very comfortable there were extra pillows and the air conditioning worked very well. There's a reason this place is a favorite with cyclists. Great location, easy storage. Proprietors spoke English and helped us with routing and even showed up in our room at 11:30 p.m. to help us understand how the sink drained. Be careful though with room cross-beams. We hit our head several times!

Nice place in central location. Rooms are smallish but ok for a few nights. Very clean and you have everything you need. Lots of free parking nearby. Restaurants are within east walking distance as is the castle. We opted not to have breakfast but looked like many guests did.

It's a small European hotel with cramped stairway, cramped shower, no lift and the locks are old fashion keys that s difficult to lock or open. It's clean, there is AC and internet so definitely worth a try for budget minded. Ask for a lower floor if you have heavy luggage, the stairs are narrow and steep. It was fine place for a budget hotel.

This was a beautiful building, and each room had its own character. In addition to the rooms, they provided a washer and dryer, along with a small kitchen area when you could prepare meals and eat. The pool was heated. The manager was friendly.

We only stayed one night; wished we could have stayed a week! This is like a castle; beautifully appointed and the grounds are gorgeous. A truly unique experience. Also the beds were comfortable and the shower worked fine; and our host was perfectly cordial.

We had a wonderful time here! We stayed in the family room which was perfect for our family of four. The elevator made it easy to bring our baggage upstairs.
