Although I was informed that building work was being carried out on the hotel, the description was that it was confined to the new lobby area.
It was a surprise therefore that my wife and I were woken up by workmen on the roof right outside our bedroom window. The hotel was nowhere near to full capacity and we could have been located in a room on the opposite side of the corridor.

A quick stopover in Angers. Super comfy beds, easy safe parking (car with bikes), lovely breakfast, lovely staff. Very relaxing.

comfortable, clean and friendly
This was a 2 night stop over before heading to the SW coast for a longer vacation. Recently refurbished (well almost complete) the hotel was a little further out from the centre than anticipated, a good 50minute walk. But very pleasant stay, helpful and patient staff, the only problem was the lack of restaurant, which was closed due to a lack of a chef. It was not clear if this was just the public holiday when we arrived or for evenings generally. Breakfast was available

Nice, clean hotel. But we were not informed that the hotel would be undergoing renovation when we booked. We received an email less than a week before our stay informing us about this and that the restaurant would be closed. We were staying Sunday where literally everything is shut in France incl restaurants. We specifically chose this hotel because of their restaurant. We could not cancel our reservation without paying full price. The bar did do some food but not suitable for autistic children! Not happy about the lack of service from the Mercure hotel group.

Pleasant 4-day stay
Very enjoyable 4 day stay, lovely room, excellent breakfast. Sadly no food is served Saturday and Sunday evening, it advertises that snacks are available but that really does mean snacks - peanuts, warm-up micro pots etc. and with no other eating places in the area it’s a big let-down. The dinner we had was good, the menu was offered on a tablet and the info kept disappearing which was more than annoying. The hotel was being revamped which we weren’t aware of at the time of booking but it didn’t really affect our stay.

During my stay I had a tooth abcess resulting in a swollen cheek. I was visiting from England and do not speak french and I was very grateful to Timothy on the check in desk, it was Sunday and he was able to find me an emergency appointment with a local dentist. I had a root canal and got a prescription for the antibiotics. This was a brilliant example of a member of staff going the extra mile to help a customer.
Good breakfast, good sized rooms and ample parking.
The only negative was that someone decided it was ok to vape at breakfast, not the hotels fault, but made me leave breakfast early, I recently had eye surgery and find smoke and vapes very irritating on my eye.

Very pleasant Hotel,
Quiet and clean, large and super comfortable room perfect for morning yoga and workout fully equipped and soundproof.
I have the pleasure to be welcomed by the Kindness Jannine who upgraded me with the new renovated room.
Camille at the front desk as well will welcoming you in the morning with the smile.
Breakfast on Sunday was highly Generous, lots of variety of breads, pie’s, fresh fruits, local cheeses, eggs and French charcuteries.

and Thomas the man in charge of our morning happiness was absolutely wonderful.

Really pleasant hotel with attentive, professional and friendly staff. Rooms were good, a little "old" but clean and comfortable. One thing I missed was a fridge in the room. Food good. Location is strange: right next to a shopping mall. Not exactly scenic but extremely convenient! Many thanks to all.

Excellent stay here, staff were welcoming and accommodating the bar and resturant were great the ‘Burger with Camembert’ was soooo tasty! The rooms are nice and cosy the only bit that prevents the 5 stars is the bathrooms feel quite dated and are in need of some renovation.
