If you are in Blois for visiting castles this hotel is for you! Well located in the city center. There is a fitness room, swimming pool, sauna and hammam, what you need to recover after a day visit! Restaurant with very good food! I recommend!

I really wanted to like the Hotel Mercure and my 3 star review is for none other than the rooms. Our first room the heating refused to work. Equally the water would not get hot. Our second room the heating did work but the water was any better. Other notable mentions include the staff, despite having facilities that were uncooperative, they did their best. Bar prices are very high considering...

We booked this hotel to visit the castles of the Loire Valley, and the location is just perfect! Very clean rooms. We hadn't noticed they have a spa zone when we were booking this hotel, so we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the saunas. All in all, we liked our stay a lot. If we go back one day to visit the castles, we'll choose this hotel again.

Very competent staff, clean spaces, charging car stations available, but the quality of fruits at breakfast weren’t as fresh and good as expected.

Have stayed in many Novotels around the world but this one was the most disappointing and not up to the normal standard. The main entrance is drab and dirty leaving an immediate bad impression. Service at reception was good however breakfast service was slow with many plates at the buffet just barren of food and dirty plates left at tables for too long with people waiting to get a table. We had a great overnight stay on our way back to the ferry. Interior of the hotel is funky, clean and the staff are incredibly friendly. The pool was a wonderful addition. The facade of the hotel is a little bit tired which is a shame as it hides a great experience. Great location, comfortable rooms, we were disappointed not to be able to charge our EV using the charging station adjacent to the premises as it was out of order.

All credit goes to the super accessible and knowledgeable staff. A very well organised, quiet breakfast for several large families and energetic children. Generous drinks and services... what's your secret? Even grumpy in the morning we leave serene!

The room is of medium size and the service is good. Although it is not in the city center, it is easily accessible. Starting point of the M 4, starting point for the 991 ferry. It's right by the sea🏝️The downside is that it's not very convenient to eat.

Great location, clean rooms, good breakfast, staff welcoming. Word of advise, Parking is restricted so park in the chateau car park (it is a 2 min walk away ... 9 euros per 24 hours) Blois is a beautiful place to visit. We will certainly return.

I found it great! This is for sure a very good and central place to lodge in Blois. Starting with a very nice reception team, speaking not only French but also other languages. The building is historical and has a wrought-iron elevator. Rooms are small but tidy, comfortable and clean. Parking possibility in a public garage close by. You pay the lowest prices for your stay in this category of hotel

Great location in the centre of town within easy reach of the chateau and local restaurants. The secure public parking nearby is reasonably priced and very handy for a stop over.

Staff was nice and welcoming. Room was always perfectly cleaned. The style of the common areas is well thought through. However the noise isolation between rooms is poor. I could hear the lady in the room next to me snoring at night. I could also hear all conversations perfectly which represents an issue when you’re looking for privacy.

Excellent hotel for an overnight stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of the centre of Blois. There is an underground car park which was just right for us as we were in the middle of a heatwave when we visited so it made sure our car didn't overheat.

Have been in a few similar places from the same brand, however first time that have been in this particular place and it is a really good spot to come to, all the major facilities and other things to be found from here and a really good room and breakfast selection too.

Not been in this hotel yet but have been in other similar branded ones a little while ago, with this one there is a few things that can be seen nearby though also not too far away from the rest of the town either, all the needed stuff here to have a stay for a few nights too.

Another really good hotel brand branch that is near to everything and not too near the rest of the town, yet close enough to walk to most things and useful for a few nights stay. Have been to other similar same brands though this is first time in this location, nice rooms and breakfast and other things too.

Rooms were clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good. Location is great if travelling by car and it is safe with its private parking. Good value. Would recommend hairdryer in room.

Really nice place to stay. We were traveling back to our country and stopped in Blois. location is perfect, near the city. People were super nice. Area is nice especially if you travel with dogs.

Good value for money, a very practical hotel for a night's stay, with free and secure parking just 3 minutes from the highway A10 Paris-Bordeaux, friendly welcome, perfect for my stop on my road trip between Germany and Spain, clean, small room but fine for one, maximum two nights.

A very good stopover or base for a longer look at lovely Blois & its beautiful surroundings. The old town is well worth exploring, but for my money the nearby chateau Chambord is the highlight- I think it is the most stunning of the many chateau in France.

For a family stay the rooms are small but have all the necessities, the offer to have two ajdacent rooms is great. The rooms are clean with good air conditioning (a must after a full day out in 35° heat!). The breakfast may seem a bit expensive but when you see the vareity offered this price is correct (just under 7€ for kids under 12, just under13€ for adultes)

Easy on and off the highway. A sure place of rest. Very kind staff. The rooms are exactly what they need to be; price quality ratio is unbeaten in France. Best baguette for breakfast I have had in my life!

Receptionist is not able to communicate (not even a little bit in English), nor to give the correct money back. To get a towel we had to pay 3€ each. No AC in such a hot day. Window does not close properly. Bed was very good. In relation to the price it's quite satisfying.

you pay what you get, its good just for a night, the bathroom and shower are not in the room, so you have to get out of the room and the space of them are very tight. but you have a tv in your room, and enough space for 3 people. I give 4 stars because of the bathroom and shower

The hotel was perfectly fine. The website says there's a restaurant within walking distance (La Boucherie), but unfortunately, it's closed. It's not mentioned anywhere. So, we went to the Leclerc brasserie a bit further down the road, which was unfortunately closed. It was already 8 p.m., so we had sandwiches and cheese in our room. Not exactly what you want after 500km in the heat... why isn't that...

I didn't realize it when I booked, but it's actually a motel surrounded by 4-star dealerships. It's at least a 50-minute walk from the train station and castle, making it unsuitable for backpackers exploring the Loire Valley. I recommend it to those traveling by car. Thankfully, it was just one night, and there's a large, reasonably priced supermarket and bakery nearby. The receptionist was helpful...

Blois has a unique geographical location, located between Paris and Bordeaux, and is an important town in the Loire Valley. If you want to visit the historic castles scattered in the Loire Valley, this town is a good choice. The First Hotel Blois is a budget hotel with small rooms and complete basic facilities. The room was clean and pleasant. Some staff were helpful but others were not. The breakfast ran out and was not replenished even though we arrived an hour before the end time. The breakfast room was very nice and had a lovely terrace. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room for making tea or coffee.

If you like Tin Tin as much as I do, this restaurant not only makes u marvel at how many collectibles the owner has but the food will blow your taste bud away too. Try their prix fix menu and every items in there are as good as the other. The fish wrapped in a sausage like cocoon showered with white sauce is one of the best dish I've had for awhile.

I think I booked a classic room for 4 ppl but when I checked in, it was a standard room for 2 ppl. Anyway, I was there alone so I didnt make any complain. The room is standard and clean. Breakfast serving time is only to 10 am which I missed it.

I stayed here because I like this city. The facilities are good and it is close to the rose garden.

Room and furniture not in a good state, could not set the water temperature in the shower due to a malfunctioning, there is no private parking. And way too expensive for what it offers. Try to find another hotel for same money.

Location was next to a train station, there was paid over night parking there. The woman at the counter was upstairs when I arrived. The key card didn't work when we tried to get into the room... She gave us the wrong room number. The shower door wouldn't stay closed and there was hardly any hot water for two. We didn't stay long in the morning. The decor was nice though.

Our drivers told me the whole staff is polite and the rooms were clean...

You get exactly what you pay for. A clean bed, clean towels and a clean bathroom. Otherwise it’s small and simple, it’s right in the city center, and if you just want to sleep there and not live there, it’s totally fine.

Great overnight stop to enjoy Blois Overnight stop off with family, secure parking was a bonus as lots of luggage we wanted to leave in car. Friendly helpful staff, free breakfast better than excepted, with freshly baked pastries and bread. Basic but very clean and perfect with easy walk into centre of Blois for evening.

Property was well situated for getting around Blois and surrounding areas. Disappointed on arrival after a long journey we couldn't have an evening meal as we were told we hadn't booked half board. Having said that the menu was rather poor we were directed to a nearby restaurant. Breakfast was ok.

A standard Ibis in the northern outskirts of Blois, convenient for touring by car. But be careful driving into town as the new road "improvements" are chaotic. Very friendly staff, reasonable breakfast and good meals each night. Would use it again.

We regularly stop at this hotel on our way to the Limousin as it is roughly half-way from Normandy and is very comfortable and handy for local shopping before we complete our journey. It is very close to the A10 and not far from the A20.Also it is only a short drive from the historic centre of Blois where there is ample parking. A little bit of fusion , a little bit of amour and a little bit of happines make this place perfect

The hotel is easy to find, and there are short-term parking spaces in front of the door, which you can use during check-in. A parking space in the underground garage can be booked separately. The room is functionally furnished, with comfortable beds. The bathroom and toilet are clean. The breakfast is varied and tasty, served in a cozy room.

We choose this hotel to make a stopover on our trip to Bretange. The location was chosen because ibis on walking distance to Chateau Blois. We arrived late and on our request we were kindly advised a very good restaurant. The next day we visited the Chateau and were on our way to Bretagne before noon. The hotel perfectly suited our purpose!

This hotel was perfect for our needs of travelling through France. The beds were firm and comfy, and the bathroom and bedroom spacious and clean. The hotel staff were also friendly and nice. Breakfast is VERY self service, but totally fine. Beware that Blois has a demanted one-waysystem. Driving through it using an English sat nav courtsey of Google Maps resulted in some shocking errors. We enjoyed our stay in Blois which was made so easy by using this hotel. It was very handy for getting into the town and the parking arrangements were very good; they were in a secure underground car park and relatively cheap compared to parking on the street. Our room was spacious and airy, with a big window to let in cooler air after our hot day spent in the car. The bathroom facilities were good...

A perfect place to stay in Blois Very good hotel for the money.

It's an inexpensive hotel close to the town centre. It's a bit cramped and some of the fittings need refreshing but it is clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful.

We called in for a drink and dinner, they had my favourite beer, Leffe Ruby, on tap. We had burgers, one duck burger with jacket potato and one vegetarian burger with chips. Excellent quality and Monsieur gave excellent service too. Thank you. When in Blois next we shall visit again.

Wonderful overnight stop at this characteristic hotel. Ideal for the centre of Blois to explore around or just walk along the river Loire which is right outside. Lovely evening meal with a variety of local selections.

The Auberge Ligerienne in Blois provides basic but solid accommodation in Blois - and a big bonus is the excellent evening meal which is served in the restaurant. This is a wonderful and quirky place to stay e.g. if you are visiting all the great chateaux on the Loire - the castle of Blois itself is just steps away from the hotel and very worthwhile. And parking is easy and free in front of the hotel
