Stayed here because dogs are allowed (extra 7-9€/day). Rooms are outdated and WiFi sucked. Rooms weren’t totally soundproof, so my dog was a bit on edge from all the sounds. The window seals weren’t great and let a draft in, and the window hardware was broken so I could only open it fully instead of the top crack. Breakfast is extra 10€/day; was a decent selection but like much of Dunkirk, did not have obvious veggie/vegan alternatives.

We arrived after a long trip, there were no seats. But the biggest disappointment was the man sitting at the reception. He did not let a pregnant woman into the toilet

Pros: Location, price, and spacious rooms.
Cons: Internet is essentially none (at least in my room) and rooms are outdated (bit of an old carpet smell).

We had a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and well presented, everything was perfectly functional. The furnishings are ageing, but remain in good order. The hotel and surrounding area were quiet and peaceful and the town was easily accessible on foot, even more so by bike. The front desk was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was ok, with a large, bright and airy dining area. Parking was ok, but hard to find a space at times, I think due to the public using the hotels parking area during the work-day. It was good value, I would recommend and I would stay there again.

The receptionist saved us when we were looking for emergency accomodation in the middle of the night, exhausted from many days of driving. Checked us in, helped carry our bags and calm us down. Our unplanned stay in Dunkerque started as a disaster but ended in a calm night with quick and friendly room service. Thank you!

A couple took a self-driving tour along the WWII route and stopped at the Dunkirk evacuation site. The hotel is in a good location and is within walking distance of various attractions. The WWII 1942 Museum is worth a visit.

The facilities are probably at the domestic B&B level, except for the towels provided for bathing, there is nothing else. The most outrageous thing is the service. From 12 noon to 4 pm, there is no service and the door is locked. Just use the sentence "sorry" to cover up, without any sincerity.

Many comments say this is bad and that is bad, let me say a few points. First, the location is excellent, on the bay. Most people who go to Dunkirk drive, so it is convenient to go anywhere. Second, the parking lot is free, and the key point is, it’s free. This is Europe, quite rare. Third, the price is around 500, which is absolutely affordable. Fourth, it is true that the bed is small, but the double beds can be put together to at least form a king bed. This value for money is worthy of encouragement. But if you are looking for a vacation feel, the Radisson Blu Retreat Beach is a great value for 200 euros a night including 15 euros for parking.

Oh well. It sure was an experience staying here.. We had a lot of fun laughing at the anchor theme they are rocking. You sure can sleep well there, it is quite peaceful. The bathroom was sterile, not very cozy.. The location isn't the best for sightseeing. You can manage, but will probably have to walk a bit. Breakfast was very basic. Otherwise it was nice staff. Enjoy:)
