Hôtel Miléade L'Orangeraie -

Very disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the attitude of the staff was unacceptable, especially at the reception and restaurant. Joana at the front desk stood out in the worst way — no smile, no welcome, and a general feeling that guests are a bother, not a priority.

We arrived with a pram and a baby, and both lifts were out of order. Instead of offering help or even a simple apology, the response was: “You can take the stairs.” No empathy or assistance.

At the restaurant, no one knew how to operate the microwave, and again, no one seemed remotely interested in helping.

The worst part was when I briefly asked to keep an eye on my son for a few seconds at the reception while I was placing some milk in the baggage row, just a few steps away. There was no customers at the time that should be looked after and several staff free. Nothing was said at the time — but later, when I referred the staff situation to the manager (the blond lady) her response was defensive, rude, and inappropriate. Rather than showing empathy or acknowledging the lack of support, she blamed me for having dared ask her staff to “help” even for a few seconds. This kind of reaction is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of basic customer care.

I left feeling extremely uncomfortable. There was zero sense of service, no kindness, and no effort to make guests feel welcome. Definitely not what you expect from a hospitality team, and certainly not a “wow” experience.

Her comment regarding my son showed a total lack of customer care and, frankly, a deep level of disrespect. This kind of reaction is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the management.

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
The room had such a horrible smell that I couldn’t sleep, and it was very dirty. You can hear everything through the walls and door — including people walking through the corridor at night. The in-room safe was broken, there was no minibar, not even a bottle of water provided. In the evening, we asked at the lobby for a bottle of water, and the receptionist refused, saying the hotel had no water at all.
Overall, a terrible experience.
