It was my first time in Menton France and i would like to say it’s very nice and beautiful ambiance,😍😍😍 I hope i can back this summer😍

Very nice hotel with good rooms. Size is average, but comfortable. Staff is very friendly and professional, with a single exception at reception. Breakfast was very average and the management of the restaurant room quite appalling. It s a very large room with three sections, with people all over, table not always cleaned. It would have been better to cordon off some areas and guide the traffic better...

Although nicer from the outside, very much a seaside town hotel from the 1970s. Not in a bad way, but even the evening entertainment ("1980s karaoke") had all the trappings from a seaside holiday 50 years 40 years ago. The rooms were big, functional, but a bit spartan. I would come back, if I will ever be in Menton again---and hopefully the garden will not be under construction anymore.

Building works at the front are an obvious eyesore, and noisy during the day.

The location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the old town. The working hours are from 6 am to 11 am, and from 5 pm to 9 pm. There is an automated system in front where you need to enter your booking number, and the price is calculated per day. The reception staff was really friendly and spoke Portuguese. The room was nice and way more spacious than the budget in Cannes. The bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated. The parking is very crammed. I struggled to park a compact SUV. Taking many many back and forwards to do so. The hotel does warn clients about this. We stayed here for 2 nights. The service was nice and everyone really friendly. However, the room and especially the bathroom could definitely be cleaner. There was even mold in the shower. But for the price overall quite good.

Want the beauty of the French Riviera without fighting with the tourists? Head to Menton Garavan by train and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this beautiful place without paying an arm and leg. The hotel is easy and right next to the sea and a beautiful swimming spot is only 10 minutes easy walk away! Only suggestions is that the hotel add a reminder to guests to not be too loud after 10pm. :)

Brilliant place, not sure why the reviews are mixed. I paid £40 a night for a four night stay, the room was small but for a solo traveller it was perfect, great aircon and a balcony overlooking the port. 20 minute stroll to Menton town but passing some fabtatsic beach bars on the way. Will definitely come back, what a bargain!

Location is a little challenging due to 1 way streets but we drove. Other than that, attentive english speaking staff, great breakfast, a super comfy bed and balcony at a low price. Lots of mopeds which initially worried me but they rooms are very quiet. Secure parking garage available at £5!

We spent one night there at the end of october, and quality-priice was excellent. I don’t know the prices in summer or at the weekend, but for me is a great value. We booked a double room and the recepcionist gave us a double room with balcony for the same price. Pets allowed free of charge. Parking option with an extra price. Great breakfast with variety of products.

Centrally located and walking distance to everything. Markets around every corner. The staff is friendly and helpful and wonderful. The topmost apartment was a total dream. That balcony was my favorite part!

An amazing place to stay while visiting Menton is the Ibis Styles. We used it as a pied-à-terre and from there visited other French Riviera towns. Loved our stay here. The hotel is close to the train station but the hotel is quiet. From the station for those with luggage - cross the plaza and take an elevator down to the street. Take a right and the hotel is just down the street to your left. The staff is lovely, extremely helpful and the rooms are bright and comfortable. The hotel is walkable to everything. It was a great pleasure to find this hotel, the rooms are great, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the family that runs the hotel were always friendly and helpful. Also the location is excellent, close to the train station and numerous places to eat.

Great stay for a short visit if you just want something inexpensive and close to the beach. The beds are comfortable and we only stayed on the second floor so we didn’t have to drive our bags far, there is no left keep in mind. Pleasant hotel in an equally pleasant town. Nicely decorated and friendly staff. No air conditioning though and it was around 35 degrees during the day and mid twenties at night. We mentioned this at reception and they said we should have asked for a fan. It would have been better if they'd offered one though don't you think? Price was OK, around 80 euro for a double room. There is no parking nearby...

Nice hotel. Had a room with a balcony and a direct view on the sea. Breakfast for the price was nice. Bread, fruits, cheese, jam, ham, etc.

The hotel rooms are really nice and we’ve been upgraded for free. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. However when we went up to the rooftop bar we were met with some of the worst and most watery cocktails our tongues have ever touched. We also tried the Mexican tapas platter and to say it in a kind way… the room service wasn’t happy when they had to unclock our toilet due to the reheated...

I come here to the rooftop bar every time I stay in Menton (4 to 5 times a year). Over the last 6 years (2019. To 2025 ) I have always found the service consistently very good.

The room was clean but the insulation of the windows was not optimal for the noise from the street. A wonderful breakfast! And the location is really great

I feel like I should have given this place 2 stars since it's in the title. This hotel is ⭐⭐ so not extremely fancy. Just a clean and pleasant ⭐⭐ hotel. But the people in there were super nice. We are used to a lot of air-conditioning and found our room to be a little hot, but the bathrooms were extremely clean. The man at the desk (I assume is the owner) is absolutely lovely.

Owners are lovely and very helpful but the hotel is tired and in need of an overhaul. That said, reasonably priced for a 2 star hotel with a great location.

A basic 2 star hotel but very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Location is central. Excellent value for money. Definitely recommend. No need to pay more. NB no hairdryer in rooms

Clean room but no air conditioning or fans. Very noisy neighborhood so sleeping with windows and door open to get air very hard. Good location wise to two metro Probably better to stay late fall or winter.

A superb stay with a warm welcome. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived at the end of a long tiring day on bike with our young children. The lady at reception was so helpful over the phone (which decided our choice) and then she proceeded to find a secure lockup for our bikes, going above and beyond anything required to give us peace of mind. I had a wonderful one night stay at Hôtel Richelieu. If you are on a budget and are looking for a simple but charming, french style accommondation this is a great option. Location is good, close to the beach, the old town and the train station. I will definitely come again.

I stayed for five days, all the staff very friendly, they let me keep my bicycle inside by reception at very short notice. I was given advice about what to see when cycling up in the hills. Room was ideal for my needs and the location is great. I will definitely return.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and found it to be a very ood hotel in a great location. Breakfast and dinner were self service and very good. Our room and the sun terrace is south facing and overlooks the beach. Very clean, bright contemporary furniture. We will definately stay there again.

Nice place. Right across from the water. Older building but most are. About 1,6 km/1 mile walk to center along beaches to Menton center. Several staff speak English and Italian and of course French. Breakfast is good with many choices. Rooms nice and nice bathrooms. Air conditioning works great, but also nice with windows open.

Fabulous hotel in the perfect location in Menton. A short walk into town but also if you want to drive into Italy it's just a couple if minutes away. The staff are so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We had full board and that was brilliant. Highly recommend this hotel

Fabulous 10 days at this 'Belle Epoque' hotel. Big rooms and the most amazing, silent air con which was a treat in 30 degree heat of August and ensures a great night sleep. For a budget stay and considering its location, I would recommend this hotel if you will be on the east side of Monaco (near the Italian border). Be advised, there is no elevator, the restrooms are public, and the rooms are a tad small. But, this hotel is in an excellent location considering its rates. Overall, I am satisfied. It is an 11-minute walk from the station and the old town of Menton, where Zhong Chuxi's check-in wall is very popular. It takes less than half an hour to walk there. If you walk along the coastline, it is also comfortable and convenient to take the bus. The overall style of the hotel is very holiday.

The hotel faces the sea, the environment is excellent, the room has a coffee machine and drinks, but the triple room is on the first floor, the visual effect is not as good as upstairs. After visiting Menton, it takes less than half an hour to walk back along the beach, which is quite convenient. The only drawback is that the room is relatively small, three people and two suitcases, it is a bit cramped...

We stayed here at the hotel Napoléon with a sea view room, rooms were spotless & cleaned every day, staff were lovely & helpful, pool was a godsend & as for breakfast it also hit the mark.
