We had a lovely stay for six nights. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Hotel is ideally located for the old town and short walk to Menton Garavan station. The beach is just across the road. We had to leave a day earlier than planned due to a family emergency at home but the receptionist and manager were extremely helpful and understanding and we were not charged for the 7th night...

My husband & I have just returned home from our week long holiday in Menton, researching my family's name on war memorial. We stayed here at the hotel Napoléon with a sea view room, rooms were spotless & cleaned every day, staff were lovely & helpful, pool was a godsend & as for breakfast it also hit the mark. We have just returned from a 6 night stay at the hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We had a garden view room with balcony which was lovely. The location is great for the old town and Menton Garavan station with frequent trains to other resorts. Unfortunately we had to leave a day earlier than planned due to a family medical emergency at home...

Hotel is lovely BUT! Location is wonderful, rooms are comfortable, parking is easy but make sure your room is above floor 1 as our room was opposite the restaurant. Noisy guests both for breakfast and evening meal spoilt it - kept us awake and woke us up.

It was all in all a good experience. Menton is a small but cute town with nice historical areas with beautiful view. Had many dining options nearby the hotel as well. We enjoyed the karaoke night.

Very nice hotel with good rooms. Size is average, but comfortable. Staff is very friendly and professional, with a single exception at reception. Breakfast was very average and the management of the restaurant room quite appalling. It s a very large room with three sections, with people all over, table not always cleaned. Although nicer from the outside, very much a seaside town hotel from the 1970s. Not in a bad way, but even the evening entertainment ("1980s karaoke") had all the trappings from a seaside holiday 50 years 40 years ago. The rooms were big, functional, but a bit spartan. I would come back, if I will ever be in Menton again---and hopefully the garden will not be under construction anymore.

The staff was very helpful and communicated very promptly before and during my stay. The location is great, but the apartment is VERY basic. I have stayed at many of your properties in Cannes, Andorra (4 properties) and in Spain in several such as Altea and Benalmadena so this one was not at the same level of comfort.

The hotel rooms are really nice and we’ve been upgraded for free. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. However when we went up to the rooftop bar we were met with some of the worst and most watery cocktails our tongues have ever touched. We stayed in Menton for three days. We were initially assigned a room on the first floor, right above the entrance. It was awful. Fortunately, we were able to upgrade to a room on the fifth floor with a balcony. The service was excellent, especially Ewelina, who ensured our comfort and created a pleasant atmosphere.

The hotel's location is very good and convenient to everything, but the hotel facilities are old and simple. In addition, the bathroom design is not reasonable and it is easy to get water all over the floor.

Spacious, clean and tidy room, our "partial" sea view balcony was much less partial than we expected! The hotel is on a busy main road but we found the balcony doors to be well sound-proofed once closed. Very new, clean and tidy, very nice, right by the sea. The breakfast is also very good. It doesn't look like much, but it has everything you need. There are two kinds of hot dishes, which basically meet your needs.

We loved this hotel. It was ideally located across from the beach. The private sun lounge was incredible with its beautiful views of the ocean and below.

Good Just an overnight stay due to a missed train. The hotel's big advantage is that it is centrally located and beautifully by the sea. It is also clean and fresh. However, it has been a long time since the hotel was renovated except for the dining room. Therefore it gives a simpler feeling. Anyway, I had a comfortable night's sleep in the pleasantly temperate room. The breakfast was quite ok.

Historic hotel in an excellent location, both for going to the historic center and to the sea, large rooms (we were on the third floor, served by a lift) even a bathroom with two bathrooms. Wonderful experience in this hotel where culture and comfort come together. During our stay there was an art exhibition, which was really lovely. We were there during the lemon festival, the hotel is right next to the gardens where the event takes place. We can't wait to come back for our summer vacation.

We have never experienced such pleasant service. Every person at the desk is super nice. Have no complaints about any noise. Simple beverage and coffee available 24/7. Room layout somewhat odd, with person taking shower being visible from the room (red glass), but that adds some experience... OK breakfast, few good items like small pancakes and fresh orange juice.

We stayed for 4days and it was a great time and experience. The Management and staff are very friendly and attentive to details. They were speaking English very well with a smile to understand your needs. It’s just that it was quite noisy due to nearby roads. Nevertheless it was amazing. Loved our stay here. The hotel is close to the train station but the hotel is quiet. From the station for those with luggage - cross the plaza and take an elevator down to the street. Take a right and the hotel is just down the street to your left. The staff is lovely, extremely helpful and the rooms are bright and comfortable. The hotel is walkable to everything. Convenient location, good service, average facilities

The bathroom in the room is enough for one person, the facilities are a bit simple, and the service is enthusiastic. It is close to the train station, less than 100 meters away, so if you see that the train is on time, you can go back to the hotel to pick up your luggage in time. The train in Menton is unreliable.

Quirky, very comfortable and absolutely the best place to stay in Menton. Not a big hotel, with 23 rooms, but so clean and quiet, only a 5 minute walk to the station, and 10 to the promenade and beach. Fabulous hosts, so nice, kind and helpful. We were very sad to leave. The hotel is very good. The gate and yard need IC cards to open, which is relatively safe. Parking is available on the street in front of the hotel, but you need to pay. You can rest in the yard, which is relatively quiet. The staff also gave us a map of Menton.

Just a 10 minute walk from the train station, this hotel in Menton was perfect for us! Right across the street from the water, we loved walking along the promenade daily. About a 20 minute walk from the ‘busy’ town centre and restaurants, which we enjoyed being close but not too close! Smaller rooms, but we really only slept in them! Good breakfast, staff was lovely!

I have stayed at this property three or four times, as I come to Menton often for work. I find this hotel to be the coziest of the places that I have stayed. The breakfast is really nice and comprehensive and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommend.

Reception was supposed to open at 1600 but no one was there and several of us were waiting around for a little while. Checking was straightforward as I’d done it online. Our room was next to the elevator but we heard nothing. Double bed room was very tight in size, the balcony was bigger! Bathroom was very workable. Very clean. The bed was very comfortable. A fairly typical Ibis room.

Had a fabulous stay here all the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help! The room was fantastic for the price and was cleaned everyday to a high standard. Breakfast choice was exceptional for a budget hotel. Big thank you to Miky for all the advice on the best places to visit around Menton made our holiday even better than we expected! We traveled from Australia and wanted to visit Monaco, but did not want to pay the steep prices, and as a result found this gem!! So glad I did!! The train from Nice airport was easy, then an easy walk from Menton Garavan was no trouble even with luggage. Yes it’s a budget hotel so expectations should be moderate. It’s in a good location. Nice views. Having said that, the hotel has a need for better service minded staff, better cleaning and taking care of the facilities. The breakfast was below average and the garage terrible- extremely tight. A little affordable beautiful hotel in the vicinity of posh Monaco

The single beds were really small, much smaller than other single beds we had in other hotels. We were put in a room with a sea view that was partially blocked by palm trees. The toilets did not flush properly and the AC didnt work. They dont even give you complimentary water bottles. For the price you pay, this was poor quality. We stayed in other hotels in this trip for way cheaper and got much better...

I always stay here on my work trips to Sciences Po. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, close to great food. The owners are very nice and kind. I have always had a great experience here.

Love this place. Friendly owners, great air conditioning, clean rooms. You can park on the street for days for free. Best petit dejeuner that I had in France. Great communucation via e-mail. A gem in Menton right across from the beach and sea. Easy stroll to old town, four walk via the coast to Monaco (you have to do it!)

The location of the hotel was great. A lovely walk along the promenade to restuarants for dinner. Parking was on the street, but easy, could be more difficult in busy times.

We stayed in mid May so the air conditioning was off. This would not have been a problem except that the hotel is in the second floor right next to a busy road. We had to keep the windows open since the temperature was warmer and the sounds of the cars and trucks kept rousing me awake. The room itself was clean and modern and new.

We booked this hotel well in advance of our stay in July 2022 and therefore secured a very reasonable price compared to other hotels. It is a 3 star hotel. Next door is a 4 star as it has a pool. The location of the hotel is just unbeatable, including their own lovely fine-sand swimming beach and bar just across the seaside street. Best part is the free parking outside. The entire street seems to be free, acc to the hotel. We spent one night and enjoyed it. Breakfast is cheap but adequate. The view of the sea view room is obstructed by a tree!!! We nearly asked for a refund. But it was OK for one night.

I liked it modern and clean inside. But I think price should be lower because it’s still just a 3-4 stars hotel.
