Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem

Great little hotel, good internet, good management, good shower and bathroom, well located and very authentic, next to great restaurants, cafe with terrasses, view on the old cathedral. Lovely for anyone who wants to enjoy the historic city centre of Montpellier

is amazing ignore any bad reviews don’t let them off, the staff were amazing super helpful, we had no hot water in the morning but they straight away gave us a reduction in our room rate without us even mentioning it - I would defo recommend - it’s a perfect location as well

Wonderful historic hotel in a 15th century building the Ecusson. Team members were warm and helpful. Some common area and room furnishings are a bit tired. Our room was wonderful with comfortable bedding and a spectacular view over the city.

Very authentic at a great location

The staff is very helpful and pleasant. The room was quite large with a large bathroom and a nice view over the cathedral and the mountains. The breakfast terrace is super and spent a fair amount of time working there (despite the heat as you catch a little breeze) outside of breakfast time - super pleasant in the evening and nobody there. Breakfast in covid times is served as opposed to a help yourself buffet (and hence is more a continental breakfast but plenty including fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc..) The location is fantastic - quiet enough to get some sleep (not the case staying in l'Ecusson) but still plenty of restaurants and 2 minute walk to market, etc.. Overall a great stay for the price (though as some others have noted, the hotel would benefit from a little bit of refurbishing at some point).

This hotel has a lot of charm and a great location.
The staff was very helpful as well.
We paid for breakfast, but it was rather disappointing. Due to covid measures, it's quite poor.
All in all, we had a lovely stay.
