Les Charmettes Mini-hotel

Amazing location, delicious food. The hotel was clean and comfortable, wonderful welcome and friendly staff. The restaurant has unbeatable views as it’s directly on the beach with an uncumbered sunset vantage point. The tuna was *chefs kiss* hence not even having time to capture a photo before devouring it. We highly recommend Les Charmettes for both accommodations and dining. A rare find that does both well. Only 30 minutes walk to the walled city, and it’s a beautiful seaside walk that you won’t forget.

The hotel is a converted beach house from the 1890’s. It’s right on the water and has a restaurant on the terrace at the back of the house. The owner/proprietor is very helpful – and charming.

We took the “3-persons with sea view” room on the 1st floor (2nd floor US). It was fairly large (18 sm) and the view was great. The bathroom, though, was very small (1.5 sm) so not for large people. There was a very adequate heater/air-con.

Watching the Saint-Malo tide come in is a dramatic event. It starts several hundred yards away and a few hours later the waves are breaking against the 10-foot wall behind the house.

Parking was on the property. We had to leave early for the ferry so, sadly, we did not get to experience the breakfast.

I love this hotel. We came back this Summer for a few days a tour of Britain. The manager are extremely nice, the room was small buy functional. Grest view on the beach. Top

Lovely boutique restaurant overlooking promenade and beach.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Room very clean, and beds very comfortable, although slight noise from other rooms.
Restaurant was delicious, although they were a little unsure in coping with GF requests we got there in the end.
Breakfast buffet was nice, with a range of options but quite pricey.

The location is fantastic! My friends and I had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean, had a great view, and was able to accommodate four people in one room (and it not feel too crowded!). The hotel is 30 minute walk from the train station and a 30 minute walk from the walled city. We went during off season but still had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend.

I really liked this hotel. The breakfast was lovely ( a little bit expensive)but the room itself i thought was reasonably priced. The room was lovely decorated and bathroom was big with nice shower. Bed was comfy and room was clean. The location of the hotel is not in centre of st.malo but we had a lovely walk on beach and was on seafront so that was nice. Staff were lovely and booked a taxi for us and wished us happy travels when we left so that was nice. Customer service is good here :)
