Very nice hotel. Good breakfast. Walkable to rhe beach - though a long walk for some. Pictires of the view from our room firevtly above rhe lobby. Magical bus driver navigated the narrow one way street in front of the hotel.

Easy to find the hotel and great to find a hotel with a car park in St Malo. It is close to the train station, which means plenty of food options close by. However it is only a 20-30 minute walk to the citadel, with all its bars and restaurants. Just be aware that the Prefect has decreed that alcohol cannot be sold after 10pm, although the drunks continue drinking in the street after this time

It was a very good time spent there. Staff are very welcoming people and focused on our needs. Spa,hamam and the swimming pool were very good and clean. The room wasn’t as expected, too small, poorly ventilated, toilets did not smell good at all.I do not remmend the standards rooms But the most important for me was the service and localisation of the hotel.

We had a good stay here with our family of 4 for 3 nights in one of the duplex rooms. Unfortunately we faced the back street, not the ocean, but otherwise it was as expected having read the reviews. Two twin beds up a very steep staircase (almost like a ladder) that you have to be very careful climbing (I would not recommend for young kids), a large (king?) bed downstairs and very little room to walk...

The room was modest and comfortable (with a lovely view of the ocean), but the staff were the real stars of our trip. They went above and beyond to help ensure our stay went well. We intended to only stay one night, but we ended up extending our stay to three nights. They worked hard to where we could keep our room, plus we rented bikes on-site for our final day, and that process was incredibly easy

Excellent location and beautiful sea view from our room, which, however, was way too small. Fine selection at the breakfast buffet but generally a poor cleanliness of the room and public areas.

+ clean and neat + perfect location - at arrival I was told I needed to pay another 160 euro for tax and breakfast, though I booked without breakfast. I needed to explicitly say I only wanted to pay 10 euro city tax. This feels like entrapment and thus minus two stars.

The listing for this website showed free parking on site. This isn't true. There is plenty of parking for those visiting St. Malo, but the only free parking is over night, 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM, and it is a short walk from the hotel. During the day, all paring has a charge. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was very nice and the views ocean view from the upper floors are excellent.

Lovely building and great location. Staff responded well when we had minor issues that needed to be addressed. Stunning breakfast room and also a lovely breakfast though the room was a bit too busy at times We would have liked access to a cosy salon or comfortable place to sit as our room, despite having a wonderful view, was very small.

Dont bother with breakfast I have visited the hotel before.and was impressed with breakfast, today the coffee machine was broken as was the toaster,they also ran out of bowls really not worth £22 a person,cramped seating . Hotel is lovely but looking tired

The bed in room 302 should be replaced. Someone from management should try lying in it and see just how bad it is. I had a terrible night sleep. The check in process was smooth and the restaurant staff are good but I thought the staff who worked the morning breakfast were commendable.

This is a true grand dame of a hotel who has been there for generations. It has the feel of another era. Our room was large with tall ceilings. Booked as part of a Brittany Ferries deal, nice hotel, with good amenities, although tea and coffee facilities in the room were lacking. Good breakfast selection. And a great location. Although the ferry docked at 8am, we were unable to check in until 3pm which kinda spoiled our plans to explore on the first day.

We were disappointed with the B&B st Malo self check in system. We booked 3 rooms but we could only get one room with the reference id. We had to call the b&b assistance using their outdated communication phone where the audio volume was simply too low to communicate and understand. It's a 20-25 minute walk from the train station and almost 45 minutes from the Intramuros area, but it's well worth it for the tranquility, the comfortable room even though it's small, the breakfast, and the overall price. I would definitely return.

Nice place to stay if you travelling by car. - Hotel restaurant was closed for 2 days... Staff (it’s actually same lady who doing everything - reception, helping with luggage, cooking, serving...) not really great and willing to make you stay pleasant..

Hard to find. I tried two SatNav and both had trouble. Was frustrating start to my visit after a long drive. Rooms are nice good size and comfortable. Dinner was decent but slightly expensive.

I stayed here during my trip to France when I wanted to visit Mont Saint-Michel. I must say this place is quite nice if you want to experience what it was like living in the past. One thing was, I felt at night it was a bit scary, like something you would see in the movie.

This is a lovely hotel with a very nice courtyard where you can have coffee in the sun. unfortunately it doesn’t have a restaurant but we would still stay there when next in St Malo.

Maybe once it was on the rural outskirts of St Malo, but it's now in the middle of an industrial/retail estate, and it's 8 mins by car down to the old city. That said, it's an excellent & popular stopover for the ferry. Good rooms. Helpful staff.

This is a real find. I was worried about a 3 star. We had the room with a deck. Perfect. Service was so attentive and great. It felt like and intimate beach hotel. We highly recommend this hotel in st malo. However do not eat on your deck the seagulls will swoop and steal.

We were a large group of 12 people, and were wondering if it was going tu work out. It ended up being super easy. The place is beautiful and clean. Be careful in the rooms on last floor: it gets super hot even when it’s not that warm outside. There is an A/C but it’s the loudest ever.

We had a pleasant weekend stay. They read our notes and gave us a room with a "view" and sent us a rose for our anniversary. Very nice gesture from their end. Close to a lively courtyard with restaurants and bars, and 2 minutes from the fortress.

Lovely staff who were super nice even though we arrived 30min before kitchen closes. I got some scallops with chorizo, it was a delight and everything you can expect from scallops. They melted on my tong and the little sauce with lemon was just the perfect touch added to this.

Calm and well placed hotel. The beach is 2 min walk from the hotel, and it's one of the best beach of St Malo. You also have a small shared living room with a couch and TV and small games.

I really like the service and the meal. My shower basin was stopped up. The rooms were much larger than a typical French hotel room.

Reservation made by phone directly to the hotel for the New Year's weekend, we spent 2 nights in a room with a sea view. The room itself was very good even if the 3 stars are a bit overpriced, (decor a little worn and very noisy room), I would not say as much about the service since the room has not been made, the towels not changed, the vacuum cleaner not passed (we are on the beach) ... Not Eggs...

Stayed here overnight before our return ferry back to UK. Good location about 10 minute drive to port with good secure parking. Just don't go to the Buffalo grill next to hotel as the service and food were rubbish. Stayed again Aug 24 no english channels on TV 😪 Room was lovely and clean though.

The owners of the hotel are extremely friendly. Room is clean. However the restroom and shower is way too narrow. You can not even turn yourself around.

My wife and I enjoyed our few days here. It has convenient access to the wall and beach. The breakfasts were very good and nothing seemed too much trouble to help us enjoy our stay. We would thoroughly recommend this small but friendly hotel.

Great hotel, I would definitely recommend. Perfect location near the beach and main food and shops yet still manages to be quiet and relaxing. My favorite part is how exceptionally friendly and helpful the service has been. Also has a garage to park in and a delicious breakfast.
