Dolphin Bay Family Beach Resort

We checked in to find our room was not ready - But then promptly ready within 30mins. Great, but then going to our room there were bags of dirty linens outside of our room and down the hallway crowding our entry entirely. We had to kick aside some linen to get through our door. Then the air conditioning doesn’t work very well. We had two technicians come up and tell us they aren’t very good and to go to dinner and leave the air on full blast cool for when we return. Still the room was barely chilled. To put your hand in front of the unit, yes it is cold, but our room is very hot. Especially my children in the bunk bed, the top bed was several degrees cooler. We asked the front desk, yet again to help and maybe provide a floor fan. They don’t have any. So the OWNER came to our unit and told us it was cold, and that all of the other units are the same and that we have to give it time to cool down. We assured them that we were gone for two hours and at the unit has been trying to cool down the room. He insisted on giving us a thermometer to check how hot the room was. ABSOLUTELY RUDE! He basically said we were crazy and if we wanted the room any colder, it would be ice. I assure you my children were sweating in their beds. We had to give them cold water bottles to hug and ice wash cloths to cool their bodies. Let me tell you that the cold wash cloths were because we got ice from the bar because the water in the unit is not cold. In the refrigerator cools items, but does not keep items actually cold. Customer service and customer interaction by both staff and owner is far below 4 stars which they show behind the desk. This was a very upsetting stay!
