Dolphin Bay Family Beach Resort

Great resort, the name says it all. The staff can help carry luggage to your room, especially if the room is high up in the hill. They also help bring it down during check out, just call the reception.

The maintenance, gardener and cleaning crew do an amazing A+ job at keeping the resort clean.

Breakfast was great and plenty everyday. They serve fresh fruit, yogurt, omelet, fried and hard boiled eggs. Bacon, sausage, cooked and raw veggies, cheese and cold cuts. An assortment of baked goods and much more. Dinner buffet is not good and overpriced at €25 per adult, so eat outside resort instead. Some parents let their kids run wild during meals so be equipped with patience.

The rooms are nice except the dysfunctional bathtub design that allows for water to leak outside onto the floor. AC works fine but make sure to close the balcony door since there’s a sensor that’s turns off AC when door is open.

The best thing about Dolphin Bay is the great pool and how close it is to the lovely beach with a shallow, clear and sandy bay.
I would say it is more 3* than 4*. The rooms are tired & dated, but functional with good AC, beds, showers (the important things).
We upgraded to a superior seaview, which was worth it for the views and the space.
However, we were right next door to the cleaners cupboard, so that was quite noisy every morning.
There's a good breakfast selection every morning with lots of choice and is kept constantly topped up.
To the hotel, would recommend that you get Do Not Disturb signs for your doors, signs at breakfast so people know what things are / allergies etc, promote your bar, pool bar, evening food more (there's no info in the rooms or around the hotel that we could see).

It was a very nice and fun hotel, I saw some things that are missing like some more things for families like a game room. Besides that, the pool was very good and the slide really added to the atmosphere, the meals are very tasty and the service is amazing.

We arrived here on Thursday 29th August for three nights. The hotel is superb, lovely spacious rooms, very clean. We had a view over the bay. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Unfortunately, on Saturday 31st August my husband was taken ill and admitted into hospital. Thank you to all the staff, especially Sunday, who organised the transfer to hospital and the two gentlemen who work there who helped him into the taxi. Special thanks to Meropi who managed to secure the same room for however long we needed it. Her care and compassion made a stressful situation more bearable. Thank you to everyone. Decent hotel right by the beach. It consists of multiple buildings, each has 3-4 rooms. Getting to the buildings on the top of the hill could be a bit annoying as you must take 2 elevators. Rooms may need a little bit of renovation (bathtub drains cleaned, balcony doors fixed etc), but overall it’s a decent place with very friendly service.

I highly recommended, this is an ideal place for families. We had a great time and we are more than thankful for this experience.

We had a really lovely and relaxing stay at Dolphin Bay. We stayed for 12 days and could have stayed longer. The location is perfect, right next to the beach, and at walking distance to all amenities, tavernas, mini market etc. We had booked the standard 3-bed with patio, it had been recently refurbished, and it was a reasonable size. Hotel staff were excellent, with lots of tips, very polite and helpful. Bus stop very close too but we used mainly taxis, which were kindly booked by the hotel. Pool was very clean and the beach and sea are amazing! I would recommend this wholeheartedly to any family with children as it makes for the most relaxing stay. Syros is a wonderful, unique island and is definitely worth a visit.

The hotel was in a great location breakfast was very good rooms comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially those on reception 😊👍 the beach was very family friendly and so close to the hotel. Sun beds were a little expensive even with the hotel discount

Nice hotel rooms are a little dated very nice pool area. The breakfast was OK not up to other 4 star restaurants we stayed in other islands. Not impressed with reception when we arrived young girl gave us all info and directed us to our room via the lift unfortunately she didn't tell us that the lift was not working (it had been out of order since 7am) we stood waiting for it for several minutes before going back and being told the situation not a good start When we checked out we were given a message that had been given to them 2 days before about our departure pick up
