Govino Bay Apart-hotel

A perfect place for a peaceful and comfortable stay! We had a wonderful time at Govino Bay in Gouvia. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, yet never intrusive — a perfect balance that made us feel relaxed and at home. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. Daily cleaning kept everything fresh and tidy. The large, well-maintained grounds were a real highlight — beautiful greenery all around, and the warm swimming pool was a lovely bonus. This place has everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable vacation. Highly recommended!

Before staying at the Govino Bay Apartments 3rd to 10th June 25, there had been a few reviews of concern ie dogs barking etc. Fear not, I would 100 percent recommend a stay here. There is everything you could want at hand including boat hire, lovely bay area, lovely restaurant, keen prices, good food, nice large pool and bar. The accommodation is v.clean, spacious and fully kitted out. The part that really made our holiday was the amazing customer service we received from the management here and staff. Looking forward to our next stay.

Lovely apartments, we had a week holiday here with my two girls, very clean apartment, very friendly and helpful staff. It is in a central location on Corfu with Corfu town just 20 minutes away but also all the northern areas accessible within 40 minutes drive. We rented a car and managed to see almost everything on our list. Although the weather in April was a bit colder than usual, we did enjoy our time here. The hotel has a restaurant next to it, which was convenient as we arrived late. We mostly ate elsewhere as we were always out and about though. There is a supermarket and a grocery shop near with fresh local cakes and fruit and vegetables, people are very friendly everywhere. The apartment had basic cooking equipment with two hobs, a fridge and a microwave.

The location is about 15-20 minutes by taxi from downtown Corfu, and there is a bus stop right next to it, so it is convenient to go to other places. There is an outdoor pool, so guests can enjoy swimming instead of going to the beach. However, since there is one building per 4 households like a pension, there are often bugs coming in (around the grass). The bathroom and facilities are a bit old and do not feel clean. The room and living room are separate, so the space is spacious. It is not bad for the price-to-performance ratio.

Very nice place. Helpful staff. The accommodation was clean and tidy. The surroundings were beautifully decorated. Close to the city. Large parking lot. We were really satisfied. We would come again!

To be honest the place is amazing, well located and with a great staff.
Additionally, there is a beautiful swimming pool beside the sea, with some spectacular views. I enjoyed the time there a lot... And the beauty of Corfu unforgettable.

There was no hot water coming out of the shower and there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room, everything else was fine.

Lovely clean apartments , always new fluffy towel given by fantastic cleaning ladies. Comfy beds , good bid fridge freezer and even an oven. As had to climb over bath Madelaine and Sofia provided me with a non slip mat for the bath which helped immensely as I have walking disabilities. Lovely pool although I was unable to use as ladders where too deep for me to use and the shallow end did not have a handrail for me to hold onto , just personal problems but may aid others like me when booking. Security guard Theodore very helpful especially when arriving after 3.00 pm and leaving on a Sunday when reception closed. No luggage room nor changing facilities when having later flight , we were lucky no one arriving for our ground floor apartment so we're able to stay there , I would not have managed very well otherwise even though my husband is fit. Quite a hike to nearest beach with facilities in Gouvia Bay town. Says only 300 metres as the crow flies more like 500 metres and a lot longer as you can't go as the crow flies. Nice beach when you arrive 8 euros for 2 beds including large bottle of water and plenty of eateries around. The big supermarket Dellies is up there and you can get a taxi back with your shopping. Did spend alot of time on beach at Helion , more grass than beach , beds free and plenty of company with the cats and geese. Nice relaxing time even if the weather was intermittent as Europe been experiencing lots of storms at this time.

I’m quite a nervous traveller and always read the reviews before I go anywhere. I wanted to write a review for anyone similar to me. We have just finished our stay here, but right from the beginning we were greeted with a warm welcome. We were shown our apartment, where the safe was and how everything worked by a lovely member of staff. We had been left a bottle of water in the fridge for our arrival as the shops are a short walk down the road. The apartments were clean and spacious. They could do with an update; however, for a base to sleep and get ready it was perfect! I found the beds to be comfortable. They had extra blankets and pillows and as the rooms downstairs could get hot we asked reception for fans which were promptly delivered to us. You have a basic kitchen area - fridge, freezer, oven, hob and sink. Air conditioning in the main part of the apartment and a TV where we put on ‘Kosmos’ radio of an evening which played well known songs. They have wifi, but I didn’t always find this to be the best, so if you are wanting to use your phone/ tablets etc… I would check what your data roaming allowance is first. The apartments are cleaned every other day with fresh towels and sheets! We spent most days by the pool area. They have a pool bar that serves a variety of drinks and food. It is open until 11 at night and the food is delicious and comes in great portions! In the evenings we would walk 10-15 minutes down the road towards the bay where we found a variety of restaurants to eat. Everyone is friendly and accommodating and we were often given something on the house alongside the bill. There is a few supermarkets close by, but as we only bought snacks for breakfast and lunch found the local markets that were just down the road to be enough. We had a couple of trips out. Aqualand is a brilliant day out and has something for everyone. The bus stop is just outside the apartments and you can by an all day pass for €5 each. You can pay by card on the buses. I read some reviews about the dogs barking, so packed some ear plugs just incase! I think I heard them maybe twice whilst down the by the pool; however, where our apartment was we couldn’t hear them at all. All in all we had a marvellous time and if the opportunity presented itself, we would be back!
