Artemis Village

Really amazing customer service, we loved Anna and Artemis. Room had an amazing view of the ocean, gorgeous bathroom and very clean. Pool was freezing because it’s not heated and we went in the end of the season but we still enjoyed. The location isn’t great as it’s a 40 minute walk to Fira and public transportation in Santorini is not good but Artemis offers a free drive to and from the airport. Also free delivery services for meals. The beach is a 5 minute walk, a bit rocky but huge so even in the summer we don’t expect it to be busy. If you rent a car this place is absolutely PERFECT.

Amazing service and great morning views. Picked us up from airport at midnight, dropped us at nearest bus stop in the morning as well. I would recommend 10/10.

The owner and the wife provide the best hospitality you can ever imagine and cater to your requests as far as possible. They are expanding with new facilities too.

The rooms are well maintained with necessary necessities. The balcony offers sunrise view which is absolutely stunning !

Stayed for a weekend, the staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly. This was my first time staying in Santorini and they helped me navigate, and gave great recommendations. The rooms were clean and very nice. The room had an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony!

Our flight was cancelled due to the national Air Traffic problems in UK, EasyJet basically left us in limbo with no help and we had to book our own accommodation. We stumbled upon this hotel by pure luck, and we were so grateful. From the first telephone call Artemis couldn’t do enough to help us and make an already stressful situation a little less stressful. He picked us up from the airport and waited while we had to retrieve bags that had already been checked in, both himself and his wife were the perfect hosts. They upgraded our room the second night and the room was much nicer than the original hotel we had stayed in, the pool area is lovely, You will need a car for this location as it’s a bit out of the way from most things, beaches nearby and also a couple of restaurants. The upgraded rooms are lovely and deserve more than a 2 star rating. If I did ever visit Santorini again I would definitely stay at this property.

Staying here is like staying with friends who want to ensure you have the best time possible. Anna and Artemis are wonderful, helpful and always have a smile. The place has a great pool, our rooms had recently been refurbished and is a 3 minute walk to a great taverna that does fantastic food and has friendly staff. Next to this there is a trendy beach restaurant and bar with sun beds. It is located away from the crowds, if you want to visit the island a car is needed. Highly recommended.

We are currently staying at Artemis Village and love it. The owners and staff are friendly, welcoming you as if family both when you arrive and for every day of your stay. The pool is a good size for swimming properly in and the pool area is immaculately clean. Our room is big, bright, airy and clean and opens onto a balcony which has both sunrise and sunset views. The bathroom is recently replaced and has no greek plumbing horrors! Yes the wi fi is slow but it's provided and with patience is enough to keep in touch, plus who goes on holiday to be on a phone? Yes there is no shop but there is a shop about 10 minutes away in Monolithos. The walk there is either along a small road or you can kick off your shoes and walk along the waters edge. A two minute walk down the hill takes you to the Karafa Tavern where the food is freshly cooked and well priced for the island. Another minute further down the hill is east breeze bar, a pretty instagrammers paradise with bali beds and swings on the beach. It's lantern lit at night. Far pricier than Karafa though. Yes no breakfast is provided but ask Ana and she has a bakery menu who can deliver breakfast, lunch or dinner. The lunches we had were delicious. Yes the location is away from the tourist hotspots but all can be easily reached either by hiring a car which Ana will arrange happily for you, or by bus from Monolithos. The bus is easy, costs 1 euro 60 and goes to Thira. From Thira you can then bus anywhere on the island. We walked from Thira to Oia which was stunning. It took about 5 hours in flip flops (not necessarily recommended!), including a long stop for lunch at the Pearl Cliff Hotel Restaurant in Imerovigili which had simply stunning views over the Caldera. Finally yes the hotel is under the flight path but this is not a busy international airport and didn't trouble us at all. My view is that this hotel is a gem which is brilliant value. Its away from the mad crowds of Thira and Oia and is an authentic slice of Greek holiday happiness. We will return. Efcharistó! Thank you, Artemis and Ana. From Sam and Steve

I have given Artemis Village 4/5 on my review based on the property, the hosts and what it has to offer. There are one or two improvements I would suggest along with many problems it faces due to location which from their point of view cannot be helped. So let's start with the issues it has. The location is horrible, it's in the middle of no where and you must hire a car or you'll go mad. The walk to the ***** at Monolithos beach is around 15 minutes and it's really horrific. The coastal road is not fit for purpose, there's no lighting whatsoever, the unsightly beach is strewn with little, add the abandoned car with two toilet seats hanging out it's boot and the giant electricity power station pumping out black smoke 24/7 you begin to see the unfortunate location for the hotel. Due to it's close proximity to the airport the planes fly very close to the building at an angle as they take off and land. The noise because they're so close is very very loud indeed. Things they can improve on is the next to useless Wi-Fi, it goes in and out all day and should be upgraded to the fastest possible. Some of the rooms do not overlook the sea, as is the case with any hotel, but we spent our first nigh in room 16 which my partner labelled 'The Dungeon'. It was downstairs, dimly lit, no windows and would not be for anyone claustrophobic. Our next 9 days were booked in a top floor sea view room which was the complete opposite of our first day experience. Breathtaking views, large balcony, immediate cold air conditioning, brand new bathroom suite and tiling, comfortable double bed, fridge, TV, kettle and hot showers in an instance. The room was cleaned every day, new towels every day, clean bed linen every day.....never had that anywhere in the world! Artemis and his wife Ana are an absolute joy, nothing is too much trouble for either of them to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Artemis will pick you up and drop you back off at the airport which saves you 40E straight away! The price on average in June is around 50E per night, not bad seeing a cliff top apartment in Oia is not much change out of 1000E per night I'm told! The pool is a very crisp cold so don't dip your toe just jump in! I saw it being maintained while I was there but never saw the pool floor swept. They have the long brushes to do this but there was sand/dirt on the base the whole time I was there. If you want cheap lodgings and you venture out all day this is certainly the place for you, if you want to relax around the pool all day and go out at night, you should probably look elsewhere.

Really good experience in Artemis village..the owners are really kind with the guests and the place is good. There is park and a pool. There is an amazing view of the sunrise from the rooms, that are clean and well maintained.
