Silver Bay Hotel Kontokali Corfu

I had a 7‑night stay booked, but my father tragically passed away two days before arrival. I immediately provided all documents, yet the hotel refused a refund or fair alternative. They offered only 3 nights for the same season (just months after my father’s death). Cold, dismissive, and lacking basic compassion. Would never recommend.

There were 20 power outages a day, which was really inconvenient.
The staff were not very accommodating, so I can't recommend it.
But it's cheap and has a pool.
You can get there from the city center by bus.
But there are no buses early in the morning, so you have to take a taxi. The earliest bus gets you to the airport at 8:00. It's difficult to find a taxi with Uber Taxi because it's in the countryside. So you have to call a taxi company.

Worst experience ever. I was placed for the first two nights in a 1m x 2m2 room, without air conditioning, with the toilet bowl filled with excrement, the shower filled with hair. Even though I had booked a large room. the hotel in general was incredibly dirty.

We were presented with an old and dirty room, the pool and outside area were decent, but clearly are being used to increase the price of a property that has been left to fall apart. The rooms are consistently not attended to, there is dust, rust on the taps, the doors are dirty and have clearly not been changed or painted in a long while, even the are curtains not properly placed on the rails. A picture of complete abandonment. Completely different to what is being showed and definitely not worth the per night price. The only silver lining was the great receptionist who did whatever was within his powers to get us the best room he could so we could have a decent stay. A good guy left to deal with the results of a terrible business model. Do not recommend!

Walls literally falling apart. AC not working. Food is disappointing. Everything was dirty. Even though staff said they are working on the problems they did absolutely nothing. my best advice is to AVOID IT.

I had a terrible experience here at the hotel. I get to the hotel and it says it's 'closed' but there's only 5 other groups out of 40-50?. So there's no bar, or food service at all. I had to be driven to their partner hotel 1km out to get breakfast which was included in my package and that was average at best. Then had to wait another half an hour after breakfast to be picked up (even if it was a 3 minute drive back). In the room I had, the telephone didn't work so I had to come up and down to ask for basic things. In the morning, my power was cut off because they were having issues with the power. Another guest said that their power and water was cut off the day before and I was given no notice or information about this. In general, the exterior could've been maintained better and the pool was filthy and not maintained. They said they were opening the day after I left but by the looks of it, nothing was prepared for this in the first place! I don't understand why they would be accepting guests when they are 'closed'! I was told by another guest who spoke Greek that apparently on the system they have, they can't see the guests and all unless they have over 25 bookings?! I do believe if they were open it would've been a different experience. However this really impacted my trip and first impressions. Luckily I was only there for a night compared to other people who were there for a few days and had to suffer here. I don't expect it to look exactly like the pictures however, I did expect to have all the facilities that was included! In the photos you can see what I was supposed to receive e.g. bar and food but the food area was closed off! Nothing was communicated in advance properly.

Wasn't cleaned properly when we first arrived, one day - no hot water to take a shower, next day no water at all. For the price the room was paid, this is a terrible value for money.
