The food is good, but the staff is under all criticism. Check-in and taking an order are quick, but until then, in order for them to deliver something extra, you have to order it at least 3/4/5 times and each time you are told: “Excuse me, we will deliver your order now”. This is complete madness, and they do not take into account every customer, but only a few. This is not an attitude to attract customers and a correct strategy for satisfied customers. Some of the employees who work on the beach are super fast and rude, because you are obliged to have at least 10 euros of consumption and they are lurking and rushing to order.

Hotel is very nice and family adapted. Rooms are nice and cozy, housekeep ladies are cleaning it every second day which is enough. They are also very polite. Restaurant in the hotel is extra, food is so good, portions are so big, after each meal you get ice cream. Super nice. Also stuff in the restaurant is excelent. All team working in Vergos hotel is excelent Beach is good, bar also. Adapted to kids and families. There are stores near by, and other restaurants as well. This People working hear are magnificient, i would like to see them as well next year.

Seaside hotel… but with hidden rules and constant supervision At first glance, Hotel Vergos in Vourvourou seemed like the perfect choice for a peaceful family vacation: clean rooms, decent comfort, a well-kept garden, cleaning every other day – nothing to complain about in terms of facilities. Beyond this image, however, our experience turned into a series of absurd situations that added an unexpected layer of tension to what should have been a relaxing holiday. On the hotel’s beach – so appealing in the descriptions – we quickly discovered that access does not equal freedom. Every single evening, without exception, our presence was checked by staff, inevitably followed by the request to leave because it was “too late” and we were “disturbing.” All this while we were quiet, bothering no one, and other guests were still enjoying the beach. Apparently, here the sea has opening hours, and tourists must comply. Even the children were not spared from constant scrutiny: although the pool was open and supervised, they were told they were “swimming too fast.” This was not about safety, nor about excessive noise – simply that their pace was deemed inappropriate. This kind of approach – repetitive, unjustified, and lacking empathy – made us feel not like guests, but merely tolerated, always observed and subjected to unspoken rules. The atmosphere contradicted the promise of a relaxing vacation and left the impression of a place where control mattered more than guest comfort. A true paradox: a hotel with potential and good infrastructure, but where the attitude cancels out the promise. For us, it was enough to ruin the whole experience. We will not return. And we do not recommend it.

We ate there, we were not quests of the hotel.Good good and atmosphere, the food was delicious. I put 4 stars because they gave us the POS without the note, and only when we requested the note, we saw they put the 10% tip by default, some things on the note we didn't order and some were missing. Nice staff, but we will not go again.

Pros - The location is very good - you are almost in the center of most things, 10-15 min walk from the furthest. There is a supermarket nearby. There is a large parking with a lot of parking spots which have sunshade. The balcony of our room was very big. The hotel has personal beach and you can easily enter the sea with a boat or SUP directly. The first night we arrived very late and although the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, they seated us and gave us a chance to order and eat for dinner, which was a lifesaver. The exterior of the hotel is neatly kept, with beautiful flowers, palms and grass. The young man that was the day shift personnel at the breakfast was keeping the restaurant clean very thoroughly and was very helpful with the guests. Cons - The bed was very small - although it was considered a double size bed, it was more of a person and a half size bed, which was too soft - you just sank in the middle and it was hard to turn on either side of it. The sheets were from synthetic fibers which kept the heat and moisture to you. The maids didn't always bring soap and when you ask at the reception they are not always sure how to help you and tell you to go talk with the maids yourself in the morning, without taking responsibility themselves. The breakfast is buffet-style, but very unvaried, cheap and scarce - I wouldn't recommend taking it. It was all the same every day and even though there were not a lot of rooms that had breakfast included, a lot of the offered things would finish quickly and they wouldn't replace them, therefore you needed to eat what is left. A part of the reception personnel were a little bit unfriendly.

The place is great but if you some fun on the beach, with your friends, being on holiday, you are not allowed even if can hear you, apart from the people how are în charge of the hotel. It's not normal to pay and to be obliged to go to bed when they want too. No one can hear you if you are in the beach but they have a problem if you drink something which îs not from there restaurant. The staff is ok but the management do have a problem with their customers.

I recommend from the bottom of my heart..we had a stay of 4 people at the end of July..Very clean room, renovated and clean bathroom. Very friendly staff. Very well-kept yard and large enough parking. A big bonus is the restaurant and beach bar inside the accommodation. The children have a clean playgroundBig pool and very clean..The food is extremely good, with large portions, and the employees are absolutely wonderful.The only problem is that the hotel beach may have seaweed because it is in the bay ..It was a very successful stay.We are considering returning next year..

Such an amazing place, we only came here to eat and we were surprised by the portionsizes, food came out fast and it was delicious, access to the pool is really nice bonus as well. Overall 10/10.

The location is truly beautiful and the surroundings are peaceful. However, the rooms need serious improvement. The furniture is very old and gives the room a neglected feel. Also, the door makes a loud noise when closing, which can be quite disturbing, especially at night.
Important to mention — if you’re tall, avoid the attic rooms. The ceiling is too low, and there’s barely any space to stand properly in the shower. With some renovations and attention to comfort, this hotel could become a much more pleasant place to stay.
