Where to stay in Baja

This hotel has very good location in the city center at the Sugovica river bank. From the balcony we can see a good wiew. We can walk just a few minute to see the Danube river and many others tourist places. The staff are kind. The rooms are so clean. breakfast also has good taste. The important thing for my family is our dog is allowed at Duna Wellness Hotel, so it is true Duna Wellness pet friendly...

The location is perfect and it's pretty much the only true hotel in the area, as opposed to a bed and breakfast or guest house. One issue we had was that the AC wasn't very strong even in the coldest setting. Had to sleep without a blanket because it was too warm. Opening the windows didn't help because there was zero wind and the building retains a lot of heat. The other issue was the low water...

Amazing place in a central location. We booked one of the premium rooms. The place is pretty, the double bath was nice, the in-room sauna was perfect. We needed the room as we were following Eurovelo 6 on bikes. András was an amazing host. He made sure that our stay was a very pleasant one. He also found a secure location for our bikes. Highly recommended.

Place is great the stuff is helpful. The room is medium in size but beautifully decorated. There are 3 pools in the hotel we already used two. Everything was perfect for us except for the wifi. The range is terrible but I know that we are in the corner of the building. This was my only reason why I gave this place only 4 stars. Very pleasant surprise, good restaurant in this Panzio in Baja. Big portions, very tasty, highly recommend the goose liver.

Cozy, friendly place, excellent for lunch. Although the selection is narrow, it ensures a fresh and quality meal.

Coffee was nice, though, not my favourite brand. Like the old movies pictures on the wall, nice touch.

I spent just one night in Kolibri Panzió, but all my experiences were so good in this short time. The staff were very kind and helpful all time long. The room was clean and well equipped. I also liked the way you can get into the room in the middle of the night. No heavy keys needed to carry all day long but one simple key card. I know it's common, but some places still use regular keys I don't prefer...

Great place for relax and enjoy in nature. All around the facilities are park and playground, both for kids as for adults. City center is 15 minutes of walk. Great stuff, you only have to sit on terrace and enjoy in peace and view. I was with two kids in a big room, with terrace to the river, it was big enough for four of us.

Everything is new, clean. Excellent air conditioning. Good air in the house is a striking and rare value. Unacceptably twice (!) higher! DANGEROUS internal stairs in the morning and in the dark! Instead of a hard, well-maintained bed, too soft ~ painfully squishy bed and pillows...

This is budget accommodation done right. Rented one of the apartments in the "apartment house" located some 500m from the main building. The room was clean if slightly shabby here and there; bathroom and kitchen (with hob, toaster, kettle and fridge, but no microwave) were spartan but adequate. We had a wedding at the weekend. The place is sophisticated, clean and cultured. The staff are helpful and kind. What I would like to highlight is the food! All 4 courses were delicious and plentiful. Hats off to the chef!

4 stars because it could be better. The water pressure in the rooms above is weak, either you let the cold go or the hot water comes on. You will not reach the intermediate state anyway, because it is not possible.

Camping side was open but no one there. You have to check in at Hotel Fortuna. Bathrooms and toilets are working but rather dirty. On the plus side we shared the camping with only one other tent and it was very calm.

Cycling Euro Velo 6, stayed here for one night. Checked in at Hotel Fortuna up the road from the campsite. 1 tent, 1 adult, 1 night around €9. Dated facilities but all in working order, hot water, showers, toilets, very basic but fine for 1 night!

Well maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable and large. One of the best things about this hotel is their service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain!

If you love wine I can recommend it a 5 star, if it's for the spa a 3 star unless you lucky and not many people are inside. Food at resto is top, lovely to relax 2 nights, went in winter so didn't go out walking.

The girl waitress wasn't too professional. Often we had to wait a lot for a waitress to appear. They laughed and chatted at the kitchen, while no one was found at the dining area. Serving wasn't too professional either. We went for wine tasting, and she not even showed the wine bottle for us, just showed up with the filled glasses.

Takler was ok. There seemed to be no one else there, yet we got a tiny room with a mediocre view, even though we told them we were willing to pay for an upgrade. Facilities were very good otherwise & staff was very friendly. English translation of the site needs some help ( I can help if you want).

The place is very pleasant, comfortable and modern. The only problem was that there was only one washroom/bathroom in the small apartment for 8 people, so there was often a queue.

The building is very nice, the parking is well done, the rooms are well equipped, but the bathing facilities are something scandalous. Not to mention a window, not even a vent or extractor hood. The water comes from the shower head, does not drain, but stops, and after that care must be taken to prevent it from slipping. The host is kind, check in is a bit macerated but survivable. We won't go anymore

The lady owner is extremely nice, flexible and helpful. When it turned out that my car had broken down nearby, he offered to pick me up. The accommodation was sophisticated, beautiful and comfortable, I strongly recommend it.

It's not hotel, reception working only on specific hours, with break for lunch, breakfast is in bar across the street, no electric kettle or coffee maker. Except that room are big and nice, receptionist very friendly.

This is simply a nice hotel. Clean, modern and quiet. Opposite of this building there is a restaurant with great wine selections of this region.

Definitely one of the best hotels in Szekszárd especially for what you pay. You're in walking distance from main square and still far enough not to be bothered by the noise. The rooms are good, they're what you'd expect from a hotel, with some minor issues like the showerhead and tap in need of replacing. With a TV and free wif in your roomi, it's a worthy place to stay. In the city center, a short walk from a fast charging station for EV cars (thanks, Szekszárd). When the receptionist saw us, we got a bigger room (there was a smaller surcharge for the child). Good breakfast and baby chair.

Correct price, clean.A lit bit liar to hook the customer, I asked on the phone and face to face before check-in if I can pay with euro and have an invoice in euro yes was the answer. When it was time to checkout: not possible. I only had a sort of hand & printed do-it yourself invoice. Anyway nice people.

Good location, close to the center, nicely decorated and in great condition, offering spacious community spaces.

Wonderful accommodation! Modern, luxurious appliances, fully equipped kitchen, quality environment. The landlord is kind, helpful! There is also a sauna, which is included in the price. The back terrace is very cozy. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood, close to downtown.

We came without a reservation and yet everyone was welcoming and the service was great. We were amazed by the food and the quiet atmosphere. The wines seem great, but due to my pregnancy I couldn't try some. Yet I did buy a bottle for next year. I really recommend this gem of a place and will visit again. Prices are also acceptable for the quality.

The whole visit there was perfect . The valley around the restaurant is beautiful. The food in the restaurant is very very good. I was surprised of the high quality Sauvignon "Blanka". Wonderful texture, balanced acid and typical Fragrances of citrus, black currant, gooseberry and freshly mown grass. The rooms are very clean. Especially to mention the staff. A place to come back
