Rooms can be upgraded with newer TVs and beds , but service and food and location are great. Very very good food and not expensive.

A nice place to stay even for a couple days, has interior swimming pool, private parking and comfy rooms. Offers breakfast or lunch meals.

It's a nice, quiet little place. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are not too large but OK. We had breakfast only and while it was delicious and filling, it was every day the same

There were our course a few choices. The hotel has a little wellness spa: a small pool, jacuzzi, sauna and stream room, but the rooms don't come with bath robes or hair dryers

Very good location (Balaton Lake is only 100 m; hotel has its own beach at the Lake); delicious food (every day different dishes!); rooms are big enough, new, comfortable, clean (good view to the Balaton); wellness is average (except saunas, which are varied, you can choose from 5 types); Air conditioning is not settable by yourself (sometimes it was too cold in the room)

The food in the restaurant was good with plenty of options. However, the pack lunches were very poor and didn’t cater for everyone’s needs

The location of the hotel is very good and convenient

The cleanliness of the hotel was also good, and have no big complaints apart from that that cleaning ladies ignore the “do not disturb” door sign and enter no matter what

The staff in the restaurant were not that interactive with the guests than expected. English is also lacking in the whole of the hotel

What is terrible: lifts (too few, not working well, too much waiting in breakfast/dinner time)

We are returnees to this hotel for various reasons. It is nice and quiet even in high season and has a private Balaton beach. The kitchen staff is very accommodating to requests, and other staff is also very helpful

Excellent location with a private beach and free use of sun loungers. Comfortable rooms with balcony, fridge and hairdryers. Great value overall and would certainly recommend!

Their private beach is nice as well, though open to the public, it is never crowded. Really great value for the money! My only complaint, is that the coffee at breakfast is really bad 😀

This hotel is a complete throw back, stay here and go back in time 30 years. The food is hearty, the staff friendly (I got to learn some Hungarian from one of the wait staff)

Everything was wonderful! The staff is great, always smiling. If you have any kind of problem or complaint, they strive to find a solution right away

Bikes available to use, and in summer season you can rent SUP as well. They have a nice playground and a small outdoor kids pool

The train unfortunately goes close, but on the one hand it is natural in Balchin and on the other hand it was not overly disturbing. The guest is welcome to return here!

For families with children it is also a perfect choice, there is a swimming pool, small football field, sandpit, ping pong table and close to Lake Balaton

We really like the pension, we are returning guests. The owner is very nice, they prepare and serve breakfast themselves. Its location is perfect, opposite Wesselényi beach. We will definitely come next year!

It was a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are exceptionally friendly, the location is just opposite to the main public beach and very short walking distance to the city center.

The wooden house is a bit retro, but clean, comfortable and cozy. There is everything you need, including washing and cooking facilities.

The many plants are beautiful and well-kept, despite the fact that several old trees have already had to be cut down. The city center and Lake Balaton can be reached quickly from the back gate

The bungalows are simple, but the kitchen is well equipped. The row of tables in front of small houses is also very suitable. The shower room has also been renovated, but it is quite small

They work with friendly, kind staff. It is suitable for groups because there is a fireplace with wine and a spacious terrace with many tables

What is a big advantage (location on the top of a hill) is also a disadvantage because it is hard to get here without a car (from the shore of Lake Balaton it takes about 7 minutes on winding, narrow and very steep roads)

Yes, it is possible to get to the lake, but the bigger problem is to go back :) Important information for motorists: by car, you should drive here "from the top" along Gerle Street and avoid Attila Street, which is indicated by the navigation - this one is in very bad condition, narrow, with a loose and rocky surface, generally a pity about the suspension

Fantastic place to come with family and friends. The apartments are located in the house where the owners live, however this is not a big problem as there is enough privacy

Gabor was a great and welcoming host. Brilliant breakfast. Location is excellent, views are magical and the accommodation is clean and spacious.

The hosting couple is very nice and helpful! They provided us with program recommendations, restaurant offers, and a list of attractions! Breakfasts were very direct, with an almost friendly atmosphere, with delicious home-made fresh food!

We booked accommodation for the second time, close to the beach, barbecue facilities, perfect location for holding team-building events.

Very nice staff, excellent breakfast. The beach is a 5-minute walk away. Bbq facilities in the garden. Cabins are also available at lower prices, and hotel rooms, higher comfort.

Lovely hotel by lake Balaton It was wonderful, the hotel is located just minutes from the beach, breakfast was delicious with home backed goods. The hotel has a great wellness area with whirlpools, jacuzzi and saunas

The waiter's go out of there way to make sure the service is special and you will not be disappointed in the food offered. On top of the Balaton, so great location for sight seeing and hitting the beach

The rooms definitely are on the older side. They are very manageable but bathrooms are tighter and the overall cleanliness just wasn't there. Lots of hair in our room in carpets and on shelves

Perfectly located with extensive beachfront near the beautiful marina. Several restaurants on site with buffet and al la carte choices. Very family friendly with plenty of activities for children of all ages

The view is breath-taking. Silent area, very nice after season is over. Swimming pool is very pleasant. The restaurant downstares is as good as any 5-star hotel restaurant in the capital.

Just visited relatives and had a dinner, but as I saw the hotel is perfect for families with kids. The room could be a little bigger. The food is at the highest level.

The overall demeanor from them was "can't wait to get off work and you are in our way" I hope this is just a summer job for them and this is not the permanent staff. It's VERY obvious they are not happy to be there

The younger girls who work the breakfast/dinner and drink area outside are just not very pleasant. It's very obvious the girls are not happy to be there and quite frankly are very rude

We were on the free beach in Kenyes. The time and the water were excellent. You can get a delicious flame in the buffet, but you can also have ice cream. We had a lot of fun.

It is a very cozy settlement on the shores of Lake Balaton. It is cozy to walk along the beach all year round.

Mobile house "premium", but there was nothing premium. You have to pay an extra charge for aircondition. Only two beach bars, one is closing at 19. Anyway, good place for family holiday

In the water the stones, plants and shells are taken out so it is not not a pleasant experience to walk into the water. I have mixed feelings about the place but it is located in a really good area

The beach is OK, but there are stones under the water which may cause harm. The animation programme for the kids is a plus. The food store in and nearby the site is very expensive

We had a good time. For the management: the place needs some attention. Reinforcing steel bars hanging out by the beach. Kids running around, not safe. Restrooms and showers needed a little more help.

It is a fine camping, if you just want to have a place quickly to stay. However I did not like that even though it is not a cheap place the toilets and the showers are not very good

I got the hugest schnitzel I ever saw in the restaurant. There is a direct access to the lake, although the beach itself is rather small. The hotel is located at a closed, private territory, which is good

Once you find it, the property is located right next to the lake. There is a good bar and restaurant which has been recently renovated. We like the room for our family and we would come again.

Really nice place to enjoy Lake Balaton, sail and do some sport. Very cozy hotel and superb restaurant. A must if you are planning to visit Hungary.

Very basic, but it's not for the hotel (a little bit of retro) experience it's for the location by the lake. Swimming pool, basic outdoor gym, tennis, table tennis, garden chess, pool table, bike rental all available

Good breakfast and very good location - we were looking for a place not far from the Jazz Festival and near Lake Balaton - so this was a great choice! A very beautiful and well-maintained beach adjacent to the hotel

Convenient location, Tesco is so close. bathroom and bedroom are nice. has a mini kitchen, fridge. useful for a short stop and then continue. Cons:WiFi is too weak, barely connects, and signal on TV is to weak also.

The sport hotel is okay, but not what you expect when you book a 4-star hotel. The rooms are small but clean. It is located to the back of the Sports bar.

We have visited them several times, now we spent one night here in August. Staying here as a passerby is perfect. Friendly staff, clean new air-conditioned rooms, breakfast available

I also particularly liked the design of the hotel. I would say it is inspired by Swedish subtle architectural style with hints of eastern Europe influence from Stalin or Tito era

If you fancy some swimming they have a secluded private beach area where you can find your own peace and quite if you prefer privacy whilst sunbathing

Food and restaurant are amazing, the restaurant also has a upscale terrace area with amazing view and very luxurious seating arrangements

Amazing cozy place with home like feeling. Very good location 15 mins walk from the castle and 5 mins walk from Balaton plaza - a small mall that has everything you need. Picked us up from the train station right on time
