Where to stay in Mako

A nice, clean hotel with kind staff. We only had two problems : 1. The pillows in the rooms were unconfortable and we could hardly sleep 2. The quality of the food was not as expected Anyhow, we will recommend this hotel to everyone!

The description of "Polished" hotel is quite apt. The proximity to the Hagymatikum is about as close is you can get.

The hotel looks wonderful and the staff behaved impeccably. On the second floor there is a room with a sauna that I took advantage of every morning while I was at the hotel. Generous breakfast and absolutely delicious food from the menu. I would love to come back here!

This is my second time at this hotel and I will be happy to come back again. Of course, we come for the Mako spa, and in terms of accommodation, the Grand Glorius is the best option for accommodation. First of all, the hotel is in a wonderful art deco style, with impeccable service and very friendly staff. The real hit is champagne for breakfast. If you are visiting Mako spa, this is a very good pansion, very chip but very clean and modern and near to Mako spa complex.

Thermal baths, outside and inside, where everyone will enjoy an relax. If you book at least one night to an apartman in the city, you will have 20% discount at the daily ticket entrance. YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU CAN NOT LEAVE THE PLACE (BATH, EAT, EVERYTHING THERE).

Room standard is what you expect at this price range. The room was clean and everything worked including the fridge, but the state of the television was perhaps below par. Service was good, and breakfast way better than expected. All in all good value for the money. Would visit again.

No longer at 4 star level. Beds are hard and not confortable. Double bed made with single sheets. Bathrooms in need of upgrading because they are showing signs of tear and moisture but on top of it all they are not cleaned everyday. Cobwebs in the corridors show signs of how long. It hasn't been cleaned... The hôtel has potential, the staff are friendly. Hope this review will help them bring things...

Great value for money - perhaps Szegeds most cosy offer for a nights or mores stay. Especially if using booking.coms late arrival offer. Breakfast rich and authentic. Room well heated at time of arrival in mid December. Parking in the small backyard (we were lucky that there were not many guests) was free. Highly recommend!

The hotel is very nice, clean, good location. The room was extremely overheated and unfortunately there was no option to manage the heating level. To keep the window open, was just temporary solution and sleeping in 40C was not nice altough it is winter outside. In general it is a good deal for this prices.

They give only one very small bottle of mineral water per room. So, if you stay with two persons in the room you have to share it. When we asked for one extra bottle they told us we had to pay for it. The breakfast was very poor, not fresh and not tasty at all. They didn't have any whole grain brown bread, only all kinds of unhealthy white breads.

Was fortunate to get upgraded to the top floor in a clean, spacious room that had a lovely balcony with chairs and a table. My husband and I felt very comfortable coming back to the room to recharge and relax. The hotel had an expansive and delicious buffet breakfast, too.

Helpful receptionist, nice breakfast, good rooms and the building itself is beautiful. Very close (100m) to the hotel there is a great restaurant (see picture below) called Monster DownTown #monsterdowntown where you can get a great food and beverages.

Great little hotel right in the middle of the city. You won't need your car if you stay here. The rooms are spacious and are baroque style furnished. Beautiful hotel in the heart of Szeged, close to everything. However, we booked a double room that stated it had a double bed but in reality it was 2 single beds pushed together but not actually attached to the double bed headboard (apparently this is the case for ALL the rooms..) so the two beds slide apart which means there’s a gap between them that you can fall into. It means a very restless night...

A very nice modern Hotel in the heart of Szeged, Hungary 🇭🇺. The staff are very friendly and really professional. The apartments are equipped with all the essentials that one would need to live comfortably. Parking on site is very practical and also at a fair price. a hotel located 10 km inland from the hungarian-serbian border. reception, room facilities, comfortable bed and more... all were very good. the only drawback is the very high parking fee. there are parking spaces along the road in front of the hotel. instead of buying a parking space at a high price, you can park on the side of the road. a very safe road
