One of the best hotels. I was with my family in apartment (half board). Food was excellent and various (for everyone). Cook sometimes get out from kitchen and arrange food on buffet, then you have extraordinary served food. Absolutely perfect. I can't tell anything special. This place is great as it is. There is a super kid pool with pleasant warm water, the kids had fun there. I missed a kid's slide a little or some kind of water playground. The food was very tasty, and the bar is not specially expensive. I rated this place four and a half star. I recommend.

Modern, comfortable, with fantastic amenities: pools, saunas, steam rooms, SALT ROOM!, spa menu, gorgeous rooms, and we had a private sauna and terrace with spectacular views. We are vegans, and the restaurant manager walked us through the buffet to point out the vegan food options. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was incredible. We had the most amazing time at Avar Hotel.

After hibernated for years, a legend was reborn. The building went through a complete restoration and opened again in 2020. Recommended place to stay with the family, friends or for business trips. Fine kitchen, clean rooms, and friendly stuff for a fair price. Top wellness services.

Hello, we stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Everythhing was ok. Nice wellnes. We can recomend all for acomodation.

Breakfast was fine, got a few options to choose from (even some lactose free and gluten free for those who need it). Our room was clean, the bathroom is nice, however we got two beds that were moved to "appear" as one, but there was a huge split between. Spa is nice there are 4 types of saunas and there are two pools (one very small and shallow for babies probably).

We spent holiday 23dec to 26dec 18. Nice resting, kind employers, but the roof made from metal so if you have upstairs room and its raining, you wont sleep. The camping and hotel is a bit old fashioned and crowded. The rooms are clean and acceptable, however all the team required one more pillow. The food is very common, a bit cold, and often runs out of resupply. The restaurant is also very crowded. Probably the less is more a good term for the camping.

the location is nice and well-suited for small kids as well, and the rooms are spacious. the AC/heating is noisy and the food is not that great. do not expect a culinary experience.

Really beautiful lake. Nice path. Renovated. You can rent a boat 700 huf / 30 min. The parking fee is 400 Huf/ day. But you have to pay for the toilet also( only coin....). There is a free parking area hidden near by

Is a really nice area. The hotel is Middle of the forest. The hotel have so nice modern rooms. You can find Jacuzi and sauna into the garden but lot of time is not available, because need check in, so when you want to come here you must need to ask the assistant about sauna and jacuzi are available or not. My husband and I spent our anniversary here. The staff is kind and attentive. They kept our requests in mind and tried to find solutions suitable for everyone. Really nice place for a holiday or even a day trip. The camping is right next to lake Sástó, where there is a path around the lake (suitable for buggies). There is loads of ducks, little islands in the lake to explore and a lookout tower in the woods. There is a restaruant and a café in the camping complex. There is no ATM machine around but most places take cards.

I've been visiting this place for 30 years now. Loving the atmosphere, taking excursions around the hills and like the services the Camping offers. Yet, one note: since the renewal of the camping, prices went too high for me, I preferred to travel there with backpacks, stay in a tent and pay less.

tasteful and modern rooms, very flexible hosts able to fulfill requests on very short notice, wine cellar/tour and sauna is a non-standard plus! close proximity to the heavy industry in the region, the company hotel would have been a 45min drive away at least, limited breakfast selection but absoluetly sufficient also took care to cater for a colleague who required gluten free food

Great value for money! Spacious, modern room. The breakfast was superb, great selection of hot and cold dishes. I booked directly with the front desk over phone and email and it was an easy and pleasant experience.

Superb hotel with excellent staff the hotel should be very proud of. The Breakfast was good with a large variety, also with the option to order anything extra you fancied. Restaurant in the evening again, food was great and the staff both professional and friendly. There is parking and the front and rear of the hotel, I used the rear as it secured by electric gates. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a night, the room was spacious and tidy, well furnished, the air con felt lacking power, it took ages for it to cool the room. They have a good restaurant downstairs, I enjoyed my dinner there. Staff was kind.

Nice food, good portions. Prices are moderated but not cheap. It's equal to the value of the experience.

One of the best place to eat in Gyongyos. First went there by chance with two children. Delicious food served with great attitude for reasonable price.
