Where to stay in Sopron

Fantastic, this was our second time in this hotel and it was total awesomeness again. Next summer we'll go to Lover again

A nice hotel located in one of the best cities in Hungary. The restaurant is cool, they have a gym and a spa area and a huge courtyard with a playground and sun beds. It's surrounded by the forest and there are a lot of beautiful places to visit around the hotel. Suitable for families mostly but would be good for couples as well.

Better than 3 stars, should deserve four, friendly staff, quiet, decent spa and gym, food selectuon is good.

Hotel is best buy - for money we paid we are more than satisfied. We stayed for one night with family. Dinner and Breakfast were great. The area is peaceful and quiet. The hotel i not a luxury one, but its fine. Pool is big enough for a swim. Recommendations...

The location is perfect, the rooms are clear and well equipped, the staff is very nice and breakfast is great. In the room you get some welcome drinks as well.

Clean, very close to the oldtown, frendly staff, comfy bed, great brekfast. Garage entrance is very narrow and you should get out from the car to use the cardreader (its totally fine down there).

I’ve got a single room with all the conveniances. Nice, big and clean bathroom, comfortable bed, air con working well… The breakfast satisfies all needs; plentiful and delicious. The staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is close to the historical city centre.

A family of 4 stayed one night. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. The 4 person room was perfect with one large double and a separate twin room for the kids. Only criticism is the mattress is a bit old and should be replaced. Would stay again.

Nice hotel located very close to the city center. The staff was very helpful (it was a bit difficult to communicate in English but ok). The breakfast was ok nothing special, it could have been better if there was larger variety.

Hotel run by a dental practice, that's a first for me. Finally made it to Sopron a nice relaxed town. The ham and eggs at breakfast had me puzzled for a moment but an interesting approach. Nice walks around the old town, found a good coffee shop close by and a locals bar with craft beer a little further away.

Historic Hotel, kept in Order and clean, central and safe with a romantic hall. It has it’s own garage, is surrounded by a few cafes and restaurants at the edge of the ancient town centre.

The location of the hotel is very nice, but the rooms were too expensive. 120+ euro... During the night the television turned on by itself. Near the windows the wall was wet.

Everything was kind of okay, but outdated. We choose the dinner option and it was average at best, thus the service score. Breakfast wasn’t much better. We went out to find breakfast. It’s ridiculous that you must pay money to use the game room. On the other hand, the view from the spa is gorgeous.

The hotel offers multiple features despite being not the most renovated place to stay, the rooms are a bit retro but clean and tidy, there are game rooms with billiards, darts and foosball to entertain yourself , plus and minus note is the wellness area, it is very nice and offers an amazing view from the jacuzzi but it's too small compared to the amount of guests the hotel can host, to find the place...

Staff are nice specially the main service man in the restaurant during the dinner time. Location is uphill and quiet. Have swimming suit ready if you’re pool type of passenger. We were there when the temperature was reaching 31c during the day so this open pool was a must! I need to mention that pool was very clean and not crowded at all. Peaceful, nothing-alike, beautiful hotel! Quiet, amazing food, great services, its a great place to rest a few days. Rooms are wonderful, only missed the mosquito net from the windows. Surrounding area is great for long walks, winery is within walking distance and it's close to city centre by car. You can even hear the gregoian singing from the temple while having your breakfast! Amazing.

The hotel is beautiful, it's in a peaceful and quiet part of the town. The rooms are big and clean and the staff is professional, we were able to ask for informations in both English and German. The only negative point is that they don't have any vegan option at the restaurant, but I was pleased to find plant milk at breakfast.

Immaculate, a hotel as a museum, 1hr off vienna, comfort, relaxing communal spaces, time capsule, very good menu, knowledgeable and friendly waiters. Take the upgraded rooms for a truly luxurious experience. Forest behind hotel is nice to stroll. Also the cemetery is worth seeing.

An interesting and fresh idea, how to use the monastery, which otherwise in today's world will sentenced to extinction. The remoteness of the hotel has its advantages and disadvantages. Excellent small hotel set in an old patinated building in the city center. Due to its central location, the main attractions of Sopron can be easily reached on foot. Very friendly, hospitable and attentive owners and staff. Clean and cozy, near to the city center, but still in a quiet place.

Great hotel. It's family run and very clean and comfortable. The service is outstanding and friendly. A home away from home. The beds could use more comfort.

The place has an unique charm. A very special feature is the small garden at the level of the first floor in the backyard; we had heard is was built upo ´n the remnants of the Roman buildung.

Attila is very kind and helpful. We didn't have a chance to meet, but he immediately responded to everything in a message. Clean rooms, comfortable beds! We were passing through, so it was great that it is on the outskirts of the city, parking is easy! There is also a small kitchen area, we were able to have coffee and tea in the morning, which they provide. 😊 We recommend it!

Comfortable room, clean well-equipped guest house a few minutes' walk from the city center. Smooth administration, with a friendly host. We felt good, it was nice to stay here.

Due to a university admission, we booked a room for that day late in the afternoon, and after 2 hours upon arrival, you can enter the accommodation very conveniently without a personal meeting, with a code, where a completely correct and clean room was waiting for you. Superb location. Close to many of the must see tourist attractions. A charming little hotel with comfy rooms that have everything a tourist would appreciate. I loved the small gestures: having 2 nice bottled water, a coffee mashine along with coffe and tea pods and the little confectionary by the bed with a note wishing a pleasant stay. Foods are Okey. Garden is quite nice. It feels you like you are in one of Baverian Beer Gardens however its never crowded (at least I did not see). Which is a good thing during Corona times anyway. Waiters and waitreses are very kind and friendly.

Pretty nice apartment where we (young parents with a child) spent a beautiful weekend. The hotel has its own wellness department which looks nice also, we loved it.

The chicken breast with almonds, mashed potato & cherry fruit sauce was absolutely delightful dish for lunch 😋. This photo shows only the half of the main meal as I was sharing it with my partner.

I’ve tried their cream soup option. For today’s lunch they had the healthy & delicious pea cream soup. Yum! My partner had the dear gulash soup which was also exquisite.

Exceptional attentiveness of the staff. Perfect breakfast (it is low season and we were the only guests of the hotel, but breakfast was delicious and varied). Room was clean and neat.

Quaint little old bed-and-breakfast style hotel. The owners live their and run it themselves. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. We couldn't figure out how to use the air conditioning but that's probably our fault or you have to pay extra. We only stayed 1 night but well worth it. The owners are very friendly and will likely offer you some local wine on arrival.
