Where to stay in Szentgotthard

It has a very nice restaurant with good food, nice service and very reasonable prices! I'm not a regular beer drinker, but their local beer I enjoyed. It's also close the local train station, which is convenient for those who prefer the rails to the road. I will go again for sure!

I loved it. It does everything a 3-star hotel is to do: rooms are clean, hotel's quiet, breakfast is good enough, TV-reception is stable, staff is kind.

We just visited the restaurant. Tasty and huge amount portions, kind service, prices are correct. Deserve a try.

We went only to the restaurant part. Nice food but not too extravagant taste (the chili was not spicy enough). It would be great to expand the opening hours since 20.30 is too early to close the kitchen.

It's very nice and fun, but it is just outside the city center of szentgotthard near Austria.

Hotel has good rooms, with excellent dinner and breakfast. It was clean and quiet inside of the rooms. It is hard to call elevator, buttons are almost insensitive to touch. Staff is very pleasant, but mostly do not speak English. Inside air temperature and water temperature in large pool were cold. Outside pool was freezing cold, without any heating at all. Tiles at big inside pool are too slippery...

The hotel is great. Definitely worth its 4 stars. The hot spring attached to the hotel is ok but mostly indoors and catering to kids. I'd have loved 50/50 inside/outside then I'd definitely give my fifth star and come back again. Price is good but be warned that prices can change rapidly these days

All in one for kids. Playroom, pools, food was all perfect. Only downside was that our room had 25C degrees even after opening the window. It was explained that the AC was not yet turned on in May after winter period was over. Team building group and wedding was quite noisy in some nights until early morning. Otherwise friendly stuff, clean cozy rooms. There is not much in the area.

Our room looked over the park on one side; lovely. The room was huge, with separate toilet, and a large bathroom with bath and shower. The staff in the dining area were really hard-working and efficient. Plenty of options for buffet breakfast and dinner. Our bicycles were stored safely in a downstairs locked room. Air conditioning cooled the room nicely. Excellent value for money.

Nagyon vendégszerető közegbe érkeztünk. Igazán családias volt a hangulat már az első perctől kezdve, amit ezúton is köszönünk. Az apartman nagyon szép, felújított és igényesen berendezett. Igazi kikapcsolódás volt, biztosan visszatérünk még!

Clean, comfortable apartment, the kitchen is well equipped. They produce their own electricity with solar collectors. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Friendly, kind hosts. The only thing I missed was the bike rental in the area.

Very nice friendly helpful hosts. They tried to help us with any request or question we had. Nicely furnished, clean, comfortable rooms. It's in a beautiful location. We had a lot of fun. So much so that I want to return this year. 🙂

Great choice. Close to the lake where you can swim, but running around the lake is also great. The price is very friendly, the accommodation is comfortable with a clean, well equipped kitchen. I had a great time there.

The neighborhood is beautiful. The inn too. Cheap... But the rooms on the top floor have little space due to the many beams. Everyone collided many times! Hot and cold water alternates when showering!

Modest food and drink choices in modest circumstances, but cleanly served and tasty! The middle level is retro with interesting furnishings.

Cozy building with a serious past. As it quickly cools down and in case of a full house, hot water is not guaranteed either, it is better to visit in the summer months. it can be a great base for exploring the Őrség, either on foot or by bicycle. Rooms of different sizes are ideal for many hotel guests and groups. Not recommended for the disabled due to the many and somewhat narrow stairs.

If - you want silence and peace and want to find peace of mind - you like to wander through wonderful landscapes on foot or by bike - the hospitality and service of the hosts is important - you like an orderly environment and cleanliness this will be your place. We stayed in the Rókalyuk apartment, which turned out to be very tastefully furnished, practically equipped, and perfect accommodation for four adults and a toddler. The garden is tidy and offers many possibilities. The hosts are friendly, flexible and very helpful. We have escaped from the concrete crowd of the big city. The porta itself would have provided complete refreshment and relaxation, but...

If you want to stay in Őrség or its surroundings, I recommend you don't look for accommodation, you have found it.

Usually we don't go to a place twice but we enjoyed this place and the whole surrounding countryside so much, the calmness was so ubiquitous that we revisited again. And most probably will repeat it some time in the future.

The food is still good but less attention to details, for example our soup was stone cold, and prices are gone up a bit too much, in my view, compared to other places in the area and quality/service.

We spent a wonderful weekend in the apartment with our friends. Spacious rooms, clean, tidy environment. The cooking was also good. The children were there for the bunnies and chickens, and they were happy to feed the animals. The accommodation is very nice, clean and tastefully furnished. The garden area surrounding the house is beautifully kept, there is a terrace area that offers the possibility of grilling. Everything was great. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. Very clean. The food is extremely delicious. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Exclusive place to experience the true Hungarian welcoming. The rooms have historical atmosphere, just check the pictures. But what you'll never see on pictures is the staff, who always have smile and nice word for you. Don't miss the breakfast; most of the food is local and hand made.

We stayed at the Villa, great rooms, kitchen and bath. Clean! The property is just marvelous with so many relaxing options - multiple hammocks, outdoor bed, chairs, sofas and so on. Highly recommend!!

The place is fancy and calm. If you want a still and peaceful place, then it is your place. The cuisine was local taste and they used to local vegetable and products.

Size of apartment, comfortable with kitchen. Table tennis, good, closed parking, buffet breakfast was excellent. Lake is really close.

The family room was comfortable, modern and well equipped. Although the ventilation in the kids room was quite loud and could not be turned off. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a varied and high quality selection. The pool and spa area was spacious and pleasant, but it's good to know that their rules require you to remove your swimsuit to use the sauna and Turkish bath.

What a pleasant place to stay the night and go on with our travel! It's a pity we couldn't stay longer, enjoy the dishes and explore the city. The staff was super professional and friendly, communication in English is flawless. They offered us plenty of various foods for breakfast plus free coffee! The only drawback is that the room was rather too warm to sleep, but that is what happens in most hotels...

The boarding house itself is good, but the equipment is very poor... there is nothing else in the boarding house apart from a microwave and a refrigerator.

Great place! Big, clean room and bathroom, in a bit old style but it doesnt matter for us. Delicious breakfast full of fresh ingredients and very nice hosts makes this place a great "pit stop" in a journey.

English speaking host was friendly. Rooms look like from 20 years ago. Parking is free in closed area. Brakfest is simple but good.
