A beautiful hotel located in a beautiful hilltop place. The room was a good size but outdated. Eventhough the place didnt look busy, We were placed at the farthest room to the main hotel area and I didn't even know if there was anyone else on that side of the building because there were certainly no other rooms that were lit at night. It was a huge hotel so I wonder why we were isolated.

Dinner was amazing. The breakfast buffet offered many choices and sufficed to start the day. The rooms offered beautiful views among the clouds. The SPA! Oh the SPA! Melissa gave a spectacular massage. The facility was spotless, warm, welcoming and cozy. As a massage therapist myself, I feel more than qualified to recommend visiting the spa. I wish I had more time to avail myself of the services.

Magnificent setting for this lovely hotel, set up in the top of the mountains. The lower floor of the hotel is nicely modernised. But the bedrooms especially the shower was quite out of date and showing signs of this. The bed, bedding, towels, the whole hotel were spotlessly clean. Beautifully located at the bottom of Barga's historical centre (which is on a steep hill), the hotel by has comfortable rooms and the owners are friendly and caring. There's a small enflatable Jacuzzi up on a quiet terrace which offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and on the ancient town on Barga.

The guy who works there very kind but hotel a bit poor, haven't even plastic cups in the room or bath.

Lovely hotel in the sleepy town of Barga. The staff are very attentive, welcoming and they speak English well. The decor is fairly dated and there was no air-conditioning in the room but otherwise this was a good choice for our week long stay. There is a decent breakfast and a very nice rooftop terrace.

This place is highly recommended if you stay in barga. I stayed in room 25 that is on the top floor with roof terrace. Large spacious room that was nice and clean. The views from the terrace are amazing, overlooking barga. The staff are very pleasant and friendly and catered for all my needs. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was nice and fresh. Just returned from a 5 night stay. We had an amazing time in Barga and Villa Moorings is the perfect location to relax and explore the area. Beautiful 1920s art deco building retaining many original features - if you want authenticity and a friendly family atmosphere then this is the place. Fabulous coffee, pizza and staff. Now in the post-covid times it is a joy to see the Alpino return to its lively and friendly self.

Great service. Very welcoming and gentile staff. Good and sturdy food. Some of the antipasti were a bit plentyful on the plate though. All courses were crammed with fresh produce, lovely smells and good texture. Well worth your money.

I visited the restaurant with my husband and son. The quality of the food was excellent and the food was very inexpensive for the quality. We shared two pizzas and it was more than enough food for the three of us. The service was excellent and we plan to return and try more item on the menu.

Nel Cielo has been beautifully rebuilt adhering to Tuscan traditions. It has cotto floors with underfloor heating, chestnut beams in the ceilings, and a fantastic shower room/WC. We recently stayed here in early May, and we all were delighted with the house. It was clean and neat, and we found the accommodations just as pictured and advertised. Diego and his father, Angelo, were attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed Angelo's homemade wine. The views of Barga and the valley were magnificent. A beautiful villa sat in the amazing village of Albiano. We had a wedding down the road in I Cedri but found this place for friends to stay in. What a find having had previously experienced a massively disappointing dinner at our nearby hotel on the same hillside outside Barga in early October this year. Being foodies this was a fantastic restaurant. Menu comprised lots of home cooked foods, fish dishes were particularly good as was the local wines. Great value and friendly welcoming staff. Unmissable stay. The Hosts are really helpful and welcoming, with highly sought after customer care. The rooms are charming, with a very high standing of style and cleanliness. The contemporary art collection inside the hotel and the numerous pieces visible in the rooms are of high value as well as excellent taste. The stay was an experience worth living. Highly recommended !!

This is a beautiful hotel. The owners cannot do enough for you. We have never felt as welcome in any hotel in over 40 years of travelling abroad. The original artworks that adorn the walls are truly remarkable and make staying a joy. If you are ever going to Barga you will not find a more joyous experience anywhere. Beautiful farmhouse, excellently restored and preserved, 2 double bedrooms and one single very tidy and well-kept! Outside, a beautiful green area with various viewpoints over the valley. Beautiful old lemon house next to a manor house. It is a few minutes from Barga, you can only see mountains from the garden with deck chairs and you can only hear the wind and the stream passing by. The road has little traffic. Interior in antique style but very comfortable, nothing is missing. Suitable for two people who want to enjoy some tranquility and the Garfagnana
