Gave it four stars taking into consideration the local offer in general. Anyway, if you come to this place, you do it for the beach, the sun and the relaxation mainly, not for the "room service", right?! :)

Very nice property with spacious, comfortable rooms and pleasant staff. The wifi is also quite good. It's a little out of the way but great if your looking for something near the ocean and with outdoor space.

Donatella was awesome! The place was very nice, and the food was pretty good as well. The couple making the food were very kind and eager to please. We would stay there again in a heart beat! The only down side is that it was a challenge to get there from the highway (our GPS and the road system did not see eye to eye).

Beautiful hotel just a stone's throw (well a short shuttle ride) from the stunning Calabrian coast that is a delight for snorkellers of all ages. The water is crystal clear and fish are everywhere to be seen (bring footwear for the pebbles and rocks though as it can be a bit tricky without). The swimming pool is very small compared to pictures. The breakfast was good but can't say the same about dinner. Beautiful private beach but for family of 4 you get one bed and one chair. Great family spot with an access to the beach, as well as to the swimming pool. We had a seview apartment and it's located on the hill which might be an obstacle for people with disabilities or strollers but always helpful stuff is ready to give a golf car ride up a hill. A great place to stay. The apartment is super clean, spacious and close to both the town centre (via the stairway) and the beach (via the road). A weekend stay with a large group of friends, Tommaso was fantastic in satisfying our every need and need right from the time of booking. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights october 5th and 6th and had a great stay. The rooms are clean, modern, and well appointed and the owners are two of the nicest people I have ever met. Breakfast was great and upon an early checkout, as we were headed to catch a bus, we were given a breakfast/lunch to take with us. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The only complaint I made to the staff is the poor hygiene I found dirty mattress covers and pillows we asked for the change and they told us they couldn't do anything about it and that we still had to pay for the cleaning done by them we paid but we left feeling sorry and disappointed...

Stayed for 11 days at la roccette mare at the end of June. We booked a hotel room, but got an apartment instead. Location, location ,location ... All the rest is average . There's no park inside the hotel , but you can use the street , and park "caves" right in front of the hotel . The sand and the beach is amazing

I don't understand the glowing reviews here. Our room was old and didn't look like the pictures. The linens were soiled and the phone didn't work. We kept having to go to the front for whatever we needed and half the time the staff didn't even fulfill our request. They said they would fix the phone and didn't. Great place for the budget conscious whilst still within easy reach of the main areas in Tropea. Rooms are simple and clean. Only negative was our room was a little smelly from the bathroom drainage traps, and the shower was extremely small and hard to wash in. Otherwise good enough for a short stay.

Big bang for your buck. This gem offers excellent food, outstanding service and breathtaking views. The rooms are modern and well kept but the building's envelope needs some major work. The staff is particularly special, I was sad to have witnessed 3 extremely talented staff members quit due to poor ownership. Owners must do better, Valemare deserves the world. Will come back.

Tropea is a wonderful small town with beautiful historic buildings. The beach is clean and the colour of the water is turquoise. Breakfast had a great choice of foods. Hotel is very good, friendly staff and a great view on the beach. Room was comfy and the AC worked well.

I spent a very relaxing week at Hotel Rocca Della Sena in Tropea. The location could not been better, very close to the historic town centre yet very quiet. The terrace has a superb view to the sea.
