Excellent, excellent cleanliness, central place where you can visit the whole village of Buonconvento on foot.

I stayed in the separate albergo part just down the road. The room looks recently tastefully renovated and it was exceptionally clean. Everything worked well and the breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was very very good.

Acceptable room but old shower cubicle. At the reception the welcome is splendid. The very kind lady of rare availability helped me in organizing my stay with precious information. Cheerful and enthusiastic, she made me feel at home. Recommended!

Now here is the staff that really gets to know you! The service has been excellent. Love the restaurante Roma that has a connection with the hotel! Ask for the little discount. We shall return next year!

Had a great time during my stay! It’s apartments with kitchen and everything you need. Mara and her husband were super nice and helpful. Only downside for “regular” tourists might be the rural location in the middle of nowhere. If you want to enjoy Tuscany’s calm and natural flair, this is the one for you. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but there is no need, since the farmhouse is located on top of a hill; in the evening it is very cool and windy even on the hottest days of August. Great location in the middle of the most beautiful and iconic part of Tuscany. Large and clean cottage with all the appliance you need. The view from the garden was very beautiful! The host was a bit difficult to find upon first arrival. The pool was pretty cold but we loved it nonetheless!

We were three friends and we stayed two nights, the first night I took a cold shower with very timid water output, nothing to say about the apartment as it was clean and with everything you need that a small apartment should have. Nice swimming pool but outside it was very unkept full of insects. The welcome wasn't the best given that as the Lord accompanied us to the room we didn't have time to enter...

The environment is very good and unique, but the truffle digging activity is a scam. I suspect it was pre-set. The front desk is likely to overcharge. You must check the bill. But the hotel is very unique and the room is comfortable. The service is a bit of a scam.

I travel often and can say that this is the one of the best hotels in Italy. If you like luxury staying, blowing air full of flower aromas, Michelin 2024 restaurant and high class wines - this place is it. Will come again for sure!

An almost perfect experience. We experienced a car accident during the trip, but the hotel arranged and handled the whole process. The food service was also great, especially the Margherita pizza and T-bone steak.

Il Burellino is the most beautiful B&B up in the Tuscan hills. The villa we stayed in was beautifully designed and well-equipped. The grounds and pool are stunning. We loved our stay at hotel dei Capitani, would highly recommend. Montalcino is famous for truffles, wild boar, wine, and beautiful views, especially from this hotel. It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. The room is in third floor without elevator and it is difficult for any seniors with a luggage. The room was cluttered with too many old things. Very small shower stall but it functions well. We stayed at this place on a one night trip this beautiful city. The only issues we had were initially parking in order to get to the place. You need to park on the edge of town (about a 5 minute walk max) and walk in. My fiancé and I went on our 3rd trip to Montalcino, and this quite possibly could have been the best. From the beginning Palazzina Cesira were very hospitable. In the morning they have a beautiful spread of food including "eggs your way", and delicious blood orange juice from Sicily! I stayed after a day of driving from Florence. Arriving in front of the hotel with a car can be difficult. There’s really only one way into that street. Don’t use any of the mapping systems available. They will send you down small streets that cannot be traveled in an automobile. Once arriving, the staff was fantastic. The room was absolutely beautiful and we just couldn't get over how stunning the scenery was from anywhere you went on the property.
