Grand Hotel

I recently stayed at Grand Hotel Cannigione, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Nothing about this hotel lived up to its supposed 5-star rating. The room I was given was the noisiest I’ve ever experienced, and despite complaining to management several times, the only “solution” they offered was to pay an additional $1,000 per night for their best room—an absurd suggestion given the circumstances.

To make matters worse, smoke from other guests seeped into my room, and despite raising this issue, the hotel did absolutely nothing to resolve it. I was so dissatisfied that I wanted to check out early, but the staff refused to give me a refund or even a partial refund, repeatedly claiming it was "impossible and forbidden." This rigid and unhelpful attitude only added to my frustration.

Adding insult to injury, the hotel has a policy that forbids bringing outside food into the premises. I wanted to order pizza, which they didn’t offer, but was told it was prohibited. It felt like I was being punished for wanting a simple meal.

The hotel’s style is outdated and far from luxurious. The furniture and decor look like they’re from the mid-1990s, and nothing about the ambiance matches what you’d expect from a 5-star establishment. I wouldn’t recommend staying at Grand Hotel Cannigione, even if it were free. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
