Where do I begin. My boyfriend & I booked this hotel a year ago and have been excited since. Upon arrival, we were told we had been upgraded to a suite. The excitement lasted all of 2 minutes, until we got to the room. The room was small, but this didn’t bother us as we weren’t planning on spending much time in the room as we had lots of sunbathing planned. Well, the weather had other plans, and we were essentially stuck in the room for 3 days. Thank God they have Netflix on the TV as there is no entertainment within the hotel. The breakfast is possibly one of the worst ‘buffet’ breakfasts I’ve ever had. The bread is inedible. They make you pay for extras (freshly squeezed orange juice/coffee). The only hot food they have is scrambled egg, bacon & hot dog sausages. The prices they charge for the lunch/dinner food is ridiculous - you get better quality in McDonald’s for a fraction of the price. The attitude on the waitresses is shocking, they are so unhelpful. You don’t want a room below the terrace, otherwise you will not be sleeping if there is an event going on. The reception staff were helpful, however and the location is really good. You can walk to the Port & Marina really quickly.

Location is beautiful, we had a gorgeous view of the harbour. The room was clean and cutely decorated - although it smelled a little musty. We did have a ground floor room and sleeping was an issue on the last night as they had a party upstairs. After calling the front desk, there was nothing to do, music would be turned off at midnight. We had an early flight of over 10 hours to catch in the morning and had to be up at 3am. Ended up getting only three hours of sleep - TERRIBLE :/ For this I gave service 1 star. If you are looking for a quiet place - this is not it. Probably even worst during peak season.

I do not recommend. we booked a night for part of our honeymoon holiday for a suite with a sea view and when we arrived we were given a wall view. the staff didn't care and claimed that's what our reservation was for. This is the 300E view…

This hotel is an nightmare!! Rooms are like a basements… no daylight, super small, disgusting and not clean, terrible smell of humid inside the rooms, beds are so old and small. Employees are barely speaking english, definitely not nice attitude. They trying to charge for everything; even for cards to the room. Only nice thing was good breakfast. In general: DO NOT VISIT, do not overpay for low quality experience.

I stayed 4 nights with my girlfriend and had an amazing time at Luci di la Muntagna.

Very recommended for those seeking relaxing time at the north of Sardinia. Great views from the restaurant and the rooms.

Talking about the rooms, the AC (one of our main worries) was perfect and the TV worked properly. They were very clean and the view was fantastic.

The pool was amazing, very fresh and clean with a lifeguard that is very attentive towards kids.

The only thing and the main reason why I don’t put 5 stars is the food… we had breakfast every morning, we also ate at Lucina for dinner and we tried the food from the Pool Bar. We felt like the options for dinner and the Pool Bar were very limited and even they would run out of dishes within the narrow selection.

I would say that the only thing they’re lacking is better food with wider options even if it’s pricier (which I don’t think it’s the reason).

Other than that, our stay was perfect, highly recommended.

We had a birthday, they did not even offer a simple dessert or fruits, just ignored our asks about it (in all of the hotels we stayed at birthdays stuff would always give us some tiramisu, fruits, or champagne, these hotels were even 2-3 stars. It’s called client orientation, guys). No free water in rooms, no slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes. The breakfast was AWFUL. My daughter and I don't usually do breakfast, preferring a cup of coffee, spremuto & a little cornetto. Here the coffee was disgusting, just disgusting, dry Cornetto (felt like leftovers from yesterday), no other choice of breakfast except eggs with sausages, and they also said that spremuto has to be payed apart from breakfast (what?))🥴).
With this success I could have just booked a random hotel with no stars and get the same service.

Pros: the location, the view, but we didn’t dare to have dinner at their restaurant as the reviews were bad and the breakfast of ours showed us enough to not willingly spend more money there.
So if you want to feel like a welcomed guest, you're not welcome😀

Great location, Rooms desperately need modernisation

The good

The view from the ocean view room is excellent.
The lounge and rooftop bar are very comfortable.
The staff that serve breakfast are very friendly.

The Bad

The room had a strong smell of mildew.
There is mold in the shower and hallway.
The room is very tired and unappealing.
Housekeeping is not consistent
In my opinion, it’s not even close to a 4-star hotel as advertised.

There is rust and corrosion on taps.
The air conditioning did not work properly.
The front desk staff are unhelpful and appear disinterested.

This hotel might have been sensational when it was built in the 1960s, but it is, in my honest opinion, one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.

Upon arrival, there was no one to assist with bags or show you to your room. There was a mess in the bathroom. I called reception, and it was cleaned. The bedspread was stained, dusty, and dirty. Another call to reception, and it was changed. The room smelled strongly of damp and mildew, triggering asthma symptoms after the first night.

I advised reception that we wanted to change rooms, but they told us, “The hotel is full, can’t help you.” However, an internet search showed that other rooms were available. The air conditioning only allowed one temperature and one fan speed. I advised reception, and they said they would fix it, but nothing was done. There was rust and corrosion on bathroom fittings, mold in the bathroom, and gaps where joinery work was not completed. 2 face towels had large holes in them.

The toilet is so close to the bench it’s difficult to sit on it properly without hitting the bench.

The furniture looked like it was made in the 1960s and also smelled.

The staff at reception looked like they had heard these complaints many times before, and the attitude was, “Oh well, it is what it is, you should be grateful we let you stay here.”

It’s not unusual after you leave a negative review for the hotel to respond with “ had you let us know that you were unhappy we would have done something about it” they knew we were very dissatisfied with the room but they just don’t care.

The restaurant has an outdoor area, and if you would like to have dinner there, they charge €15 per person as a cover charge.

We had breakfast included in the price, which was average at best. Should you want a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice, then be prepared to pay an additional €10 for the privilege.

We booked and paid for 6 nights but left after 5. Tourist trap.

In my opinion, it’s at best a 2.5-star hotel room in a 4-star location that is very overpriced. Suggest you Avoid.

This review is mainly to share our experience with the lovely staff of this hotel! Everyone, from arrival to throughout the week, was so kind and welcoming. Elianora first greeted us when we arrived and has shared the most amazing recommendations and been such a delight. The entire reception, management, and restaurant staff I can not say enough good things about. It definitely made this already beautiful stay even better. We were also upgraded to a sea view upon arrival—I definitely recommend this if visiting. l haven’t seen other months, but I think October is the perfect time of year to come!

The location of this hotel is very beautiful, however there are good and bad parts of this place. We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 PM and our room was not ready. Had to wait about 3 hours for the room to be ready.
The room was very tiny, looked more like a single room than a double. The pillows were very soft and thin, the bed covers were stained, and the air inside the room very humid. A lot of improvements needs to be made.
Staff at the hotel was helpful and respectful. We had breakfast included but not so much variety in the menu. Every day they had the same things.
The dinner was nice (tasty) but you have to wait more than 30 minutes to be made and it arrived almost cold.
I would not stay at this hotel again. It does not deserve 4 stars.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't.
