This hotel is very nice. Good style and spacious rooms in a great location. The hospitality is excellent. And there is a nice bar attached with snacks and beverages. My only suggestion would be slight improvements to breakfast which would put it over the top (fresh juice, more fruits and vegetables, etc.).

Nice hotel right in the centre of Palau! The staff were lovely. Would recommend a trip over to Maddalena as Palau town is a bit quiet. Breakfast was good but quite basic - what you’d expect for the price!

Our stay at La Vecchia Fonte was ok. We chose it because it was a bit of a last minute booking, they are close to the diving center we were visiting, it has air conditioned rooms and it has a relatively good price when you compare to other properties in the area. The staff was super friendly, the room was nice enough, the shower is tiny, we were on the first floor with a view of the dumpsters so that didn’t help. Make sure you get higher floor rooms.
If you have a car, avoid this place. They told us to park on the street in front of the hotel which is a paid parking area and we had to go early in the morning each day to buy a parking ticket. They advertise a paid private parking option but that was not made available to us. Some random people scratched our car which makes sense given that there is a market every night around the parking.
Other than that, it is a good option if you are looking for a chill place and the location suits your travel plans.

Of all the 4-star hotels we stayed at in Sardinia this one is the only one worthy of 4 stars, and it earns that title and then-some! Absolutely lovely staff and director, very clean and well stocked rooms and an amazing breakfast. We also asked the staff if they would organise a dinner for us on our balcony and they went all out, giving us the most special dinner we had in Sardinia, maybe ever! It was for our parents 30th anniversary and they made everything impeccable! A very special thanks to the owner, Mirco, who personally came to make sure everything was perfect and as well to Filippo, who greeted us so warmly!

Very nice hotel... lovely rooms, new renovation and beautiful style! Friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant. The breakfast is small but sufficient. Can totally recommend this place and always book again.

Hotel in the small port of Palau, in a strategic and convenient location, because in addition to being close to the landing points on La Maddalena, you are practically in the center of the city. Very spacious, well equipped and very clean rooms, we had a junior suite overlooking the harbour. Average breakfast with everything you need. Exceptional staff, courteous and always ready to accommodate any request. We will definitely return for a holiday in Sardinia.

My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We had a standard room, it is still large and comfortable. Excellent cleaning, even sheets and towels. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. More than once stopped to chat with the guys from the reception and the bar. We left reluctantly and if we return to Palau we know where to stay!

À nice hôtel. Well located (not far from the Porto and the center). Room are spacious and air-conditioned. The bar/restaurant is good. You can easily find a snak. The staff is nice and speaks different languages. I forgot taking picture for the room :(
