Club Hotel Residence in Cesenatico

The room was decent, but the cleaning was a bit rushed, not spotless. The restaurant wasn't as close as advertised. Lunch and dinner were unremarkable. Pasta and rice were always undercooked, and there was very little choice. The appetizer buffet was always the same, nothing special. The only truly good thing were the desserts they make in the evening. We were hoping for breakfast, but even that was disappointing: the bread was hard and the selection was very limited. The food is better in the hospital. There was no entertainment, and no special events or evenings. The staff were kind and helpful.
We will definitely never return.

Under normal circumstances, the hotel would deserve a solid 4 (good customer service, always attentive to guest requests, excellent room service – daily room cleaning, close enough to the Adriatic Sea, sufficient for us, and above all, a clean pool, a great base for visiting places like San Marino). Normally, it was great, that's what we expected. Well, maybe except for the shower. A square meter at your disposal and guaranteed exercise – truly Italian design, beautiful, impractical :) However, I'm giving it a far-fetched 3, and the food is responsible for all of this. The problem is – after a few days, we had to start eating out for the kids, and we started eating there ourselves. There were only two soups to choose from, and they tasted like the fourth garnish (no tomato soup, only some strange soups). You can also forget about the Italian dish the kids love – pizza, never once during our stay. French fries every few days. The quality of the food was poor. The owners should either consider improving the standard of food or they should abandon this service altogether because, in my opinion, in many cases it lowers the rating of an otherwise decent hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 14 nights during the middle two weeks of August 2024. We chose this hotel because the owner had told us via email that there would be entertainment for children both in the hotel and on the beach. Animation practically didn't exist. In the hotel there was very "poor" animation, which cannot even be called entertainment, and on the beach there was nothing for children.

The worst experience, however, was the food. For two weeks, in the hotel "restaurant", the menu was practically always the same: every day the same starters, raw pasta, raw risotto... no variety in the desserts, every evening a huge cake, with cream... and that's it.

Not to mention the breakfast, which was always the same: low quality croissants, very low quality ham, low quality cheese too and always the same. In the dining room, which could be called a "canteen", there was terrible noise, chaos reigned, and the waiters could not keep up with the preparation of the tables. In the end, we had to look for a table ourselves and set the table ourselves.

As for the food as a whole, it was a total disappointment. We also spoke to other hotel guests during our stay and they confirmed the same impressions.

The owner of the hotel was present and helpful, which unfortunately cannot be said of the lady owner. Of course, at our request, he made a refrigerator available to us free of charge for two weeks. My husband tried to give diplomatic feedback directly to the owner (constructive criticism) about the hotel (particularly the food), but the lady seemed apparently offended. It is a bit strange that the lady, offering international breakfasts in her offer and advertising her hotel also on foreign sites (travelist.pl and not only) does not consider the presence of guests from Poland or the Czech Republic, practically offering only typically Italian and low-level breakfasts.

On the plus side: the distance from the sea, the Bahamas Village, the clean rooms, and the very friendly staff at the reception (Christian and Ilaria). Only the staff is the strong point of this hotel.

I stayed at this property for two nights unaware of the fact that I had received a totally different room from the proposal that was made to me, a single room can never be used as a triple. Cleanliness of the room I must say very good, however as regards the dinner service the food left a lot to be desired. I certainly won't recommend it.
