Excellent family run hotel. Loved our stay here as part of day 3/4 of TMB. Would have preferred to stay here longer! Room was very nicely appointed with a good sized bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Located just 200 m from main shopping area of town. Buffet breakfast was one of the best- they had a basket of chocolates on it! A first for us!

Lovely and friendly family run hotel in the heart of Courmayeur. Great mountain views off our little balcony, unbelievable breakfast, and we were able to book the spa for a real treat on our "rest" day from TMB. The staff were exceptional and knowledgeable. Rooms and other spaces decorated with style. Highly recommend.

I loved Courmayeur and this hotel! Stayed for two nights in the middle of our TMB as a break, but I could have stayed one more. The location was great, right near Via Roma street for eats and shopping, the rooms were spacious and clean. Our friends say that the massage therapist was spot on and knew exactly what hikers needed (although his space was small and a little odd for our very tall friend). I wanted to get into the spa but should have reserved a spot as soon as we arrived for the next day. Waiting until the day of did not work. Breakfast was wonderful. Hope this helps.

A wonderful family run hotel. The welcome is genuinely warm. There is a lovely private spa that you can book in the basement. The breakfast is excellent, and there is a fantastic view across the valley and mountains. The staff are very helpful and prepared an early breakfast when needed. The location is brilliant-in the heart of the town but on a quiet pedestrianised street.

We spent 5 nights in a twin room in the main building during February. The location is great for the town, but it's a good 5+ minute walk from the gondola, we rented a ski locker by the gondola as it was too far to be carrying skis and walking in ski boots. There is no bus. The boot room at the hotel is also in an adjoining building so not particularly convenient. The staff/owners obviously take pride in their hotel and it was kept very clean and a good breakfast provided. Our room was quite dated, i found the bed very hard the the pillow was awful. We overlooked the valley and the room was quite noisy with late night revellers and bottle banks being emptied at dawn. The hotel tried to encourage being environmentally friendly, but provides single use paper cups and plastic spoons for tea and coffee in the room so mixed messages there. Whilst our stay was perfectly adequate i wouldn't return as i don't feel it was particularly good value for money considering how much we paid (understand it was peak ski season). Absolutely loved Courmayeur though and will definitely return to the resort.

I think this might have been the best service we have ever had from a hotel large or small - from the moment we arrived the hotel team have been incredible. Nothing is too much trouble, everything is done with a smile and you feel so welcome. One evening they surprised the kids with marshmallows to roast in the fire pits outside the hotel which they loved. The hotel is just two minutes from the pedestrianised part of Courmayeur so easy for shopping. The gondola is just 8 minute walk away so handy to get up to the ski slopes. The rooms are lovely with incredible mountain views (the picture is the view from our room) and the breakfast sets you up for the day. Thank you Hotel Berthod for a wonderful stay - we will be back!

The hotel was great, good location, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. It is a 10 minute walk to the Funivie and we were told there was a shuttle from the hotel which there isn't, but that is the fault of the tour operator. I would ask to stay in a room at the back as those at the front are noisy with late revellers returning and early morning deliveries. Otherwise I recommend!

We stayed here two nights as part of a hiking trip around Mt Blanc. Beautiful hotel, and we were lucky enough to get a room with the valley view. The room was very nice with a wonderful balcony. The breakfast was excellent with so many choices of great food.

I was traveling with a group of hiking friends hiking the TMB. We had a rest day here. I booked a massage at Hotel Berthod with Lorenzo A. After the massage, I discovered he had filmed my massage entirely from the moment I stepped in the door til getting dressed and without consent. He denied this. Such a disgusting, vile act. I have tried contacting authorities from the US but no action has been taken or investigated. Be on the lookout for phone cameras with green lights aglow in private situations. Hotel Berthod refused to take action against the massage therapist either. It’s too bad because Courmayeur is a beautiful city but is now tainted with this memory for me. I was really hoping to report this crime but since the local police are not taking this seriously, I feel it’s important for others to know and to be vigilant while traveling. This experience has shaken me and every time the news reveals more crimes similar to this, I am sickened. My hunch is that I’m not the only one who he has done this to and who knows if it’s gone beyond filming. His activities must be exposed and dealt with.
