Stayed here in Apr2012 on a biz trip, near the sea, a very relaxed environment.

Our 8th biennial visit. Now fully and beautifully refurbished. Both a tourist and business hotel on the seaside with an award winning restaurant. Spacious air-conditioned rooms with Sky TV. Highly recommended.

Great time spent here, lovley people.

Very good location near the sea and 15 minutes of walking to the city center, But the size of the double room is too small for 2 adults and a baby. Also the breakfast is very poor with no change everyday.

We had a fantastic stay. Room was perfect. Bathroom was huge. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful. Hotel was in a great location at the edge of the old town. We had some lovely food nearby. Hotel was a short walk from the beach. The staff we met were all really lovely. I would absolutely pick this hotel again if we were in Fano.

We stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting Le Marche. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff very helpful. Our corner room on the second floor was extremely spacious with a good shower and comfortable large bed. We had 2 balconies and a view of the Roman wall of Fano. I am a tough critic when it comes to hotels. My expectations are beyond crazy and nowhere is ever good enough- I even travel with my own linens. Hotel located very near the beach and easy walking distance to many good restaurants. Extremely clean, well appointed, modern rooms (mine had a nice balcony with ocean view) with good air conditioning, good breakfast, friendly staff and the Internet is fast, but WiFi reception in my room was spotty (unfortunately weakest signal at desk). Nice rooms in the cracking small city of fano. Ideal location for holiday and a stones through from the beach. Brill centre for shops and food. Dont touch the minibar as you will need to take out a second mortgage to cover costs. Good breakfast

Siamo stati benissimo. Eravamo 3 adulti ed il nostro pastore scozzese. Hotel Excelsior è ubicato a 10 metri dalla splendida spiaggia di Fano, vista camera ottima direttamente sul mare. Camere pulitissime, personale cordialissimo in modo particolare Catia e Matteo. Parcheggio riservato all'interno della struttura alberghiera. Colazione per un tre stelle abbondante.

Generally hotel is up to 3 star standards. Staff is friendly and breakfast is ok. I dislike that next to hotel is located a night club with a loud music till 3 am. Closing of window and ear plugs will not help!

Beautiful estate, lovely rooms, great restaurant and excellent service.

The location and views are amazing, and the rooms/apartments are very special. But the service was definitely not up to par! First, the apartment was not equipped with basics (e.g. no colander for the pasta, no oil or salt, the moka machine was broken, etc.), then the cleaners came only once in 4 days, which can be problematic if you have a baby and nappies start piling up (even more when it's Summer...

Our second visit. It’s rare to find this lovely combination of grand style mixed with casual ambience. Fabulous food, big pool, lovely trims with frescoes painted by the owner. You won’t be disappointed. Great base for exploring the seaside resort towns that date back to Roman times. Day trip to Urbino’s Renaissance glory is a must.

We had a wonderful long weekend's stay at Villa Giulia. It was so peaceful and quiet, and in beautiful countryside, with a view of the sea stretching out in the distance. Our room was very comfortable, the gardens were beautiful and the pool cool.

Adorable staff doing there best to make your stay wonderful. The view from the terrace is beautiful with a small pool for the hot days. The food very nice. The down side would be the connection to the city center of Fano that is not very easy if you don't have a car.

Kind and courteous. The place is very nice with many clubs just a stone's throw away and very close to free and private beaches. I spent one night on half board but I regretted the half board because there were so many places on the sea where we could eat fresh fish. Instead the breakfast all ok! Very cozy place if you are not demanding with luxurious hotels. Run by a family and with good restaurant downstairs. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Bikes for rent for free. NIce place for short holidays.

The hotel was very comfortable and they have their own restaurant. Also bicycles are available for the guests to explore the beautiful historical city center, I do recommend doing that. The sand beach is in front of the hotel and you can enjoy it easily.

Unexceptionable welcome! Laura makes you feel right at home. The structure is a bit old (the external curtains should be changed in my opinion). Great location, really a stone's throw from the beach. The hotel is nice and clean, but I found the rooms (at least mine) a bit small. Welcome was friendly and helpful. Parking is basically down to you although they enable you to enter the Central Zone. Apartment was nice. Linen high quality. Bathroom soap etc was questionable and not really up to standard. Our main issue was the Breakfast, served in your Apartment. Limited choice and not the best quality. Coffee undrinkable. Disappointing for over £200 a night. Would we return? ...
