Villa Irlanda Grand Hotel

Great resort and very reasonable rates with a full breakfast included. My family and extended family from ages 14 to 84 had an incredible experience at Villa Irlanda. The property was beautiful and so full of history and well maintained. Each building and room had its own charm. The AC worked fantastic as it was in the eighties outside and humid. We dined on the property most nights as a large group and the food was delicious with many types of seafood as the local fare. They were also great at accommodating food allergies. The staff from the wait staff to the front desk made us all feel special and helped with booking rides for a large group and other types of reservations for excursions. The location of the resort was perfect with a large pool but also across the street from the ocean. If you wanted to use the local bus it was easy to go into Gaeta historical area. This resort is close to other major cities within 2 hours from Naples and Sorrento for day trips. I would stay here again when I return to southern Italy.

I traveled with 12 of my family, that is, 13 in total. I was in contact with the office staff repeatedly before our arrival. I had many questions which they answered quickly. All our demands were met with efficiency. Since my grandaughter had many allergies they were able to prepare a special menu to meet her needs. They arranged for transportation for all of us when needed. I cannot say enough of the beautiful grounds, clean accommodations, pool and ocean beach. Their restaurant overlooking the ocean, main restaurant and wonderful breakfast buffet were each a delight but above all their service and their most warm, caring, professional, efficient and respectful staff. All 13 of us had the most wonderful and memorable experience. We all recommend whole heartedly this Hotel. I would give it a 15 instead of a 5. Sandra D

The grounds are stunning and rooms have beautiful views of fruit trees, mountains and ocean. The hotel offers both pool and ocean access. The staff is friendly and hospitable. Our large family of 13 enjoyed delicious dinners on the dock at sunset with great service. We were so sad to leave this paradise.

We spent 3 nights in February for a short break. We drove from Rome, which is about 2 hours away. We took the scenic route on the way down, and the motorway (8.30€ toll) going back. The scenic route is a bit more challenging, but worth it. The hotel is a lovely Italian villa and has rooms in the main building and in the 1930’s church building. Our room was in the main villa with views on the gardens and on the sea. The room was well equipped with Android tv, minibar, air conditioning, comfortable bed and great bathroom. The villa is set in a large park with hundreds of lemon and orange trees, all bearing fruits in this season. There is also free parking on the grounds, which is like gold dust in Italy. We used the breakfast buffet every morning. It has a great selection of continental options, but not hot breakfast, if that’s your thing. Gaeta is situated about 1h45 from Pompeii and Herculaneum, and 20mn from the war memorial at Minturno. The staff at reception was lovely and super helpful. There is a city tax of 4€ per person and per day at checkout, as it’s customary in Europe. The beach is only yards away, and there are several more as you drive along the coast towards Sperlonga. If you plan to stay in the area, I would definitely recommend staying at Villa Irlanda.

Perfect ! Stayed 2 nights and wished we had stayed longer. The best pool with great attendant Rosario. Excellent access to sea. Not a beach ,but and extensive dockdeck with ladder to sea . Excellent ,clear ,blue water with delightful sandy bottom. Easy parking and easy to find. Breakfast was great with good cappucino and fresh fruit and eggs and swets. Perfctly clean room and bathroom. Only thing id suggest is mor lighting in the halls and the rooms are a bit spartan and could use some pictures in the room. Great hotel!

The location couldn't be better, tucked right next to the ocean, but we actually spent most of our time by the pool it was so glorious. The staff were absolutely brilliant - special shout out to Liz! The breakfast buffet was served in the gardens and was the perfect combination of European offerings with lashings of fresh fruit. The meals we had in the hotel were exceptional - they managed gluten-free with no trouble at all (actually all of Italy was surprisingly well versed in making a gluttard feel welcome). The rooms are spacious and our view of the gardens and sea was delightful. If you are looking for a place to stay mostly visited by Italians who really appreciate the home cooking and excellent service, this is the spot for you!

I am just back from a fabulous week at the Villa Irlanda. The villa was immaculate and the grounds were breathtaking. All of the staff were exceptionally helpful especially Liz at the bar and Endera in reception. Their level of customer service was exceptional. My favourite part was breakfast which was set outside at the pool bar. So many choices of both hot and cold food which were all delicious. There is a bus stop right outside which will take you into Gaeta for 1 euro 10 cents much cheaper than a taxi and they run often till later on at night. I had a wonderful stay and was sad to come home. Thanks to the Villa for all your hard work x

From the morning breakfast which was brilliant, wonderful, courteous and professional staff, the pool, the lovely room, awesome minibar. Proximity by public transport to Gaeta. Excellent. The pool is big and blue with deep end and shallow. The break fast options are yummy and wide variety, hot, cold fresh cornetti. My room was well kept and clean. I loved the minibar. Front office staff are so welcoming and friendly, very helpful.

The structure is quite nice but the rooms are old. Also the beach is not very comfortable.
