Ramo d'Aria Etna Boutique Hotel

This place is a true hidden gem — something you wouldn’t expect when first arriving at the address. We were a bit puzzled at first. But then one of the staff kindly explained the name: Ramo d’Aria means “a branch of air” in Italian. You’re meant to imagine a bird, new to the area, returning from a long journey and landing on a peaceful branch to rest. That’s exactly what this place feels like — a serene perch with one of the most breathtaking views of Mount Etna.

And it’s no exaggeration — the view really is spectacular. At the same time, the location is just a short drive from Catania Airport, which makes it incredibly convenient.

The staff was extremely helpful — especially the gentleman at the reception, who gave us lots of great advice, and the kind woman at the restaurant, who helped us choose dishes for dinner. Breakfast was varied and generous, including freshly prepared eggs in any style you wanted, made to order.

We felt amazing here. One of the most thoughtful gestures was that we weren’t rushed to check out — we were allowed to relax by the pool and even take a shower before heading to the airport, with no extra charge. That kind of generosity added so much value to our short stay.

The food at the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. The wine, or rather the overall charge for it, felt a bit on the expensive side — but perhaps that’s simply because we were ordering it by the glass at the pool. In any case, we didn’t dwell on it — we were just so grateful for the lovely experience.

The pool area is beautifully designed, with stylish, leather-like loungers that give you the feeling of floating on water. Our room was incredibly spacious, with a direct view of Etna. We truly couldn’t have wished for more.

This is a wonderfully relaxing place — peaceful, elegant, and warm in every sense. We will definitely return.

great location, Bruno was such a gem with taking care of the family for a quick overnight stay- amazing pool and vibe amidst the nature of Catania, and a wonderful restaurant; service was fantastic and it’s an incredible property,

What a beautiful place — and Bruno, you’re an absolute legend! Thank you for having me and my family. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. The pool, the food, the wine, the staff… all amazing. A truly special experience!

Wow! The restaurant: Elegant meal, impeccable but not stuffy service, creative chef and a good value. Comparable standards at least twice the price. One drawback, a waft of cigar smoke every 15 minutes blowing in from the outdoor terrace.

Very quiet place, far away from the chaos of the city. Kind and excellent staff. The rooms are a bit expensive and the only complaint is about the shower: in my opinion it is too tiny. The gem of this place is the waterpool: open even in the night, it offers to guests one of the best landscape view of Etna I ever saw by so far. The restaurant reaches a very high level of gourmet meals, thanks to the great Chef.

If you booked a room here, then you may consider the idea of spend at least one morning or afternoon into the joint SPA "Zash". It is almost 1km far away from the country hotel and you will get a 50% discount on the ticket, saving 10€/pax.

We had one night in this beautiful B&B. When we arrived at the B&B we were first welcomed by the lovely smell of all the flowers that grow around the B&B. The receptionist was very hospitable and gave us a warm welcome. And we were very lucky to get an upgrade for our room! The room was beautiful and quiet. The swimming pool is situated beautifully with view at the Etna which make the Aperol spritz taste even better! We had dinner at the restaurant and that was incredible! Again the view of the fire spitting Etna, and a real taste of Sicily. This was actually the best food we had in Sicily so far! The next day we wanted to leave in the evening and that was not a problem, as we were still welcome at the pool! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we would really recommend it!

Friendly stuff, classic clean room was but nothing extravagant. The plus of this hotel is the piscine with the view on Etna's Mount.
