I've been to the Cappuccini twice -- the first time 18 years ago on my honeymoon, and now recently on an extended family trip (with kids, parents, cousins). I was worried post-pandemic the hotel could have changed in a negative way but I'm a pleased to report that the Cappuccini is as great as ever. New to our experience was the excellent spa, which I strongly recommend. The hotel is well furnished, sizable rooms, and an easy walk right into Gubbio center. I also rented a car and parking was hassle free. For other folks on our trip, the hotel coordinated private car services to take them to and from airports/train stations in Perugia. Overall, I strongly recommend the Cappuccini.

Excellent stay at this hotel! The location is ideal, just a short walk from Gubbio's historic old town, a breathtaking medieval walled city. The rooms were fantastic, and the hotel itself has a unique atmosphere, almost like staying in a museum.

We were overwhelmed by the hotel. Period, Full stop, The room was large, comfortable and well furnished and the bathroom was the best we experienced during our two-week Umbrian sojourn. The spa, pool and gym facilities are astonishing! We devoured two wonderful meals with "curated" wines provided by the excellent wait-staff.

Beautiful hotel, with outstanding features (swimming pools, spa, paddle court...).
Great place for us to stay and rest when driving across Italy.
The restaurant was also excellent with great dishes.
I would have enjoyed a bit more info when I checked-in to better understand what the hotel had to offer, but I obviously find out by myself.
Overall, I can only recommend this excellent hotel!!

The hotel, the hoteliers, the food, the room, all of them were great. But on top of it all, I had a massage and your Masseuse was excellent. I love her service!

Pros: Nice spacious hotel. Very quite. Good indoor pool. Good gym. Every day room cleaning. Friendly staff. Ok location for travellers by car.
Cons: Not very much child friendly, no playgrounds, no entertainment, some dangerous places for small kids( e.g. sharp corner in outdoor pool). No good outdoor pool for children. Not everything cleaned perfectly, some spider net on the lamp in our room. Price is not cheap, but sauna is not included, which is usually included in other hotels. Hotel visitors are mainly people 60+. City center is 20 min walk, in close proximity almost no restaurants or anything.

We only dined at the restaurant. Despite the prices being higher than average, the food was good and the service, at first a bit stand-offish, improved throughout the meal. Both dishes arrived quickly and were well-made. I'd return here but next time I'd combine it with a stay at the hotel.

A really nice place with a really nice and kind staff.
High quality service for a really decent price especially in Italy.
They even created a specific entrance for the Spartan event participants (we were full of mud). We could wash ourselves before getting in the hotel and our room.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, which was once a monastery, just outside the old town of Gubbio. Walking to the center of Gubbio took only 10 minutes. The hotel has a lot of parking and is easy to reach from the main roads. The restaurant is excellent. They serve specialties from the region. I had two dinners and a lunch here. Service is professional and friendly. The 25 meter swimming is unusual in Italy and I enjoyed doing laps in the afternoon after a long walk. There is a spa which offers massages and facials. I would definitely come back to this hotel.
