If you arrive before 3pm you cannot enter because check in can only be done after that time. A computer welcomes you and you have to manage to enter all the data and codes to get the keys. All automated like an ATM. If you are taller than 1.75m, the attic room doesn't allow you to stand up straight because you'll hit your head, especially in the bathroom where you have to go around bent over. Imagine me being 1.83 m. The bed, in which I slept diagonally because it was short, needed to be made, so I called the manager who then sent the maid to do it while we went out in the afternoon. When I returned I was surprised: between the sheets there were other people's hair and hair, and dust on the shelves of the headboard of the bed where obviously I didn't put anything on it. The neighbors in the next room were smoking on the terrace and I had to close the window due to the smell of smoke coming in.
I would say that 90 euros for 2 for a room like this without breakfast was the worst expense I've made in my life. Totally rejected.

We stayed for 3 nights, good quality/price, good panoramic position. It is half an hour's walk from the center, so for those who love walking there are many pedestrian paths that lead to the center of Merano. 5 minutes from there by car, there is the cable car that takes you to Merano 2000. I would say the location of the pension is excellent.

The rooms were not 100% clean. The dust on the bedroom furniture wasn't just from today.
The view of the mountains is great, but it doesn't make the smell in the bathroom any better. It smelled like rotten eggs here.
If, like us, you are just looking for a hotel to stay overnight, this hotel is acceptable.
Checking in and out was quick and easy using a PC in the entrance area.

It can also be booked late in the evening but then the access code does not arrive immediately (yes, because there is self check-in) and if you point it out via the telephone number you will be told that it is your fault for booking so soon in advance.
Don't ring the external intercom because the old man will come out and freak out (closing the door behind him without helping you).
Don't try to check emails or chats inside because it won't connect anyway and you'll only find the wifi password in your room.
Self checkin is a pain.
The room was ok, maybe they could have changed the soap dish and put in an extra bin.
It's not very convenient for walking into town but there is car parking.
Bathroom with tub and shower and window and bidet.
While we were loading the cars, 2 ladies arrived who also had problems with the codes and self checkin.

Too expensive for what you get. Room is clean and tidy, but very small for 3 people. Check-in is digital and that is very unpleasant if you have just spent a whole day in the car. The staff was very helpful on the phone. The next day I checked in at the counter of the other hotel. Breakfast is also in the other hotel which is not really within walking distance. Staff again very friendly. Location on a busy main road was not really ideal.
