Hotel Adria

Uff! This was really not comfortable stay. First - a shower in our room was broken and disintegrated as we came, room not cleaned at all. Alternative room was even worse (like in a cheap hostel, nothing worked) so we had to take back the first room and we were promised to fix it the next morning, which didn't happen. Another promise to fix the shower the next day (so two days without a shower), also didn't happen. When we got angry at the reception and asked at least for a discount (no one even apologized for inconvenience), they told us that discount is not possible, but they can give us some free drinks. Also the air condition didn't work. The only nice thing were breakfast, but quite strange range of food - 30 types of pastry, breads, buns etc. but only one type of ham and one type of cheese. Almost no vegetables. Coffee machine broke down during breakfast. During a storm there were massive leakages in the restaurant so water was dripping from the ceiling! Sad thing is that staff was overall nice and pleasant, but absolutely incompetent. Hotel could use a lot of renovation or at least a deep cleanse. Never coming back again.

Sometimes it's difficult to rate a hotel - especially when some things are quite nice (food: well prepared, plenty, nicely seasoned, fast service. This said: the good service during meals did not extend to the bar. Highly unmotivated staff there... ), while other things are highly unpleasant - not to say plainly disgusting.
We arrived in the hotel to find that our room was not properly cleaned. Apart from dust on the shelves and sand on the floor, not even the empty shower gel from the previous guest was removed from the bathroom.
Worst of all: the shower was broken and we had only cold water to shower. At that time the mould that grows in the bathroom didn't even bother us that much any more. The stench of chlorine cleaner was a clear indication, that the management was aware of the mould problem and was taking care of it.
Unfortunately, getting a properly working shower was a big task. Reception failed to help. The manager refused to talk with us - even though being in the room next door. Our request for changing the room was ignored.
Lucky us we didn't get to stay much in the room: as every tiny bit of noise could be heard through walls, we tried to be out of the room as much as possible.
The day before our stay was over, we finally were given an additional room where we could use a functional shower. The room was 3 floors away and not in habitable due to some problem caused by weather...
(fun fact: only one out of two elevators could go to the 6th floor; the other had a broken knob - so it would only take you to 5th floor.)
So please forgive... But more than one star rating would be just too good.

Horrible rooms! Even booked a premium room but very basic for the price you pay!! Breakfast room over crowded during corona and some people don’t even wear masks! Dont recommend this place
