Hotel Europa

It is sorta close to the train station. Service is horrible, staff would randomly barge into our room during the day. They also questioned when I was standing in the lobby trying to cool off a little bit even after I had just come down. I was trying to cool down because the AC does not work in most rooms. Would not recommend this hotel.

Most afwul hotel I've ever been in. The staff was extremely rude. I was witing for 10 minutes until receptionist was talking to the phone, all she had to do give me my passport which was in front of her. I was very late, and I just said can I have my passport, she started yelling at me. And the room seemed like it wasn't restored since 60s. I paid 170 euros for the room, but after their attitude I left the hotel, never stayed there. Just left the Modena.

The furniture is very old. One window and one door was broken. The air conditioning didn’t work properly. There was a closed door between our and some other room. So we could hear almost everything from the neighbour’s. The price to high for these conditions. But the guy on the reception was very friendly and helpful and he speaks good English.

At first they gave us a room on the third floor overlooking the window at the back of the building. It was very small and the windows did not lock because it was old-fashioned and not well maintained. in this room the bathroom ran only from above. we asked them to change our room to see a view in front of the street and they did it immediately. the second room was more spacious and the windows were closed with shutters from the outside but inside the glass window again did not close well so we could hear outside which vehicle was passing. it had no sound insulation at all and we could hear the adjoining and upstairs rooms a lot. in this room the shower was very narrow so that when you take a shower you tap the faucet and turn it off unintentionally or unintentionally change the water temperature. WORST OF ALL, IT WAS THAT THE HOTEL HAD IN SOME AREAS STINKED VERY DISGUSTING AND ESPECIALLY THE SECOND ROOM THEY GAVE US. also from the first night we saw that we had a big bath towel instead of two. We stayed three nights and every morning we asked to be given a second towel. they very kindly told us that they would note it and that they would put the towel on us in the morning when they would clean the room but they never filled in the missing towel

Thin walls, could hear the neighbours late in the evening. Room smelled really bad - like cigarettes, and smoking has been banned inside for quite some time. Makes me wonder when the last renovation took place. The sheets are also very old (for the price of pur stay you could buy at least 5 rooms worth of sheets…). Very bad value for the price.

Worst hotel I've ever been in. The room was very small and old fashioned. The door and walls are so poorly done and thin, that we could hear even at 2am the employees talk at the entrance. Sleeping was definitely not possible due to all the noise coming from the staircase, lift, staff and neighbors. In the room we could smell gaz and oil which made it even more difficult to sleep. For the amount we paid for the room, this was a disgrace.

Poor. Booked a non-smoking room which had a very strong smell of smoke, the staff at the front desk seemed put out when we came to check in & the rooms aren't very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty decent.

Also, don't leave the air conditioner on when the lights are off as the display on the unit lights up the entire bedroom.
