Hotel Daunia was great. The staff that did my check-in was the sweetest guy, I'm still learning Italian and he helped with it, speaking in both English and Italian. The room I was in incredible, I loved the decoration, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very good. Everything was perfect. I very much enjoyed my stay, it's a lovely place. Also, the breakfast was delicious.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, modem and quite, with good parking and rich breakfast. Cons: very "cold" staff, almost impolite. Very, very cold rooms with heating not working. They gave me a double room with two single beds instead of one queen/king despite having booked one.

room itself was nice, bed was lovely , though bathroom didn't close properly, shower head was blocked and scaly, i encountered a rather funny looking bug in with coffee sachets, (turned out to be a marmorated brown stink bug) was rather disgusting tbf. i did inform reception, but didn't seem bothered.

At 3 a.m., we stumbled upon the hotel, and the late-night shift was remarkably courteous and efficient. The room impressed us with its spotless cleanliness, incredibly comfortable beds, and tasteful decor. Moreover, the breakfast team was exceedingly friendly and always eager to help with a smile. The parking facilities were convenient, and the communal areas were kept impeccably clean.

Ok experience. Rooms ok, service ok but breakfast was good. Shame there wasn't a pool and no one to assist at "spa". There was a great outdoor area on the balcony next to spa but closed - weather was great so this would have made massive difference, especially if served food and drink too. Location a little industrial.

Very happy with hotel lux, location was great and great parking for our articulated truck, we had to leave at 7am and they let us in for breakfast at 6.30. Very nice people and great restaurant/ bar next door, room spotless clean, no complaints 👌 will vist again for sure. David from Ireland

The property wasn’t located where I thought & was just off the highway, BUT in saying that it was adequate for a night. The room was large & spotlessly clean. breakfast was well laid out, a lot of options.

It was a great time wi my family and a great service we got free drinks from the reception and a amazing free breakfast it was really cheap for 4 peoples too the people were really nice too. They get your room cleaned every day too!

Stayed as the second “lockdown” started, it’s just off the motorway so nice and easy to get to. Dog friendly, lots of room for ours to run around. This is definitely a unique place to stay, the Lady at reception was miserable and very unhelpful.

The hotel is in an origin status since lot of years... The inside architecture remind on the past usage of the hotel(brothel), incl. pictures and mirrors in the rooms. Everything is very clean and service personal very nice. The breakfast is good, includes everything you wish. The location is in a quite area outside city, close to the highway but in the room I did not hear anything.

This hotel is intersting place.It was brodel before,in the begining of 20 th century,and everithing still stay as it was.There are plenty exšplicit pictures around,You feel like you sleep in some museum of sex. In vicinity there is restaurant La Piola,where you can eat ancient food prepared as peasants use to do.It .Enzio Ferrari use to eat there.Exelent experience.

True a bit cold, but wonderfully historic in a beautiful rural setting with lime trees framing the garden. I stayed in the hotel for two nights, the hotel is very nice. The room is new, very clean, very big bed and includes everything that you would need during your stay. There is a free breakfast buffet and they take care about covid measures. During the evening there is a very nice restaurant that opens at 7:30. Staff are very nice, I really enjoyed my stay!

For the most part, the hotel is excellent. Beds are comfortable, staff is friendly, and the attached restaurant offers great food at very reasonable prices. What let the experience down a little is that you have to like Italian breakfast, which is usually a small, sweet breakfast. Meant to be the only 5 star hotel in Modena which has been recently renovated. On getting to the room we noticed a buzzing sound which permeates the whole hotel, no room is exempt! No wonder there are ear plugs available. Also the bath is the most ridiculous design. You have to straddle the bath to reach the taps v dangerous. There was no turndown service and in the morning we got an unrequested wake...

The staff was all delightful. The location is just outside the old city and an easy walk to the main attractions. If you rent a car, you can park right out front or can catch bus as the routes are right outside. The outside & inside lobby are spacious. I thought this was a 3 star hotel instead of 4. However it was fine for an overnight stay. Rooms were on the small side, shower pressure was good and it’s near the station

Everything was wonderful, from the staff to the location. We were kind of worried how we’d make it to our dinner reservation but the front desk was able to get a taxi to us in under 2 minutes with a click of a button, and the hotel was within walking distance to some great gardens and museums!

Nice hotel. Well-furnished and equipped room (single). Breakfast has only few options. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was not satisfactory - deep-fried dried-up fish chunks with tough coating and roasted potatoes. Salad of leaves only. Good dessert, though - pears with cream.

Very nice hotel. The rooms could have been a bit bigger unfortunately split it with a friend and the beds could have been a bit further apart. The restaurant next door is very good (recommend). The facilities were very nice and breakfast was very good. Everything was very new and the staff was very nice and helpful. However the lobby must be called to activate the air-conditioning in the room and they control it and it shuts off during the night so prepare to sweat mid way through the night if the weather is hot. 5 stars, everything was perfect. Comfortable, clean, and extremely friendly & helpful staff - especially in how they assisted us with our smashed car window, a souvenir from our evening in the city (this didn’t happen on the hotel parking premises!). You can’t go wrong with this hotel, value for your money.

As someone from the U.S. This has been a very enjoyable stay. The walls are thin so you hear toilets flushing and people having regular conversation in adjacent rooms but the overall quality is good if the room is good. Service staff is very good and breakfast is decent.

Warm atmosphere, nice location and helpful personnel

We stayed here on very short notice for only one night and had a very good experience. The room was large and clean and the breakfast was good. Good value and not a bad location if you are willing to stay just outside of the city center.

The hostel is located in a very nice area, close to the city center and the train station. The personal in the reception is really friendly and helpful. The common spaces are pretty colorful and serve the purpose. You get a key for a locker to put your stuff in the room, which I found really good. Very good location in the city centre. Room is equipped with kettle, mini bar, hair dryer, different types of pillows. Very comfortable. Reception "Lida" was helpful. Paid parking is available in a near nearby garage. Alternatively you can street park for free nearby in the blue or white parking spaces - but you must display a ticket which you must get from the hotel.
