Hotel San Marco

Nice mid range hotel, very close to ski lift. Friendly and hardworking staff. Daily choice of three starters and mains and every day different foods on the buffet. Fairly priced wine list with a fine selection of regional wines. All ingredients for a perfect holiday are present.
After second day's dinner i became sick in the night and was bed bound for the next day with symptoms of food poisoning. I kindly informed the reception worker that (although i had lunch at a different place, but there was also a significant number of persons missing for dinner.. ) the option should be considered that there was something wrong with last night's food. She reacted very surprised: none of the staff went ill and she had not gotten any other complaints and promised to report it to her director.
The next day i talked to some of the absent people from the night before and it turned out that they had all been in sick in bed for the whole day. My total approximation is 15-20 persons.
That same night i talked to the hotel director: "you are a half-board customer, so it could have happened in another place", "it must have been the current flue epidemic in Italy", "not in my kitchen", "you're a gossip!", etc, etc. In my despair, i clumsily faked a doctor visit and when he found out that that wasn't exactly true, he completely exploded and threatened to call the police.

Though we will never be 100% sure what happened (thouth i am!), it is for 100% sure that this is not the way to treat an alleged food poisoning !! Horror holiday. Never again.
