Nice rooms with a well equiped bathroom. Airco is adjustable at the airco to accelerate the fan!! Swiming pool with a terrace. Bought a bottle of Orvieto White wine. IT is too far to Walk when you leave late

A wonderful place surrounded by nature at a few minutes from the town. There's a pool, rooms are beautiful and the beds are very comfortable.

Clean adequate. Has a pool. Inexpensive. Basic breakfast. Located near train. Beds hard. Room small. AC struggles. No English speaking. You get what you pay for. Good for 1 night.

My husband has come here with students for 8 years. I have accompanied him twice. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We spent 2 weeks there and I miss it already

The Wi-Fi is a little bit weak for one of the nights during my visit. Luckily I had my own data card so it's ok for me. The owner/staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Hotel Virgilio

As a single female traveler I don't go out at night. But in Hotel Virgilio my room can see the whole piazza del duomo. Therefore I can see how the local people socialize in the square at night

Helpful, friendly and English-speaking staff. Tiny rooms with wonderful views of the Duomo. You're not supposed to take your room key with you, which I find very odd but isn't a problem

This is a wonderful charming hotel with every accomodation. The hosts/owners are attentive and responsive. We enjoyed wine on the patio and great coffee in the breakfast room

The windows are double glazed so it's quiet in the room. Amazing! The room is spotless clean with air conditioning. The bath room is a little bit small but no problem for me

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Also very nice to have breakfast in the garden. I would like to suggest possibly a breakfast of a more appropriate level to the rates applied and to the quality of the structure

If you are visiting Orvieto, there's a good chance that you're interested in history and the beauties of ancient Italy. If that's the case, there's no better place to stay than Hotel La Badia

Amazing old hotel near orvieto which is a must see Town. Hotel price was very reasonable $120 CND for a good size room. The restaurant at the hotel was ok. But the food in orvieto town was better.

What an incredible place at a bargain price! Budget room was spartan, but comfortable. Absolutely worth a stay. Restaurant was impressive.

Easy to reach, next to the highway and high speed railway. Must have your own car to move around since public transport is lacking.

Reasonable price and the hotel is clean and not too old, railroad is very close so its a bit loud but with some earplugs you can manage 😀

It has two swimming pools including an infinity pool with a panoramic view, a spa, a restaurant near the pool, a spa, parking, and the possibility of taking a suite (we took it and it deserved it)

fantastic place with good restaurant, swimming pool and quiet rooms. Very well connected with the highway right down the road and 5mn from Orvieto. The view on orvieto and the cathedral is great!

In the complex of the structure there was a small but adequate SPA where you can have a sauna, a Turkish bath, a hot pool in a tuff cave and a shower path with different temperatures

The structure has a spa, an outdoor swimming pool (with a view of Orvieto) and an internal restaurant (we didn't try it, but the breakfast is good and with excellent variety)

Another strong point of this location is the breathtaking panorama almost from a film where there is a good-sized swimming pool overlooking the panorama

At the entrance you find yourself in a large living room where you can enjoy digital TV, personal wi-fi (with excellent reception throughout the room), mini bar, large sofa with very comfortable armchair on which you can pleasantly relax

Good tasting menu am Breakfast . There should be hot water pool outside as the water was cold when I visited in early September. It was Difficult to find the room

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon. It is beautiful and peaceful but a short drive from Orvieto. Great views from the room, breakfast, and the pool. I would definitely stay here again

The Wine Resort is great to relax and enjoy the nature. We had a suite with a spectacular view over part of the wine resort. Two pools and a Spa make the stay even more enjoyable

Quiet, lovely, relaxing, tranquil. Altarocca is a place for couples looking to get away and spend some quiet time together. The hotel is located atop a lovely hillside overlooking fantastic views of Umbria

PS: they do have wine tasting and food pairing in the hotel itself. Andrea who conducted the class, provided us a lot of information about their new organic wines. Absolutely marvelous experience

Everything here is breathtaking and breakfast was amazing. By far the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had in Italy! Definitely worth every penny. Rooms are clean, homely and rustic

Very Helpful staff and great location!

The room was perfect for us, a nice size, big windows, lots of power outlets, very comfortable beds, lots of places to put your things, big bathroom with a big shower, very clean. The staff was so friendly and welcoming

The views from the large and comfortable bedroom were incredible and the hosts exceeded all expectations. Usually there is always something you could nitpick, but not here, down to the quality of the linens and towels

We were greeted by Martin (the owner with his wife, Federica), who is fluent in Dutch, English, German, Italian and also has basic French! A lovely couple who are relaxed and friendly and very accommodating

Our family of 7 adults stayed here for two days. The entrance to the property is very unassuming like many Italian country residences but when you enter the driveway it does not disappoint

The breakfast all made by Federica was very lovely with many homemade cakes, breads, and jams (all depending on time of year). Everything down to the butter is organic

Oh and their lovely little dog, Firenze. We explored around the back and wow. The view of Orvieto was nothing less than spectacular! We all had views from our rooms

A good choice if you don’t want to stay in Orvieto but want to visit Orvieto and do car trips to other hill town cities including Todi, Bagnoreggio. Also can hike to Rocca Riposena and Sugano directly from the property

Had the pleasure of Alessia provide us with not only a tour of the wine making facilities but a lunch with paired wines! If staying in the hotel also have a pool and hiking trails through the vineyard

This is a very peaceful place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Although it was just my husband and I, they are very welcoming to families and the pool is a nice treat for the children

Being here in January for the celebration of the Eucharistic miracle at the Duomo was something we’ll remember forever. Our meal was outstanding- truly delicious. We had the most amazing breakfast spread

I loved that the TV was small as I dislike televisions, and the internet was fast and reliable as I had to get work done. Book directly with the owners and you can avoid the high fees booking sites charge

It is absolutely in the historic centre, surrounded by places of interest and within easy walking distance of the fabulous cathedral, the principal shopping street, bars and restaurants

The owner was clearly sad about the breakfast room being out of use. I chose a place with lots of stairs to ensure I get exercise

Lovely stay close to Orvieto(10min driving) with easy parking nearby. The apartment was big, comfy and clean. The street is also very silent in the evening

The breakfast is self service and the lady managed to get us some soy milk upon request. I would definitely recommend staying here

A very nice apartment located very central, right near a nice restaurant we had a delightful dinner in. Our daughter loved the baby bed with the nice bedding. We wish we could have stayed longer

It is located on the border between Umbria and Lazio and from here you can visit the many beauties such as Orvieto and its cathedral or Tuscia with Civita di Bagnoreggio (the dying city) and the many other beauties of the area

First of all I'm talking about people; Kind, affable and respectable. This makes this place special, very well kept, full of beauty and tranquility

And then the silence, or rather, as Battiato sings, an ocean of silence

The room was well heated and the water very hot, which is not at all obvious. The food was excellent and very varied, but that same variety was offered every day. so much so that it seemed even boring

After being delayed for three years we finally got married at Castello di Titignano in June 2023 and what a wedding it was! The venue was spectacular, the food was incredible - we had the best time
