Hotel del Sole

The Hotel location is unbeatable, literally in front of the Pompeii arena entrance. The Room is clean and with all you need, private bathroom and a fridge, bed is comfy. Personnel is welcoming and flexible, they allowed us to park the car in the parking lot, visit Pompeii Archeological Park and come back later to check in. I recommend this Hotel to everyone. u$s 130 per nigh.

Awesome location almost directly opposite the entrance to pompeii and nearby Mount Vesuvius bus pick ups. We stayed in the suite which was great price, massive, awesome balcony overlooking the Pompeii ruins and included a really great breakfast. The decoration of the room was Pompeii theme and while in other situations would be tacky we found it really cool.

Front of house were friendly and good English, the restaurant downstairs is amazing but make sure you book on reception.

The hotel is located very close to the entrance to the Pompeii archaeological park, which makes it in a very good location. The rooms are cleaned daily, and towels are also changed daily. I have no objections to the breakfast. There is a parking at the back of the hotel.

Fabulous hotel, spotlessly clean throughout. Fantastic breakfasts in a really good dining room with a fantastic view of the Pompeii archeological site and Vesuvius. The hotel is in a great location.

I spent two nights in this hotel at the end of my trip to the Amalfi Coast during August 2023. This hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the main train station (keep this in mind when walking with luggage and 27 degree weather). The hotel is right across the road from Pompei Archaeological Park, which is an ideal location! The Mount Vesuvius bus stop is right outside this hotel too (the bus was only €3.80 for a single trip and takes you to the entrance of the Volcano). During my week visiting the Amalfi Coast this hotel had the best air conditioning! We were concerned incase there was no air conditioning (like one hotel in Sorrento) but we were glad there was air conditioning. I'm from Ireland so there was a huge difference in weather (it was 27-38 degrees). The hotel room was pretty big, we also had a small balcony (we didn't pay extra for this). The staff were very helpful when checking-in and out, we also asked them for tips for stuff to do as there is only the archaeological park in the town. The restaurant was amazing! The pizza was so nice and they did non-alcoholic cocktails. The staff were helpful and spoke English fluently. The prices were a little bit more expensive than Sorrento, but totally worth it. The breakfast area was fab, amazing views of the archaeological park and Mount Vesuvius, the decor was very cool. I felt very safe in this hotel, but I would recommend doing Pompei as a day trip and staying in Sorrento (there's more atmosphere there). I would totally recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Italy.
