The hotel is situated on a cliff top in Porto Ercole, on the Peninsula of Monte Argentario. It offers a private rocky beach and a swimming pool with heated sea water. The hotel has a choice of two restaurants: the gourmet restaurant Il Pellicano, Michelin-starred, gourmet meals, and Pelligrill restaurant with sea views serves Tuscan cuisine. The elegant rooms are decorated in Tuscan style. Great place for a relaxing or romantic getaway.

Consists of one 3-storey main building and several cottages.

Beach: private beach platform at 30 m from the hotel (1st coastal line). Sun beds, umbrellas - free of charge. The length of the beach - 50 m.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in April and it was the height of luxury. The rooms were spacious with incredible amenities and the service was impeccable. The views were outstanding and our entire stay was extremely tranquil. We enjoyed a dinner at their Michelin star restaurant which was a very special outing. Since we were there during their low season, the hotel was particularly quiet which we enjoyed. The perfect location for a honeymoon!

We recently returned to Il Pellicano and as impossible as it can be the hotel only gets better and better. It is a truly spectacular hotel and it is hard to improve on perfection. Beautiful grounds, polite and helpful staff, excellent food and very relaxing. Angelo is a spectacular GM and his staff world class.
Awesome time. Cannot wait to return.

Il Pellicano is a quiet haven of luxury and elegance. Nothing screams for attention, yet you can feel that everything around you is first-class—the beautifully manicured gardens, the selection in the boutique, the food, the table linens, the bed sheets, and the bathroom amenities. Everything is simply perfect.

The reservations team is incredibly fast, professional, and works wonders—we were even upgraded during our stay. The bar, the music, and the dinners are all superb! The clientele is sophisticated, and it’s truly a pleasure to be among such people.

But the real highlight is the sea—crystal clear and warm. It’s advisable to swim with water shoes, as the rocks can be sharp and might hurt your feet otherwise.

This is a true gem of Italy. Bravo to the owners for creating such an extraordinary place!

Nice location and great staff. Rooms are tired looking and not fitting for the price. Our air conditiong barely worked and after multiple asks for a repair, nothing was corrected. We stay at many 5 star places and not coming back to this one. Needs some upgrading and more elegant decor.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Il Pellicano on June 2026. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, perched on the cliffs of the sea with stunning grounds. The service was great, warm and friendly, and the hotel had a younger clientele and intimate feel. You felt like you were at a very boutique home. We’d definitely return for the amazing setting, service and beach.

The only negative was that the food was VERY expensive - $50 for a salad, $50 for a small tuna tartare, $60 for a pizza and $130 for a not very large fish. And on top of the price, we found the food to be good but not great.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Top Class Hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff who made me feel welcome and valued.
What truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff was always attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met without being intrusive. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.
Overall, my experience at the Top Class Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious stay with exceptional service. I can’t wait to return!

A hidden gem. Part private villa and part hotel. This must be one of the most beautiful places on the coast of Italy. Pristine Mediterranean water for swimming, two star Michelin dining, attentive hotel service, private living quarters scattered throughout the beautifully manicured property. This might be one of the top three places I've ever had the pleasure of staying at.

I have been to many 5 star hotels & this is not a 5 star hotel— I give it 3.8 out of 5. All staff on site were friendly, but I believe it’s the management team that needs to remind employees and most of all THEMSELVES to check up on guest refills, pool/beach towel changes, & most of all, not making up lies. All guests at the pool the days I spent, all complained about the temperature. Staff would say it’s 23•C or 26, when in reality it was a cold winter’s day type of temp; very ridiculous. When you are talking about a 5 star resort, you are referring to constant on-foot service & guaranteed service; actually,
Above & Beyond commitment.

Not sure why the rooms are around 1,500 per night - nothing amazing, cracks on the wall, needs new paint. The phone on the night stand did not work, none of the buttons worked.

The food is average; pizza that anyone in the world can produce, they require a 24/7 notice - it’s pizza, not a 4-tier wedding cake.

Lastly, when I think of a 5 star resort, I think we can all agree that amenities and shuttle service are always expected on site. The location of the hotel is kind of far out. To get to a town or a Tuscan wine adventure for a day, the hotel has no real tour service connection for guests nor any shuttles. Again, I’ve been at 5 star hotels & have seen them provide this type of service.

Spectacular location, lovely simple rooms, really nice sea side sun lounge set up, beautiful swimming, very friendly team. Lunch closes at 2.00 which is odd for a summer holiday hotel in Italy and the restaurant and beach service, while very friendly isn’t as attentive as you might expect for a hotel in this price bracket.
